perfect safari experience
The support and organisation were fantastic. All our questions were always answered, Laura was always there to help us, and the trip went exactly as we’d imagined.
The choice of hotels was also good; the food was excellent at all the accommodation, and the staff were very friendly.
What really stood out, however, was the Zebra Plain, which was truly outstanding accommodation where no detail was overlooked. And the people there were even more welcoming than at the other camps.
Finally, a few words about Bonnie, our guide. He made our trip something truly special. He was always friendly, courteous and always had a smile on his face. His warm and caring nature made the Spirit of Kenya experience perfect.
He loves what he does; he loves working for Spirit of Kenya, and as a guest, you notice that from the very first moment. If only there were more guides like Bonnie: the national parks would be an even better place, because he always treated nature with respect. And he always shared his seemingly endless knowledge with us. Simply perfect.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Spirit of Kenya, especially Laura and Bonnie.

Amazing Kilimanjaro climb and safari – highly recommend Sote Tours and Travel
We travelled with Sote Tours and Travel for a 7 day Machame Route climb on Kilimanjaro, followed by a 6 day safari visiting Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. We were a group of four, and honestly, the whole experience was much better than we expected.
Communication with Sote Tours was very good. When we first contacted them for a quote, Mr. Kelvin Nyanja was very quick to respond and answered all our questions. And we had a LOT of questions before the trip! He was patient, professional and gave us useful advice, including on a few things that were different from what we had originally planned. In the end, we were very happy that we listened to his recommendations.
The Kilimanjaro part was really special. The mountain team were fantastic and we always felt well looked after. The guides were experienced, professional and encouraging, but also friendly and easy to talk to.
Our crew leader Seba was amazing. Oscar, our chef, also deserves a big mention. We honestly don't know how he managed to cook such good food every day on the mountain! 😂 After a long day of walking, sitting down to a proper meal was something we really looked forward to.
Fadhir, Mohamed, Allan, Daniel and Jackson were also brilliant. They worked so hard and were always ready to help, usually with a smile. There was always someone around when we needed something, and the morning encouragement was especially appreciated on the days when getting out of the tent was not easy!
Summit night was obviously the biggest challenge and the highlight of the climb. It was long, cold and tiring, but we always felt safe. The guides kept checking on us and the pace was well managed. Their encouragement really helped us keep going when we were struggling.
Then came the safari, which was another great part of the trip.
We spent 6 days visiting four parks and stayed in four different hotels. Everything was well organised and the accommodations were very nice, including the food.
Our guide Reuben was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in making sure we enjoyed the safari. Every evening we would talk about the plan for the following day, and he was flexible when we wanted to change something or spend more time in a particular area.
He clearly knows the parks very well and has a good eye for wildlife. A few times he managed to get us into a great position for viewing animals while other vehicles were further away. He was also happy to help us when shopping in local markets and even helped us negotiate better prices!
One thing worth mentioning is that we actually booked Sote Tours because a friend recommended them to us after travelling with them in 2023. We were a little nervous about choosing a company we hadn't personally used before, but after doing the trip ourselves, we are very happy with the decision. We would definitely recommend Sote Tours and Travel to anyone planning Kilimanjaro and safari in Tanzania. We had a great experience and would happily travel with them again or recommend them to our friends.

Incredible experience in Masai Mara with Raymond!
We left from Nairobi for 3 days in the Masai Mara with our guide Raymond. It was an amazing experience, Raymond was kind, very professional and he knows exactly where to find the animals. We had the chance to see the big five during the trip thanks to Raymond!
Thank you so much Raymond and if we plan another trip in Kenya we will definitely choose Axis Africa Expedition and especially Raymond!

Wonderful honeymoon-safari with Safari Soles and brilliant guide Dickson
On August 2026 we had a wonderful honeymoon safari with Safari Soles and our guide Dickson. The safari was a private tour of 11 days, most time in the Serengeti in different camps. The organisation of the tour was perfect, our car was excellent and Dickson, our guide, was brilliant. We had fantastic sightings and Dickson did always his best to make our tour perfect. It was a fantastic once in a lifetime experience, but we definitely want to come back.
We would every time book again our tour with Safari Soles and can recommend the company a lot. Also we would love to do a next tour with Dickson again, because of he was a brilliant guide and also good German speaking. Sorry for our bad English….

Incredible experience in Masai Mara with Raymond !!
Our guide Raymond was absolutely amazing, and the experience was incredible! We were lucky enough to see the Big Five thanks to him. He knows the reserve inside and out and always knew exactly where to go!
These past three days with him were truly unforgettable. I highly recommend asking for Raymond if you’re planning to explore Kenya and its national parks. He made our safari an incredible experience from start to finish! 🤩🦁🐘🐆

Amazing! Lovely guide / driver and really sweet office girls.
We booked from India, looking for a great local tour operator and made no mistake to choose Axis Africa. They co ordinated well, picked us up from stay got us Raymond who was our safari guide and driver. We spotted the big five in the first 5 hours of the safari. Call it luck or call it the efforts of the driver, his 16 years experience really showed when he spoke about animals and ensured we get the best view of the rarest animals to find. And not to forget they upgraded our stay from 4 stars to 5 stars at no cost. The stay at Jambo Mara was GREAT. Food was GREAT. Will recommend everyone to book from them and you won’t regret :)

From the first moment Axis supported me with immediate responses on every question we had before booking and after booking with the preparation and arranging the details.

Call it luck, or call it Raymond’s incredible experience and his 16 years of experience really showed. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, knew exactly where to look, and always made sure we got the best possible view, especially of the rarer animals.
And to top it all off, Axis Africa upgraded our stay from a 4-star to a 5-star property at no extra cost! Our stay at Jambo Mara was great the food was better, and the overall experience was truly memorable.

Absolutely amazing
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than what I received with Josero & the safari. The communication was amazing and quick response always. Everything was managed and sorted for us all we had to do is turn up. The accommodation was even better than expected it felt like luxury in the middle of nowhere!
The safari I self is an experience I will never forget. We had Regan as our tour guide and he was the perfect person with great English, made the safari experience awesome by doing everything he could to ensure we could see all the animals. I would 100% recommend Josero Tours to anyone wanting to book a safari, thank you again!

Comfortable and stress free
Absolutely incredible holiday! Felt looked after from the moment we got out the airport and was picked up by Dan. The whole time was planned out excellently with very good communication. Our driver, Charles, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable during the game drives and the long drives from place to place were comfortable and completely stress free.
