The most wonderful trip to Madagascar, everything went smoothly and our guides were excellent.
The most wonderful trip to Madagascar, everything went smoothly and our guides were excellent. My daughter and I went on a 2 week trip to Madagascar, mainly to see lemurs. From the moment we contacted Soul of Madagascar Theresia was very responsive and helpful. She tailored our tour based on what places and animals we wanted to see. All the hotels were lovely and the guides and drivers all went above and beyond to make it a special and memorable trip. We flew to Tana and drove east to Andasibe and walked through the forest to spot lemurs and chameleons and birds, over a few days. We then flew to Morondava for two days to see Kirindy Forest and the baobab trees which were magical. Finally we flew to Nosy Be for a few days of island hopping to see more lemurs and amazing beaches and lots of snorkelling with turtles. Delicious fish lunches were provided and the hotel on Nosy Be was beautiful. We felt the tour was great value for money. Bring extra money for souvenirs (beautiful baskets and embroidered cloths to buy) and tipping (we ended up having many different guides and drivers and local guides who were all fantastic and so we were happy to tip them all). Theresia advised us to always have a day between flights which turned out to be great advice - the internal flights did get rescheduled quite a bit (by an hour forwards then two hours back for example) and one flight got cancelled and we were moved to a different flight a few hours later, which was fine but would have been risky if we were catching another flight that day. During the tour Theresia and our guides were always happy to help us with checking flight details etc if needed. Overall Madagascar defo exceeded our expectations, we saw so much wildlife and got so close to the animals which was amazing. Our expert guides were Tahiry and his driver Aina, (East Madagascar), Celestin and Sedera in Morondava, Brilin and Idealy back in Tana, Eddy and Doris in Nosy Be and finally we were reunited with Tahiry at the end of our trip. I booked a two-day trip to Awash Park for two people. The contact prior to the tour was great -I got prompt answers to all my questions. Payment was made after we were picked up from our hotel.
Our guide was Eshetu, who took exceptional care of our comfort and safety throughout the entire journey. He shared fascinating insights about the country and was genuinely engaged the whole time. Our driver was very confident behind the wheel, making us feel completely safe despite the different local driving culture.
The safari itself was a huge success. Thanks to the dedication of the staff, we managed to see every single animal mentioned in the offer- even the rare ones. We spent the night in a fantastic hotel as well.
This entire trip is highly recommended, and the service was truly top-notch!

I would like to give a big thank you to Axis travel company, and especially to our driver, Peter Kapino, for an amazing 4 days on safari. Together, we explored Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Peter was incredibly professional, friendly, and punctual throughout the trip, and we felt completely safe driving with him at all times. He has a very pleasant tone of voice, and his stories about the wildlife were effortless yet deeply enriching. Thanks to his keen eye and extensive knowledge, we got to witness so many wonderful moments in nature.

Excellent service and nice people
We went from Zanzibar to Mikumi to go on safari. The communication was great when we booked, and through the trip. On the day of the safari the guide went out of his way to give us the beste experience ever. He had a lot of information and knowledge that answered all of our questions even before we thought of them. This is one of the best experiences we have gotten.
The camp we stayed at was so nice, and the people working here is too.
