Very kind and competent guides who shared a lot of wisdom
I can 100% recommend Damian, Frank and Jesse! They are great guides with a lot of knowledge which they shared with us. They explained a lot about wildlife, culture and Tansania in general and really made our stay amazing. The Cook James delivered excellent food everyday and also took care of our vegetarians.

Did the tour with jesse (the best!), damian and frank. we were able to see the big five! Jesse gave us a lot of Information and answered all of our questions! Our cook james always prepared delicious meals for us!

Damian, Frank, Jesse and James were amazing! We had such a great time on the safari and were taken care of incredibly well. The drivers kept us informed throughout the tour and were very helpful and friendly. The food and meals were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I highly recommend it.

Flexible, transparent, fair price, nature lovers and, of course.. they have the best cars!
Our trip with Wild Uganda had all that we wanted and was perfect. I'll talk about some important points that might be important for other travelers:
- Communications: The communication with them was easy and smooth, first via email and then via Whatsapp. They were always answering fast and happy to help to solve all our questions (we had a lot). We had to customize the "route" for us and there was no problem on that.
- Tour: After reading a lot of information on internet, the tour the they propose to you includes what, for us, is the most important to see in Uganda regarding wildlife and nature. We did a 9 days trip and it was enought to see all what we wanted to see.
- Lodges: The lodges where you will sleep if you choose the low-medium budget option are really good. We were abit worried of that and it was a surprise that in all of them the food was increidibly good, we had hot water for shower, potable water, big and confortable beds with mosquitos net. We even met an elefant in QE while we were having breakfast!
- Guide: Derrick! This is you :) In our case, we did the trip with Derrick. He speaks english perfectly and he was able to answer all our questions about the animals, trees, parks, Uganda culture, food, history, etc... (Sorry Derrick, I know we put you on trouble in some questions :) ).
Derrick was on time every day, with the car cleaned and cold water waiting for us every day.
- Value for Money: We wanted to try to do the trip private (we are a couple from Barcelona, Spain) but almost all the options where extremely expensive. This one had a fair price. Probablye there are more luxury options with luxury lodges but honestly, we wanted to visit Uganda for the wildlife, nature and culture, not to be in a pool all the day. That's why we think there was no better option than that. And we were not wrong! We couldn’t be happier with the option we chose.
And last but not least, the have the coolest cars of whole Uganda!

THE experience
Where do we even begin? Our experience with Leopard Orchid was simply unforgettable. It is difficult to put into words what we experienced: truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Our guide Joshua, who accompanied us for six whole days, is one of the most friendly, kind and knowledgeable people you could ever meet. In fact, we now consider him a true rafiki (friend in Swahili), to the point that we are already daydreaming about our next trip with him.
His determination and patience allowed us to spot the Big Five — and even get incredibly close to them — as well as countless other animals. Some emotions simply cannot be explained; they have to be experienced.
There may even have been a little tear shed at the end of the safari. :)

The best part of our trip was our driver David
Due to being scammed by another safari operator, I had to choose Jocky Tours just one day before our departure. Looking back, I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions we made.
From the beginning, Jocky Tours was responsible and professional, and everything went smoothly.
But the biggest highlight was definitely our driver, David. He is an absolutely wonderful person — patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and very responsible. He explained everything to us clearly and was always happy to answer all our questions. Most importantly, we always felt safe with him, both on the road and during the safari.
David really made the experience much more enjoyable. We came to Kenya mainly for the safari, but meeting such a great person was an unexpected and very special part of our trip.

Fun and very responsible.
David was incredibly responsible and punctual. Having such a fantastic guide made this safari exceptionally fun!he took us as close as possible to the animals, allowing us to successfully spot the "Big Five"! Whenever we needed assistance, he was always there to help us patiently.

A professional, well-organised safari operator that goes above and beyond every step of the way
Our group did the 7 day safari with Jocky Tours, and it was truly a life changing experience.
Everything was organised so well from start to finish. Minneh was incredibly helpful during the booking process and patiently answered all my questions. We honestly couldn’t believe we got to experience such an incredible safari at such a reasonable price.
Our guide, John Walter, also known as “John of the Jungle,” was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different species of animals and birds across all the parks and was always happy to answer our endless questions. You could genuinely see how much he loves the animals and what he does. He was also hilarious and always knew how to lighten the mood and keep the group entertained. If you get Walter as your guide, you can be guaranteed that you’re in good hands!
I even had a little checklist scrapbook where I was ticking off all the animals and birds we spotted, and Walter helped me identify every species along the way. He was incredibly patient and attentive to all our needs, making sure we got the best photos from every possible angle! He was always punctual and made sure the jeep was clean and ready for us every day. Walter is truly an asset to Jocky Tours.
Another highlight of the experience was the freshly prepared meals at each stop. We really enjoyed having clean, authentic Kenyan food throughout the safari. The staff at every accommodation were also incredibly helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. And the views at Amboseli Mountain View Camp were simply surreal absolutely stunning!
Jocky Tours exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you so much for creating such an incredible experience and a core memory that we’ll treasure for a lifetime!
