A holiday that touched our whole family ❤️
I simply can't find the words to express how amazing this holiday was! Ally and the team were incredible from start to finish, creating an itinerary that fitted our family's needs perfectly. Ally was so helpful and flexible, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The cost of the safari was incredibly reasonable and I truly felt we had the same (if not better as a small company feels more personal) experience as some of the more expensive companies.
Our guide Joseph was fabulous! He was funny, safe, full of fun stories, and with the best laugh you'll ever hear! By the end of the safari he truly felt like part of the family. His 20 years of experience shone through every day. He seemed to know instinctively where to find all those hard-to-spot animals, and we saw so much more than we ever expected.
Booking with a small family run company was absolutely the right decision. Everything was tailor-made for us, from the food to the itinerary to all the little extras we never expected, and the family feeling was something very special. Mr Delicious kept us more than fed, with meals that were abundant and, well, delicious! We never wanted for anything.
I never thought sitting for hours in a vehicle could be so enjoyable, but it was! Whether we were spotting animals in silence (we saw everything!), laughing, chatting, napping (how do children sleep anywhere!) or singing together, it was precious time as a family.
We hadn't realised when we booked that Making Memories in Africa also supports the local community through building and running a school for children who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to be educated. Knowing our holiday helped support such an amazing initiative brought us a deep sense of happiness and joy. Meeting Mama Ally was a real highlight. She saw children being left behind in the community and decided to do something about it, and hearing her story was humbling and moving. It's clear that this isn't just a business to Mama Ally and Ally, it's a calling, and it's done with enormous heart.
We cannot wait to return. Thank you so much for making our family holiday so special.

Unique experience
It was our first time in Tanzania and it was perfect !
The organisation was really clear and all the staff members that we met (hotel/guide/driver) was really Lovely and Nice.
The food was good and delicious, we enjoyed that we had real meal for the lunch during the safaris.
The activities were unique and we saw many wildlife and landscapes !
We enjoyed it !

Lion King Adventures ROCK!
We just returned from an amazing experience on a safari in Tanzania, thanks to Lion King Adventures! It was truly an unforgettable experience. Lion King Adventures were incredibly professional from the first contact to the very end when we were dropped off at the airport. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Pendo, Naurey, were our first contacts and they were professional and always quickly responded to our questions. Frederick and Jackson were incredible guides! So patient, knowledgeable, funny, and made sure we saw up close all of the animals we dreamed of seeing. Our lodging was super clean and very comfortable, with tasty meals served on terraces overlooking beautiful landscapes. If I could, I would return in a heartbeat.
