An excellent safari operator for all budgets
After doing some research online I decided to book a budget 4 day 3 night Safari with Axis Africa Safaris. I had limited time in Kenya and wanted to see as much wildlife as possible. Highlights included two game drives in Masai Mara and visits to Lake Navaisha and Lake Nakuru National Park. The company was responsive with any questions I had prior to my arrival in Kenya. John Mwangi was our guide throughout the trip. John was a wonderful guide on our game drives. His driving skills and knowledge of the parks ensured we saw as much wildlife as possible during our time there. John continually kept the group informed of the day’s activities and he made sure everyone had a great time. I would not hesitate to recommend Axis and John as a guide to anyone looking for a safari while in Kenya.

From the original contact to planning out the accommodations and figuring out which parks to visit, Jacob, John, and the team were amazing at making sure that the Safari we had was unique to us and enjoyable. We saw so many extraordinary sights that it was easy to expect them every time.
The details and the handling of the trip made me wish that all my travel could be as seamless! While you might not know much about them before you go, by the time you leave, you have a new friend. It’s so enjoyable traveling with these great guides.
I have used African wildcats expeditions for my last five safaris. Every one of them has been amazing. Don’t overlook this smaller company, there’s a lot of great value for your money here.

I have booked multiple trips through African Skimmer Safaris over several years. The company always provides knowledgeable guides who are friendly and professional throughout the trip. The guides are always on-time, if not early, and eager to get to know the group. The vehicles are well maintained with cold water always available. During the game drives, guides share an abundance of details about any animal we come across, from the smallest birds to the larger animals. They offer outstanding trips at a reasonable price point, whether it is a day trip from Nairobi or a longer multi-day / multi-park trip.
On my most recent trip, we did a multi-day safari, starting at the Kenya-Tanzania border and visiting Amboseli National Park and Tsavo West National Park. When arranging this trip, African Skimmer Safaris was very flexible in dealing with our dynamic travel plans. I could not have asked for a better company to work with. They effortlessly coordinated our transfer from our hotel in Tanzania to the guide at the border. Our guide was early to our pick up point on Day 1, giving a smooth start to the trip. From there we had a wonderful afternoon game drive in Amboseli, followed by a full day in the park including a picnic lunch with an amazing view. The next day we moved on to Tsavo West for another couple fantastic drives. We arrived back in Nairobi on time with no problems.

Great experience with a knowledgeable, friendly and interesting guide
I did the 6-day budget safari with Jocky, visiting Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Ambroseli. Our driver and guide, Brian Ondigo, was clearly experienced with the parks as well as the driving conditions inside the parks. He was friendly and funny, and took the time to help us see a wide variety of wildlife during the safari. We were even able to see a lion hunting. I also appreciate that he shared bits of information about the parks and the wildlife throughout our time with him. I would definitely enjoy another safari with Brian in the future.
Accomodations were as expected, comparable to a 2 star hotel. It's worth noting that the driving time on the 6-day safari is extensive. Depending on your preferences you may want to skip Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha to save 8+ hours of driving.
Our guide Tom was professional and very friendly.
Amazing experience, we witnessed incredible amounts of wildlife and the service was very good.

An unforgettable honeymoon safari – thanks to Colours' professionalism and heart
My friend visited Tanzania for a safari this February and had an amazing experience. She highly recommended Colours Africa Tours and Safaris to us, so we chose them for our honeymoon as well.
Hatibu Yasini, our Journey Organizer, was exceptionally dedicated and responsible. Despite the time difference with China, he always responded promptly and resolved every issue we had with great reliability and care.
Mr. GoodLuck was our guide – highly experienced, knowledgeable, and humorous. On our very first day, we spotted four of the Big Five, and he also took us to a private sighting of a leopard. We even witnessed the spectacular Great Migration river crossing. He took care of us like an elder brother, with genuine warmth and humility.
Tom, our photographer for the entire trip, was a shy but incredibly hardworking young man. He did an excellent job, and we have already received the selected photos – they are so stunning that we plan to print them and frame them at home. The wildlife truly has an irresistible charm.
This was our first safari in Tanzania and our first visit to Africa. We feel so fortunate to have met Colours and all their staff. Every accommodation and activity was perfectly arranged. It was an unforgettable honeymoon, and choosing Colours was absolutely the right decision.
