Review about Hwange National Park by Peter Richmond

An amazing experience with an opportunity to get so close to the wildlife... the road from Victoria Falls needs lots of repair work to make the trip even more enjoyable... work appears to be happening now... so important for this to be completed and then maintained regularly..

Zimbabwe is a magical place. The incredible opportunity to see wildlife close up, the stunning beauty of Victoria Falls could only be surpassed by the friendliness of the people. I highly recommend Zimbabwe as an amazing destination to experience all that Africa has to offer. Don't pass up on the chance to experience the true wonders of Africa.

Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!
5/5

Our tour with Joseph was EXCEPTIONAL and we can’t thank him enough. He is warm, kind and knowledgeable, happily answering my million questions about culture, wildlife, politics etc! My husband and I had the experience of a lifetime, one we’ll never forget, and we’re eternally grateful to Joseph for that,

In 7 days, we had efforts, challenges, emotions, laughter and rewarding experiences
5/5

Our group of ten had been discussing the 1st week of October trek for month, and finally decided to take on the challenge and do our desired trek in 17 October. We choose a good reputable Tanzanian local tour organizer Kili Slope Tours and Safaris.
From the moment we set foot on the Lemosho route with our professional guide Shuma he was a great hiking expert, the mountain seemed to adjust to our pace and mindset. The damp ground, scattered sunlight, and steady incline helped us warm up without rushing. As we climbed toward the Vein Plateau, the scenery took on a grandeur that none of us had anticipated. The change in elevation slowed the conversation, but it brought us closer in a more peaceful way-checking in with each other, sharing layers, and reminding each other to hydrate. The climate change break near the Lava Tower felt tough but gave us confidence for the day ahead. The evenings at camp were always cozy, with steaming food and endless stars overhead. Climbing the Barranco Wall became one of our favorite moments, full of small victories and team spirit. Reaching the summit at night required patience and determination, and our guide Shuma kept us confident in going slowly, for a while it seemed impossible to reach the summit. But we achieved it with the beautiful guidance of Kili Slope Tours team who made the trek easy. An experience that stays with us even after landing.

Professional
5/5

Our group consisted of 14 climbers (some of us flew from the US) and others from India. We completed an 8-day Kilimanjaro climb via the Lemosho Route on November 15, 2025. The views were amazing, but the Aardvark Expeditions team was what made it so special.

Ewald, Gabriel, and Fred were our mountain guides from the Aardvark Expeditions and did a great job of mixing their professionalism with a personal touch while helping us get to the summit (Uhuru Peak 5,895masl). They made sure to pace us correctly, especially for the long acclimatisation days. Our two cooks, Paul and Ephraim, did an excellent job of giving us "home-cooked meals" on the cold nights at the Shira and Barafu Camps. I truly recommend Aardvark Expeditions for a memorable Kilimanjaro climbing experience.

An Exceptional and Unforgettable Safari Journey
5/5

From the very beginning, the experience was marked by impeccable organization and genuine care. Mountain Warriors Tours and Safari provided constant support. They made everything smooth and worry-free
while John, my guide, elevated the journey with his expertise and confident. He’s an exceptional driver who knows every corner of the parks with absolute confidence. Even on the roughest or most remote tracks, I always felt completely safe with him behind the wheel. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants a safari they’ll remember forever.

Best Safari Experience!
5/5

We booked this Safari company thanks to a recommendation online. We booked the affordable group safari but eventually we ended up with only three people on the tour instead of seven. From the moment I made the enquiry for the tour the communication was perfect. Very detailed description of what we could expect and we could chat via WhatsApp for all other questions or remarks. The day before the safari we were met at our hotel for a short briefing. This was very nice and comforted us in the final moments before we started our 4-day safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorogoro.

We were picked up by our guide (John) at our hotel and off we went to the first park. During the entire trip John showed us that we is an experienced driver and guide. He showed us the best spots in the parks and made sure to include us in the decision making of where to go or when to leave. The accommodations of our trip were amazing. The first night was actually very luxurious and we felt well cared for. The other two night were basic camp sites but that was half the fun. To stay and sleep surrounded by animals is equally exciting as it is scary sometimes. (We had many zebra’s in our second camp which was amazing!) Make sure you bring warm clothes as well as a flashlight and a powerbank to be prepared. You can charge your phone often but it is nice to be able to do it in your tent as well if needed.

Do not worry about the quality or quantity of the food because there will be an abundance of food each meal. The chef made excellent meals all day long.

The most important thing during this trip would probably be the animals and let me tell you, wow! There were so many and John made sure we saw each and every one of them. (Big 5 check!) You could tell he is an experienced guide by the way the communicated with the others via radio and found every hidding place of the animals. It was very exciting all day long!

Overall this was one of the best experience of my life and I would greatly recommend booking your experience with Mountain Warriors. They are truly the best. I could talk for hours about this trip but I will let my pictures do the rest of the “talking”.
