Joel, our driver, knew exactly where to take us. We saw a lion, giraffes, zebras,wildebeest, impalas, ostriches, hippos, rhinos, baboons, antelope, crocodiles, buffalo, hyrax and others, along with many birds. He explained their behaviour, from "lonely loser" antelopes, a "forever" pair of small birds who crossed the road and waited for each other, and the crazy,hilarious ostrich courtship, with a female who truly was not interested! Joel can also tell stories about mamas and babies, geststion, lifespans, friends and enemies...
On the practical front, he minimised road bumps, gave ample time for photos, and even managed to squeeze in a trip to a nearby bead factory. He was flexible and understanding about the need for a different drop-off point after the ride, too. It was a magical moment.

I had an amazing 7-day Kenya safari with Axis Safari, covering Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli, and it turned out to be one of the best travel experiences I've ever had.
From the moment the trip started until the very end, everything was well organized. The camps we stayed in were comfortable, clean, and located in beautiful surroundings that made the safari experience even more special. The food throughout the trip was excellent, with good variety and quality every day, which was something we really appreciated after long game drives.
The biggest highlight of the trip was our guide and driver, Peter Kapino. He truly made this safari unforgettable. Peter Kapino is incredibly knowledgeable about Kenya's wildlife, the national parks, and animal behavior. He had an amazing eye for spotting animals that many people would have easily missed. Thanks to his experience and patience, we got to see an incredible number of animals across all the parks.
What stood out most was how dedicated he was to giving us the best possible experience. He would position the vehicle perfectly for photos, explain interesting facts about the animals, answer every question with enthusiasm, and make sure everyone in the group was comfortable. His driving was safe and smooth throughout the journey, even on challenging roads.
Peter Kapino wasn't just a driver—he was a storyteller, wildlife expert, and someone who genuinely cared about making our trip memorable. His passion for his work showed every single day.
Masai Mara was breathtaking, Lake Nakuru offered incredible wildlife sightings, Lake Naivasha was peaceful and scenic, and Amboseli gave us unforgettable views of elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Every destination felt special, and Peter Kapino played a huge role in making each stop even better.
I would highly recommend Axis Safari to anyone planning a Kenya safari. Their excellent organization, comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and especially having a guide like Peter Kapino made this a five-star experience.
