What an Incredible Safari
Everything exceeded my expectations, from the food and accommodation to the tour guide! There was almost no moment when I felt uncomfortable. Our tour guide, Peter, has exceptional driving skills and a wealth of knowledge about all the parks that we went to (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro). We saw all the animals we had told Peter about, including others we had not even anticipated, and it was truly epic. I almost forgot to mention the visit to the Maasai people who have a very rich culture and the balloon ride over the Serengeti. Amazing safari experience!
I had an amazing 11-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania with Colours Africa Tours. The itinerary was perfect – we got to see so many different parks, each with its own feel: flamingos and rhinos at Lake Nakuru, big cats in the Masai Mara, the wildebeest river crossing in the Serengeti, elephants in Tarangire, and incredible views of Kilimanjaro in Amboseli. Every day brought something new.
Our guides, Felix and Derick, made the trip unforgettable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely fun to travel with. They had an incredible eye for spotting animals and always seemed to know exactly where to go for the best sightings. I really appreciated how much effort they put into making sure we were comfortable and having a great time.
The lodges and camps were all well chosen – comfortable, welcoming, and right in the middle of nature. Falling asleep to the sounds of the bush and waking up with animals outside was surreal.
This trip was a dream come true and I’d recommend Colours Africa Tours, and especially Felix and Derick, to anyone thinking of doing a safari.

The whole experience with Leopard Orchid Safari’s from beginning to end has been fantastic. From my first call with Michael he gave me confidence he would plan a trip tailored to our interests and budget. Michael was then very helpful and responsive in the run up to our trip, answering questions and organising trains for us and it was evident he wanted to make the safari experience the best possible for us. We then had a lovely welcome at the start of the safari and introduction to Patrick our guide for eight days. Patrick was amazing in how he looked after us from the beginning to the end of the safari. We felt in safe hands and cared for and learned a huge amount about the amazing wildlife we saw as well as learning more about Kenya. He was determined to make our trip memorable and had genuine excitement about spotting animals and making our own discoveries in lesser frequented parts of the parks.
