Smooth sailing and more animal encounters than we would have dreamed of!
We booked an 8 day safari for two people with Josero, for November 2025 (low season). We were very happy with our purchase and would choose them again, for the reasons explained below.
In life, sometimes it is better to eat dessert first. We liked that Josero offered a tour that visited the usual destinations but in reverse order, i.e., Masai Mara followed by Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha, followed by Amboseli. We liked that Josero offered a tour that spent two or more nights in each hotel, so that we would not constantly be packing and unpacking. We also liked that Josero offered lodging options that put more than just a thin sheet of canvas between us and the nocturnal predators that we were coming to see. We were quite comfortable going with a young company with a short track record but strongly positive reviews, knowing that the company would be doing its best to build its reputation. We were comfortable with the price, given that we were staying in good lodgings (while we were gathering proposals for different companies, we noticed that some of them jacked up their prices quite a bit from what was listed on the Safari Bookings site, and Josero did not do this).
While arrangements were being made, Judith was attentive via WhatsApp and gave us good advice. Once the tour started, our guide and driver Lawi Miruka showed himself to be a calm and patient driver in his venerable pop-top Toyota Land Cruiser on the truck-infested roads. When we were in the parks, Lawi always had us in the right places at the right time to see interesting birds and animals. We are nature lovers, and we saw more animals of more kinds than we would ever have imagined. We even were lucky to witness some very interesting animal behavior that we never would have dreamed of, including a giraffe fight -- no biting, no kicking, but plenty of other kinds of violence.
As you may have noticed when trying to return an item that you bought online from an unfamiliar merchant, sometimes a customer gets good service until something goes wrong. But when our plans hit a snafu during one excursion, Josero rose to the occasion and made sure everything was taken care of for us. That's the true test of good service!
We would not hesitate to book with Josero again. Bring your binoculars, your camera zoom lens, and your field guide to the animals that interest you, and you'll have a great time too!

If you pass the boarder from Kenja to Tansania you have to pay 50,- for the certificate of yellow fever and 50,- for the visa!

My experience with Wildlife Safaris far exceeded expectations. We saw the big 5 - included 2 rhinos & 3 leopards - and countless other giraffe, hyena, zebra, baboons, a menagerie of unique birds and much more. Our guide Brian was fantastic - his ability to spot wildlife and identify the countless species was fantastic. He also kept us on schedule without us ever feeling rushed. Cannot recommend this higher!

Five Perfect Days on a Private Safari with Guide Salehe
We chose Lion King Adventures for a Private 5-day Safari: 1 day in Tarangire National Park, 2 days in Serengeti National Park, 1 day in the Ngorongoro Crater, and 1 day in Lake Manyara National Park (including a Walking Safari).
From the very first contact, Lion King Adventures offered us an excellent proposal and answered all our questions promptly. They made us feel comfortable and confident about booking with them. We made the payment via Wise, and everything went perfectly.
We arranged our own accommodation in Arusha (one night before and one night after the safari), and Lion King had no issue adapting the proposal and the pick-up/drop-off accordingly.
Now, about our guide, Salehe Lionging — we highly recommend him. He has been a guide for over 10 years, and that experience truly shows in his knowledge and confidence throughout the safari.
He clearly knew the terrain very well, drove safely, and always knew where to take us within the parks. He had an incredible eye for spotting animals — many of which we would never have seen without him.
It was also very important to us that Salehe showed great respect for nature and the animals, as well as genuine care for his fellow guides on the road during the entire trip. Thank you, Salehe, for the amazing experience!
Our vehicle (number 1 – Mufasa) was always spotless, with unlimited fresh water and several other drinks available throughout the safari.
The lunches during the safari were excellent and served in generous portions. Salehe always found great spots for us to enjoy peaceful meals surrounded by nature.
The selected accommodations (Olea Farm Lodge and Embalakai Serengeti Camp) also exceeded our expectations. A special mention to the friendliness and atmosphere at Embalakai — truly memorable.

In addition to everything being perfectly organised, the guide who accompanied us all the tour long, was most helpful, always ready to
please, inform and attend any possible need. Very friendly. He transmitted to us so much about the local culture, animal life, and the overall environment. Lodging choices were just perfect and really worth their value. Cars were comfortable, tidy and clean
