Unforgettable 5 days in Uganda – a huge thank you to Bosco!
We did the 5-day tour starting in Kigali and ending in Entebbe, including gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking and Queen Elizabeth National Park – and it was an amazing experience from start to finish!
Even before the trip, communication with Safari Vacations and Travel Services was excellent. All our questions were answered quickly and in detail, we received all the important information in good time, and everything ran smoothly once we were there.
A very special thank you goes to our guide Bosco! He took great care of us the whole time, always drove very safely, and did everything he could to make things possible and accommodate our extra wishes. We also had really great conversations with him along the way, which made the trip even more special for us.
Everything else was just as good: the food was delicious, the lodges were great, and the experiences themselves – the gorillas, the chimpanzees and the safari in the national park – were so much fun.

Amazing safari experience
We’ve just come back from a wonderful 9 days in Kenya. Diana was incredibly helpful through the organisation phase, not only planning us a fantastic 5 day safari covering 3 different Kenyan parks but also organising a Mt Kenya Hike for us beforehand and joining the two phases of holiday up seamlessly with the different guides.
Our guide for the safari was Derrick, who had exceptional knowledge about the local areas and all of the wildlife, and whom we really enjoyed sharing the experience with thanks to his great company, humour and insights.
All in all we had an absolutely fantastic trip and can’t recommend Shanjoy highly enough! Thank you!

Deep expertise and commitment to the highest standards gave us a brilliant first-time safari
We recently returned home from our first safari, which we had dreamed about for years. It was truly phenomenal from our arrival in South Africa, where we were met and escorted through Immigration, to departure from our final Botswana camp via helicopter. We and the friends with whom we shared the trip are good travelers, but it was Rose who made it brilliant. To quote the company website, “Rose and her dedicated team plan seamless holidays for discerning clients wanting something out of this world.” They delivered. Our trip involved four destinations, which Rose recommended after talking with the four of us to understand our wishes and requirements. Everything was meticulously arranged with her partners on the ground so we could just show up and enjoy the experience.
And what an experience it was! The properties were luxurious and welcoming, especially the gorgeous Atzaro Okavanga Camp, with exceptional people providing stellar service. We saw all the animals most people associate with Africa, closer than any of us expected thanks to our very experienced and intrepid guides, and the beauty of the landscape and sky opened up before us every day. We credit Rose for selecting the properties and people that made this such a joyful adventure.

We could enjoy the two best places of Uganda in one trip that is Bunyonyi Lake and Gorilla trekking
I booked the gorilla trekking trip with the Engagi Safaris based on their reviews. Of course I was getting cheaper rates from few operators but their reviews were not good. Jesca continuously pursued me for about six months as I canceled my tickets for June due to Ebola and finally decided to go for it in October on her persuasion.
Another reason to book with the Engagi Safaris was that one can enjoy two places in one trip thus it is time saving and economical too. For me it was a good plan as they dropped me to Kigali from Bunyonyi so we saved money and the time as well.
Their services were also beyond our expectations. The vehicle was new, and Dickson, our guide cum driver was full of energy. He told us so many things about Kampala, Bunyonyi and Bwindi. The first stop was at the Equator. He took so many photos for us and also stopped the vehicle on way to Bunyonyi to take photos. Bunyonyi is an amazing place, a big lake with 29 islands.
Our stay was at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resorts having all modern comforts but away from the hustle bustle of the city life. Its a beautiful place with over 20 rooms, restaurant and facilities for boating, tubing and cycling. The rooms were good, big with comfortable bed and balcony to enjoy evening or morning drinks. We took a boat trip in the evening and the feelings mental peace of being with nature cannot be expressed in words.
The gorilla trekking was also a life time experience. We were lucky to get the nearest gorilla family alloted to us at the request of Dickson. We were with the Gorillas just in one hour and could get so many poses and activities to make unforgettable videos and photos. The weather also favoured us, bright sun, no rains.
Hence I can say with confidence and recommend the Engagi Safaris as a reliable company for booking the Safaris with them. For me it was quite economical too due to reasons mentioned above.
