Friendly and very knowledgeable
Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Even when the airline lost one of our bags Africa Marvel went out of their way to make sure our bag was found and delivered to us within 48 hrs. This tour company gets full marks for their service. Highly recommend using them. The guide was easy to understand in English and he never rushed us. If we wanted to just sit and look at the animals that’s what we did.

Poorly organized and not transparent
Do NOT book with them. They do not use their own safari car for group safari but instead throw you in a car with tourists who booked with other safari companies and whose itineraries they have no control over or knowledge of. There was a lot of confusion, delay and waste of time just waiting because everyone stays at a different place and has different specific itineraries, plus the local guide is not directly affiliated with the company so communication was indirect. We almost missed our entrance to Maasai Mara the first day and missed our day at Lake Nakuru. On top of that, they put 8 people in our car which was very uncomfortable for an 8 hour ride on bumpy roads.

The itinerary was well planed, the service was excellent, Boniface is a good driver and communitor. We learn a lot from him. We were able to see all big fives, this is a unforgettable trip, life time experience. it's definitely worth of visiting the Safari!!!

Let me start by stating that my wife and I have traveled to many places including Africa, this being our second trip to the Continent. And yes, we have been on safari before. Yet nothing we have experienced prepared us for the excellent service of Lion Safari. They took care of everything, permits, pick up drop off, we had nothing to think about except seeing animals. They did all of this with NO hidden fees, everything was up front and exactly as they presented it to us. Our guide, Emile has vast knowledge of the animals at Akagera park. He also provided information on local culture, agriculture, bee keeping etc. On previous safari(in another country) the guide was also quite knowledgeable, however he let us know how much education he had and gave us such n elevated explanation of everything that it was somewhat intimating. Emile answered all of our questions in an unassuming manner, really felt like I was talking to my best friend. He would stop often to give us a briefing as to what the plan was, where we were going and why. Emile created a fun comfortable environment, we truly enjoyed his company. Emile understood when and where the animals would move, furthermore he made alliances with the other tour operators so that if we wanted to see a particular animal he would network with them, to find out where the animals where that we wanted to see. Yes we saw the “Big Five”. Later we booked with Lion Safaris to see the golden monkeys, needless to say it was just as amazing.
We are only giving five stars because they will not let us have any more.

Wonderful Safari in Tanzania
Incredible trip: 4 days in Zanzibar followed by 7 days of safari! Memorable and wonderful memories. Excellent organization: driver, hotel, animals, all were there! Our drivers Dismas and Innocent were incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the fauna and flora, organized and resourceful in case of a flat tire! Very well organized trip, next time we will organize to see the great migration of the Serengeti. Francis and Jesca very attentive at the office and in Arusha! A wonderful trip to a wonderful country with extraordinary people! Many thanks!
