Julius at Jockey Tours was amazing. He is an incredibly experienced guide - he knew the optimal timing to avoid the rush and knew the best places to seek relaxed, intimate animal encounters away from the crowds of other safari vehicles. When you take the road less taken, you see marvels they others don’t - we saw a baby zebra, still wobbly after being born within the past 15 minutes! We definitely appreciated how the Jockey safari guides worked as a team covering different areas of the park, and would communicate with each other where to find hard to find sightings, like cheetah. Julius was charming, full of stories and interesting behavioral insights to share about myriad of wildlife along the way. The 4-day safari of Maasai Mara never had a dull moment. It was a great value. Yes, the accommodations at Lenchada camp were budget but the beds were pristine, and where else will you have a story about a baboon in your tent?
