We had the most incredible 4-day safari in Tanzania with Travel Africa. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the experience far exceeded our expectations.
We visited Tarangire National Park, the breathtaking Serengeti, and the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. Each park was unique and full of wildlife — elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and even a rare glimpse of a leopard. Every day brought a new adventure and unforgettable landscapes.
Our guide and driver, Mtinangui, was truly exceptional. He was knowledgeable, professional, and kind, with a great sense of humor. He had an amazing eye for spotting animals from far away and always made sure we had the best views without disturbing the wildlife. We felt completely safe and taken care of throughout the entire journey.
The accommodations, we chose the best accommodation package, were also excellent — comfortable, clean, and always in beautiful locations.
This safari was a dream come true, and we can’t recommend Travel Africa and Mtinangui enough. Thank you for an experience we will cherish forever!

The amazing:
Big Apes and our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Tim used his expertise along with his friend and guide network to get my family and me in front of everything we dreamt of seeing. We saw tree climbing lions, a leopard, a family of mountain gorillas, giant bull elephants, giraffes, the famed shoebill and so much more. Our expectations were exponentially exceeded here. Tim worked tirelessly to ensure our experience was seamless. Tim is a fantastic guide and wonderful person.
Peter at Big Apes was also great to work with. He modified our itinerary on the fly to adjust to our needs. The lodges selected for us were earthy and beautiful and the staff in all of them was incredibly gracious and friendly. The food was basic but plentiful.
Kudos to the Big Apes team for giving us a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you all.
The not so good:
Prospective clients need to know that this is an arduous journey. Uganda’s roads are quite primitive on this 10-day circuit. And the travel times are significant. We spent 7-9 hours per day (safari time inclusive) in an old Land Cruiser that’s a super cool truck for an afternoon jaunt. But harsh for the literally thousands of speed bumps, potholes and ~80 some odd hours in it throughout this 10-day journey.
Overall, we really enjoyed the trip. I don’t provide the ‘not so good’ to be negative but to be honest and constructive. I think a faster, more comfortable vehicle, with charging ports could have improved this trip remarkably."

Brilliant Botswana and Victoria Falls safari. Perfectly organised from start to finish by Adelle.
Contacted Discover Africa when considering possible Botswana holiday based on Safari Bookings reviews. Was not disappointed as Adelle took our initial ideas and created a perfect trip starting at Victoria Falls and then encompassing three lodges across Botswana, ending in the amazing Okavango Delta. The communication when putting together the trip was excellent and the information provided gave every detail needed to make it a smooth and stress free holiday, especially important with all the transfers required. The accommodation in all the lodges was first class and the staff everywhere were so friendly and helpful.
Of course the wildlife experiences were the highlight with Botswana providing such an amazing variation of water and land habitats. These included close up experiences of leopards, a pride of fifteen lions, elephants swimming across the Zambezi, and large groups of hippos.
