Beyond Extraordinary!!
5/5

There really isn’t enough I can say to describe the kindness, care and intelligence Maereg and his company gift to visitors in Ethiopia. I have been with them three times there now, and every day blows my mind – in all the best ways.

Not only do the staff and drivers know everything you may be interested in about their country, they are devoted to their communities and business. They solve problems, refine itineraries, search for fuel, and protect your safety above all else.

My visit to Lalibela was the climax of my trips to Ethiopia. The Orthodox Church there is profoundly supported everywhere, and guides so many people to generosity and inclusion, it is truly extraordinary. I am not a religious person myself, and it takes a leap of faith to believe the rock churches were built in just 20 years (I’m sure one day this will be re-examined, but faithful people there cling to the legend and would prefer to not see such evidence), but being in those awesome places with a guide who really understands and believes in their importance and meaning made the trip worthwhile.

Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours has its own 4X4 vehicle now, and they are moving forward with business plans despite the war that is crippling tourism everywhere. If you know Maereg, or his brother Abayu (the ‘Mayor of Addis’), then you also know their friends and circles. This is probably one of their greatest strengths. When I visit, I feel like a brother, a partner, a respected visitor and an honored guest. With inside access to unexpected and awesome experiences daily.

Travelling in Ethiopia is never easy; it is one of the most challenging countries I have visited. It requires patience, attention, willpower and physical ability. Having said that, even at 62 I manage somehow because Mareg, Abauy and their associates guide my body and spirit. I have learned so much from them, I know we will be brothers forever.

I recommend them without reservation. You can not find a better tour agent than Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours!

Arnold was a very welcoming, cheerful man, but above all a guiding light of knowledge.
5/5

We were picked up right on time by Arnold at our campsite. From the very beginning, he asked if there was anything we wanted to know in advance and what we were hoping to see during the safari tour. He also made it very clear that we should feel free to ask any questions at any time, so he could explain exactly the things that interested us most.

There were four of us, so it truly felt like a private tour. Arnold was incredibly knowledgeable and told us everything about the plants we encountered, the scents we noticed, the animals we saw, and even about the effects of the flooding on the trees that were standing underwater. All of it was absolutely fascinating.

On top of that, he really went above and beyond and put so much effort into helping us see the things we hoped to see. Of course, nature has a will of its own and there is only so much influence a guide can have, but the effort Arnold made for us was truly exceptional.

He also shared an incredible amount of insight into animal behavior, especially elephants — how to recognize certain behaviors, what they mean, and how their lives unfold. It was genuinely inspiring to hear him speak with such passion about nature and wildlife.

He gave us an experience and with that memories that will stay with us forever!

A safe and amazing experience
5/5

The tour operator made every effort to make me feel safe as a solo female traveler. The local guide was brilliant and the experience was as calm and tranquil as I had hoped. Just be prepared for some serious pot holes on the road to the water.

The safari experience is an amazing way to connect with nature and Africa.
5/5

My safari tour was unforgettable. The guides were knowledgeable, whether it was about the animals or the tribes I wanted to visit. They are friendly and feel like family. They made sure I saw wildlife up close, including lions, giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, baboons, cheetahs, monkeys, zebras, buffaloes, Rhinos, serval cats, various bird species, and many more animals.
I also had a chance to watch the sunset in the wild. I’m glad I chose them, and it is an unforgettable moment of a lifetime for me.

Reactive, friendly and easy going company with experienced guide
5/5

We chose the company because of the value for money and good reviews. We were not disappointed : the guide was kind and experienced and we had a photographer with us which is valuable as a honey moon trip. After a lot of time spent doing reviews of the companies, I definitely recommend them !

Wonderful
5/5

We went on a 6-7 day safari in Tanzania (Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro) with See Adventure, and it was wonderful.
Our driver and guide, Kindu, is an expert with eagle eyes. He spots animals from hundreds of meters away, even in the tall grass. His explanations about the behavior of the different types of animals are also fascinating. We were also lucky enough to have Tom, a very good photographer from the company, who allowed us to capture this pre-wedding trip.
We saw the Big Five, but also giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, monkeys, a sea of wildebeest… and breathtaking landscapes.
The organization was flawless, from airport pickup and hotel bookings (all very good quality) to all meals. I highly recommend See Adventure, and especially Kindu and Tom.
Thank you again.

An amazing 12-Day trip with Abantubo Safaris in Uganda!
5/5

From the very beginning, the communication was excellent. Nickson was always quick to respond and very helpful throughout the planning process. Even until the very last moment — and during the trip itself — the team did everything possible to make the experience even better. For example, with last-minute accommodation changes and my driver even arranged an impromptu game drive after hearing news about a leopard family sighting, which turned into a truly unforgettable experience.

So a special thank you to my guide and driver, Allanie, who was incredibly knowledgeable and had an amazing eye for spotting wildlife. Thanks to him, I saw so many animals and learned a lot along the way.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip and a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!
