Top notch safari, couldn't be better
David Mukami was our guide and he did an outstanding job. He's a 12 year veteran and knows the Masai Mara like the back of his hand. He has great skill in finding the animals and getting us in position for photos. In 24 hours we'd seen the big 5 and many others over the 3 days.
Jabo Mara Lodge is clean comfortable with friendly staff. Food was very good. Separate cabin was excellent. We did a solo safari which was well worth the extra cost.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience — couldn’t recommend more highly
We booked this safari at very short notice, and from the very first message Elizabeth was incredibly fast, reliable and helpful — tailoring everything to our needs without missing a beat. That kind of responsiveness when you’re booking last-minute makes all the difference, and it set the tone for everything that followed.
Our guide Peter was simply a star. Knowledgeable, kind, attentive and genuinely excited about every single animal we encountered — his enthusiasm was completely contagious. He took us to all the right spots, always went the extra mile, and made us feel looked after throughout. We couldn’t have asked for better company across four days in the bush.
The lodges were beautifully chosen and each one was an experience in itself — from a luxury tent with an outdoor shower right in the bush, to a lodge near a Maasai village where we had dinner hosted outdoors under the stars. All were spotlessly clean with excellent food, and the picnic lunches at the park’s scenic spots were a highlight we didn’t expect.
Across three national parks we saw incredible wildlife up close — including all of the Big Five. The variety and proximity of the animals genuinely took our breath away.
For anyone hesitant about booking a safari — we understand the feeling, it can seem daunting — we can say with full confidence: this is a trustworthy, reliable and wonderfully organised operation. We were a couple travelling together and felt completely at ease from start to finish. We just leaned back and enjoyed every moment.

I had an amazing experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris from beginning to end. Everything was very well organized, starting with my first contacts with Jacklyne, who was always helpful, friendly, and professional. The hotel pick-up and the entire journey to Maasai Mara went smoothly, and it was clear that the company pays attention to every detail.
The accommodation provided was excellent — comfortable, well located, and a perfect place to relax after a full day of safari. The meals were also very good and contributed to an overall great experience.
However, I would like to give a very special mention to our guide and driver, Simba. He truly made the safari unforgettable. Besides being an excellent and very skilled driver, Simba was extremely friendly, patient, and always willing to answer our questions and share his knowledge.
His knowledge of Maasai Mara and its wildlife was impressive. He has an incredible eye for spotting animals from very long distances, often noticing wildlife that we would never have seen on our own. His experience, enthusiasm, and understanding of animal behavior made every game drive exciting and educational.
Having someone like Simba is incredibly valuable for a safari company. The landscapes and wildlife of Maasai Mara are already extraordinary, but the right guide can completely transform the experience. A knowledgeable, patient, and passionate professional like Simba turns a great safari into a truly memorable one.

An Unforgettable Private Safari Experience in Tanzania
We had an amazing 5-day private safari with Serengeti Smile, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
From the beginning, everything was well organized and professionally arranged. Our guide, Joshua, was one of the biggest reasons our safari was so memorable. He was professional, friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about Tanzania’s wildlife and nature. He always tried his best to find the animals we wanted to see and explained their behavior and the ecosystem in detail.
During our safari, we visited Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater and were lucky enough to see the Big Five as well as many other animals. Every day offered something different, and the game drives were truly unforgettable.
We especially appreciated Joshua’s safe driving, excellent wildlife spotting skills, and flexibility throughout the trip. We never felt rushed, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the experience.
The communication and organization from Serengeti Smile were also excellent from the planning stage until the end of our safari.

Reliable, great communication, passionate and tireless driver/guide
I chose Axis safari because I saw so many reviews and good words about them. I can confirm everything. From the very beginning they were polite and no pushing me to decide. I found with them a good mix of accommodation and a good price. We did 6 days safari/5 nights: 2 days masai mara, 1 day lake nakuru and 2 in amboseli. We can achieve all the goals: lions, lioness and cubs, rhyno, cheetah and leopard, giraffe, zebras and so many others. Khalifa, our driver, was so tireless. He tried to find every animals we would love to see going everywhere and knowing every corner of the national parks.
The accommodation were amazing and also our adventure friends.
