9-days Safari in Uganda
Our guide and driver, Julius, gave us an outstanding experience in Uganda, doing everything possible to maximize our chances of seeing wildlife and making each moment of the journey worthwhile. We had nine days, supposedly during the wet season, and set out to see as much wildlife as possible in its natural environment. Remarkably, the rain always seemed to fall when we were indoors or safely in the van, as if perfectly timed for our itinerary. The animals were far from shy—apart from the elusive leopard—and we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the wild, bringing home unforgettable memories and stunning photographs.
Despite unexpected challenges with our vehicles—both suffering engine failures—Julius remained calm, resourceful, and fully committed to our safety and schedule. He handled every situation with professionalism and determination, ensuring that our trip continued as smoothly as possible. We had a great time with fantastic excursions, all perfectly organized, and we are truly grateful for Julius’s dedication and care throughout this incredible adventure.

From the day I reached out communication was clear, prompt, and upfront. I had an idea in mind of what we wanted to do, but it involved multiple countries, some “off the beaten track areas”, and our time was very limited. Beatus figured out exactly how to fit everything in in the time we had available. In 16 days we were able to spend 6 day safari in Tanzania, a 3/4 day beach holiday in Zanzibar, as well as 6 days in Uganda trekking with the chimpanzees and mountain gorillas. Everything was perfect. The lodges that were suggested were great, and our guides Dominic in Tanzania and Ismail & Geoffrey in Uganda were all and super accommodating. I wouldn’t choose anyone else and I’ve already suggested Passionate Guides to anyone I know interested in visiting East Africa.

My wife and I had been talking about going on a safari in Tanzania for years. When we finally had time during Easter, we thought: why not? Rainy season or not – let’s go!
We booked with Nowtaz Tours (Nortaz Safari), and honestly, it was one of the best travel decisions we’ve ever made (and we’ve made quite a few over 32 years of marriage 😉).
We originally asked for their “Eternal Love Honeymoon Safari” since we skipped our honeymoon back in the day – so this became our 32-year delayed honeymoon 😄
Paul was quick to respond, super helpful, and very easy to deal with. Everything was sorted out fast, and we felt taken care of from the very beginning. He even showed up at our hotel in Arusha to welcome us – and again at the end to check how it all went. That’s what I call service!
Our guide was amazing – great driver, incredibly knowledgeable, and had a surprisingly good understanding of Danish humor (which is not always easy 😅). Even in areas with tall grass, he somehow managed to find animals everywhere.
We saw a lot of wildlife – including the Big Five in Serengeti! The wildebeest and zebra migration was just insane – thousands of animals moving together. And seeing not just one, but six rhinos in Ngorongoro? That felt like hitting the safari jackpot.
As for the “rainy season”… well, it rained for about 30 minutes the evening we arrived. That’s it. The rest of the time: sunshine. So much for worrying about the weather!
Yes, some of the roads were a bit bumpy – but that just adds to the adventure (and maybe helps justify an extra drink at the lodge later 😉).
Speaking of lodges: they were fantastic. Way better than expected.
All in all, an unforgettable trip with a great company. We can highly recommend Nowtaz Tours – and we might not wait another 32 years before going again!

5 stars+++! What an amazing trip Lex from Arusha Trips put together for us. It couldn't have been better. Top-notch! The locations were superb, from tents to luxury lodges. First, four days in the Serengeti with our guide Leonce. Lex had specifically requested driver Leonce for us because we were traveling with our two sons who are students. We clicked immediately, and with it, the great atmosphere. Leonce took us to special spots for lunch right in the middle of nature. He made sure we saw a yacht and, among other things, six leopards. Thanks Leonce! You're a star! Afterwards, on Lex's recommendation, we traveled to Mafia Island to go diving. Indescribably beautiful. A bullseye. We also swam with 15-meter-long whale sharks. Lex, thank you for this unforgettable family trip; you truly create a tailor-made journey. I recommend your travel agency to all my friends and family. And by the way, to you who are reading my review as well.

Uzuri Uganda Safaris our right choice, wonderful time in Uganda.
My family had an amazing time in Uganda with Uzuri Uganda Safaris, 4-day Murchison Falls safari it was our fantastic experience.
From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless and enjoyable. The stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary was a fantastic way to begin, giving us a chance to see rhinos up close.
Our 2nd day game drive was filled with incredible wildlife sightings, and the boat safari was a peaceful, and a very exciting journey along the Nile toward the falls. The return to Entebbe on the final day was smooth and gave us time to reflect on the incredible memories we had made. Uzuri maintenance team was very punctual and always careful with us.
