Chalo Africa - Truly Above and Beyond
Planning this once-in-a-lifetime, multi-generational trip felt overwhelming at first but, Chalo Africa put me totally at ease and walked me through everything with patience and enthusiasm. Being a planner and a perfectionist, my standards for a tour operator were pretty high, and Chalo Africa not only met them but went above and beyond.
From the very first conversation with Sangeetha, it was clear we weren't just booking a holiday package. She took the time to genuinely understand what we were hoping for - the wildlife we dreamed of seeing, the pace we wanted, and the kind of experiences that would make this trip truly meaningful. The itinerary she crafted was seamless. From the moment we landed in Nairobi to our final sunrise in the Maasai Mara, every transfer, accommodation, and game drive was perfectly timed and beautifully chosen.
On the ground, everything ran like clockwork. The ground team handled all daily logistics in a thoroughly professional manner, and Malvika checked in with us regularly throughout the trip. Our driver and guide Ben was phenomenal - endlessly knowledgeable, and somehow always in exactly the right place at the right time. Accommodations were thoughtfully curated - each camp and lodge felt authentic to its setting, with staff who treated us like family. It was clear that Chalo Africa had built genuine, long-standing relationships with these properties over the years.
We came home with thousands of photos and even more stories. Kenya is magical - but having the right people behind your trip makes all the difference. We're already talking about returning to Africa, and there's only one operator we'd trust to plan it.

Above and beyond every step of the way!!!
I had an incredible experience with African Chitah and can’t recommend them enough. Midian did an outstanding job planning and managing every detail of the trip, and his support throughout made the entire journey smooth and stress-free. He was also a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
What truly stood out was his responsiveness and dedication when unexpected situations came up. When one of our travelers accidentally left an iPad behind at a hotel in the Western Serengeti—the furthest point of our trip—Midian immediately took charge, coordinating with the hotel and arranging for it to be flown back to Arusha in time for us to retrieve it before our departure that same evening. That level of care and follow-through is rare and deeply appreciated.
He also quickly resolved an issue we had with one of the accommodations, handling it efficiently and without any disruption to our trip.
Our guides, Jackson and Papa, were fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly skilled. Jackson’s ability to spot animals was especially impressive and made every game drive exciting.
Overall, this was a seamless, memorable experience thanks to Midian and his team. I would absolutely travel with African Chitah again and would have no hesitation recommending him to family and friends.

Enjoyable safari, but there was a clear gap between promises and reality.
Overall, we had a great safari experience and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We had some incredible wildlife sightings, the lodges were excellent, and our guide, Denis, was knowledgeable and made sure we had a memorable time. However, there were a few very noticeable issues that did not match the expectations set during the booking process.
1. Airport transfer vehicle: The vehicle provided for the airport-to-hotel transfer was far below the standard expected. It was a small car with very limited space for passengers and luggage.
2. Safari vehicle: The safari vehicle provided was completely different from what was shown during the booking process. The advertised Land Cruiser had proper seat covers, a dedicated fridge, charging ports, and much better interiors. Since we spent most of our safari inside the vehicle, this was not a minor difference—it had a significant impact on our overall experience. If a different vehicle is going to be provided, it should be communicated honestly instead of showing a better one during booking.
3. Guide experience: Denis was a good guide and did his job well. However, we were specifically promised a guide with over 10 years of experience, and that commitment was not fulfilled.
4. Itinerary: The itinerary seemed unnecessarily rushed just to make the package look more attractive. Early morning game drives were scheduled in both Amboseli and Lake Nakuru, but we deliberately skipped both because they would have left us exhausted with virtually no time to rest. We would have preferred a more realistic and balanced itinerary rather than one packed with activities that we ultimately had to skip.
5. Lunch on the return journey: The lunch stop on the way back to Nairobi was simply pathetic and nowhere near the standard of the rest of the trip. It was a disappointing way to end an otherwise enjoyable safari.

This man has the characteristics required not only to be a safari guide but a role model on humanity.
We have been left in awe of Africa and made unforgettable memories. All credit is due to the knowledge, patience and receptiveness of this individual.
His ability to spot animals and name endless species is incredible. Thank you John for spotting the Faru all the way in the distance with only his naked eye allowing us to tick off the final animal of the big 5 in the final hour on a windy day at Ngogogro Crater National Park.

Well organized
I booked a day tour to Akagera National Park with Wild Journeys and honestly it was an amazing experience from start to finish.
Our guide Mico was professional, knowledgeable and really friendly. He was patient and had a great eye for spotting wildlife, which made the whole trip even better. I managed to see 4 out of the Big Five in just one day (lucky me!).
I’d definitely recommend Wild Journeys if you’re visiting Rwanda and want a well-organized safari experience.

Exceeds expectations!
The entire South Africa vacation exceeded all my expectations. Etienne and Dalia are amazingly knowledgeable, understanding and professional. The tour was created for me with help and suggestions from them both and they were spot on! They handled all flights, excursions and lodging arrangements. Not to mention passport and visa requirements.
The lodging is fantastic! Nkhoro in Sabi Sands and Jackalberry in Chobe are impressive. The rooms, staff and food are great and I will return to both on my next Africa adventure. . The safaris in both locations are incredible.
I highly recommend Wayfarer and have already planned my European vacation with them!

Outstanding Early Morning Safari in Nairobi National Park
I had an excellent one-day early morning safari with Lensai Safari in Nairobi National Park. Everything was very well organized, and my guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and determined to give us the best wildlife experience possible.
The game drive ticked all the boxes. We managed to see nearly all the animals I had hoped for, including black rhinos, ostriches, giraffes, zebras, and many other species. The highlight of the morning was witnessing a lion with a gazelle up in a tree. a very rare and special sight that made the experience unforgettable.
Our guide had an excellent eye for spotting wildlife and always positioned the vehicle perfectly for viewing and photos.
I can highly recommend Lensai Safari to anyone visiting Nairobi who has limited time but still wants to experience Kenya’s incredible wildlife. Seeing so many animals, especially the endangered black rhinos, within a few hours was simply amazing.
