I had the opportunity to see a wealth of wildlife in the Amboseli and Serengeti National Parks, which was a dream come true. I especially fondly remember my driver, Hempri – he was incredibly professional, friendly, and made the safari even more enjoyable.
The night spent at the campsite, surrounded by the sounds of the bush and the sounds of wild animals, was absolutely exceptional and will remain in my memory forever.

I had an exceptional experience working with Teddy Shallytom and Jamlan Holiday Safaris. I had long dreamed of visiting Kenya and Tanzania during the Great Wildebeest Migration, so I spoke with friends and family who had taken similar trips. My sister had booked a 12-day safari with Teddy several years earlier and spoke highly of both him and his company. After researching other operators and comparing itineraries and pricing, I ultimately chose Jamlan Holiday Safaris—and I’m very glad I did.
After discussing my interests, trip duration, and budget, Teddy designed a customized itinerary that perfectly balanced wildlife viewing, comfort, and value. Our 10-day safari included Tanzania—flying into Kilimanjaro and visiting Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti—followed by Kenya, where we explored the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli before flying home from Nairobi. The itinerary also included a land border crossing between the two countries.

Teddy took the time to understand exactly what was important to me and never tried to upsell unnecessary extras. He was consistently responsive via email and WhatsApp and was even willing to arrange a video call to answer questions in detail. Throughout the planning process, he also kept us informed about important health and political developments in the countries we were visiting, which gave us added confidence and peace of mind.
2) Outstanding Value for Money
The safari provided tremendous value. The accommodations, food, and overall service exceeded expectations, especially considering the price compared to other operators I evaluated. Some of the lodges were truly spectacular, particularly The Retreat at Ngorongoro and Amani Mara in the Maasai Mara. Memorable experiences such as the bush dinner at Amani Mara made the trip even more special.
3) Flexibility and Personalized Service
After my original booking, a friend and her family decided to join us. Teddy was incredibly accommodating and successfully incorporated them into our itinerary while keeping the same accommodations whenever possible. Having a private safari for our two families allowed for greater flexibility in setting our daily schedules and tailoring wildlife viewing opportunities to our interests.
4) Reliability and Safety
From start to finish, everything ran smoothly. The drivers were professional, dependable, and prioritized safety at all times. Bottled drinking water was readily available throughout the trip. At several lodges located close to wildlife areas, escorts were provided to and from guest accommodations, which was both reassuring and appreciated. Our Tanzanian driver went above and beyond with thoughtful touches, including wildlife reference books and binoculars that enhanced our game-viewing experience.
The wildlife sightings were extraordinary. We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five within the first few days and witnessed incredible predator activity, including a pride of lions feeding on a Cape buffalo and a hyena feeding on a zebra. Experiences like these made for an unforgettable safari.
Overall, the trip exceeded all expectations. Teddy’s professionalism, expertise, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to customer satisfaction made this one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. I would wholeheartedly recommend Teddy Shallytom and Jamlan Holiday Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Kenya, Tanzania, or East Africa.

I loved the safari; our guide, Laurens, was incredibly attentive and really made an effort to spot many different animal species. Chef Pascal—my favorite—took great care of the whole group. I highly recommend it—great value for money and a fantastic experience.

A huge thank you to Omar and Alex for making it so special. Omar was fantastic—he not only shared deep insights that brought every sighting to life but also had a knack for finding hidden spots away from the crowds, giving us incredible, private views of the wildlife. Alex was equally excellent, ensuring we felt completely safe on the road while navigating us to all the best locations.
The accommodations—both tents and houses—were clean and comfortable, and the daily breakfast, warm lunch, and dinner were all delicious. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a perfectly organized adventure.

Fantastic service
We had such an amazing time in Uganda.
Our guide (Mustafah) was so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and nothing was too much trouble.
I was apprehensive when initially booking the safari with regards to send money to a foreign country but my mind was put at ease with the professionalism of everyone at Kubwa 5.

Sassabi Expeditions far exceeded our expectations!
My wife and I along with some friends from California went to Tanzania for mission work. We wrapped up our time there with a 2 day safari.
Tanzania is amazing. The landscape is breathtaking and people are amazing. We spent some time not far from Mount Kilimanjaro and had the opportunity to meet many Tanzanians. The people are very gracious and hospitable. One time while we were in the bush, an older woman walked up to my wife and I, extended her hands, shook our hands and smiled. Then she turned, walked away and continued on her journey. There were dozens of similar interactions during our stay.
The Safari trip with Sassabi Expeditions far exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Immanuel, was very experienced in all aspects of a Safari guide. With over 20 years of Safari experience, he was also a mechanic at one time. He knew the roads very well, and was especially knowledgeable about Tanzania people, landscape, and wildlife. He knew how to find the animals we were hoping to see.
Our trip included a day at the Tarangire Park and another day at Ngorongoro Crater. Both were great experiences. We saw many animals in the wild including: giraffes, elephants, lions, warthogs, rhinocerous, hippos, zebras, water buffalo, jackals, wilderbeasts, babboons, monkeys, flamingos, various birds only seen in Africa. While many of these were up close, I never felt unsafe.
The vehicle was well maintained, comfortable and capable of handling the rugged terrain we encountered.
Sassabi also arranged for us to stayed at a nice lodge. At the end of the trip Immanuel got us to the airport for our flight home.

Fantastic
a two-hour afternoon safari, which was a fantastic start to the trip. July is a busy season with abundant wildlife and many visitors, but our guide, Francis, took us all around the Masai Mara and made sure we had a thorough and memorable experience.
Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru were also beautiful destinations, and the accommodations throughout the trip were simple, comfortable, and convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Jocky Tours.

Unforgettable experience with Josh Dreamland Safari
We traveled as a family with two children, aged 11 and 15. The safari with Josh Dreamland was incredible from the very first moment.
