Excellent guides, fantastic safari and Mount Meru experience
Great holiday experience with Kiliholidays.
We did the 4 day Mount Meru hike, followed by 5 day private safari tour. Very knowledgeable and friendly guides and porters.
Meru was excellent - really felt cared for. Lodging basic but comfortable. Only improvement would be sending a kit list before arrival - we hadn't done an activity like this before and weren't sure of clothing needed/if we needed sleeping bags (they were hired for us upon request) or what the facilities were/ whether water would be provided (bring water bladder if you have it; water is provided but you need to take a reusable bottle - these can be hired at entrance to Meru park.) A brief kit list would have put our minds at rest!
Also be aware of tipping rates when factoring in cash ($20 per day for guide, $15 for cook, $10 for porters up Meru; $20 - $30 for safari guide).
Safari also excellent - guide fantastic with 10+ years of experience. Accommodation was excellent, vehicle was comfortable. Saw the big 5, which was incredible.
Only improvement would be communication ahead of arrival - kit list etc would have made the process feel smoother. Once on the trip, however, the experience was excellent. Would recommend.

I can not recommend Elephant Herd Safaris Enough. They created a personalized trip with everything that we wanted to experience & explore in South Africa. We wanted to experience Kruger & Sabi Sands private reserve & the accommodation they offered was outstanding 5 star with exceptional service & food. Our flight was delayed and it caused an issue with our itinerary but they were at the end of the phone helping me navigate new flights & changed our itinerary to ensure everything we wanted to do was still feasible with some amendments. Their communication was quick & tour guides were extremely knowledgeable & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and I am so thankful I choose this company. The peace of mind for having everything organized and support when needed took the stress out planning the trip myself. Shafino is a real expert and we learned a lot about the animals and nature of Tanzania.
We had a wonderful time on our safari with Shafino. Shafino is a true expert and in the Serengeti he was vale to spot all the animals and tell us fascinating stories about them and the nature surrounding us. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience with very professional guide: Focus and intern: Izaak. They made the trip fun, safe and entertaining. Thanks to Goodluck, company owner, for all arraignments and customer-focus responding to our needs and special inquiries. Great selection of accommodation and crew. We spent lovely 8 days in Serengeti, Ngorongoro with extra day visit to experience life of local Hadzaba tribe. We were lucky to see the great migration through Mara river, liomess on a tree and rhino. We are super satisfied and can totally recommend this company.

The best family adventure ever!
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Kenya Expresso from start to finish! From the very first contact 6 months ago, Paul, Faith and the team were highly knowledgable, flexible, listened to our requirements and provided fabulous options at an honest price. They were also kind, responsive and patient with us and we ended up booking an amazing tailored trip. Then at very short notice ( a matter of weeks), due to a family event we had to move our trip forward, they managed it and again were kind and patient and reassuring. We arrived and met Paul ( we were lucky to have Paul the MD as our guide for the safari part) and our trip of a lifetime started. Paul is highly knowledgable about the country and also animals, knows where to spot them, is well known by others at the park and we ended up seeing far more animals than we could have ever hoped for, all the big 5 and so much more. We did Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Ol Peljeta and Samburu and also saw many baby animals, animals on honeymoon and animals eating their catch so a full circle of life. The vehicle was great and the tented camps were also fabulous, great locations and staff, great comfort and food including gluten free options. We also enjoyed our visits to a Masai village and a Samburu village, great learnings for our teenage children. We then took the train to Mombasa and spent a few days at Diani beach which was very relaxing and beautiful and our drivers on those trips Jackson and Julius were friendly and knowledgeable. The true highlights of the tour were seeing all the animals and our chats with Paul, the 4 of us agreed this is our best family trip ever, the adventure of a lifetime and we already can’t wait to go again one day. So if you are thinking of booking a safari trip to Kenya or a number of other countries, then honestly look no further, Paul and Faith can organise the perfect trio for you. I spent six days and five nights traveling with Meru Slopes. It was simply fantastic.
Our guide Patrik, our cook Johani, and Almachius in the office gave me an unforgettable time.
Patrik knows absolutely everything about animals, plants, and trees. He was able to answer every question, while also mastering the bumpy roads in the national parks, keeping an eye out for animals, and always getting us to the next restroom stop on time ;-) Thanks to his expertise, we saw so, so, so many animals. In the Serengeti alone, we saw more than 50 lions, including the kill of a gazelle. We saw the Big Five in 2.5 hours on our first day in the Serengeti. Patrik is well connected via radio with other jeeps and always had the right instinct for special animal sightings. We were always in the perfect position to observe the animals. It was indescribably amazing.
Our chef, Johani, conjured up fresh, delicious local dishes for us three times a day. Sometimes even with short nights of 3-4 hours. Simply priceless. I will miss his laugh.
Meru Slopes places great emphasis on customer satisfaction, not revenue. They mostly work with permanent staff. This makes a huge difference in quality and service, especially during peak season. I was out for a day with another agency, so I have a comparison.

Climbing Kilimanjaro with guides Epa and Odas from Migration Venture Africa was an unforgettable adventure. The entire team was bright, positive, and caring, filling the campsite with laughter and warmth. Epa’s deep knowledge and attentiveness ensured we were comfortable despite the high altitude and cold nights. Without his guidance and support, reaching the Uhuru Peak would have been much harder for us.

Unforgettable safari with Akondo, perfectly organized by Boris and guided by amazing Richi!
We went on a safari with Akondo through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, Boris took care of every detail, organizing everything perfectly. Our guide Richi was simply amazing – friendly, fun, passionate about nature, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and culture. Thanks to him, we saw animals we never imagined we’d encounter, always with respect for their environment and while making us feel safe and well taken care of. The itinerary, the service, and the atmosphere exceeded all our expectations. We would definitely do it all over again without a doubt!

Jambo! Thank you Lion King Adventures for this fantastic trip! Great experience for sure! We were 5 people and we are happy with the tour for two days - in Ngorongoro and Tarangire. Special thanks to Eugen. Very good in all the tours, great drive in the hard road of Ngorongoro, after the second day we have some free time so he went us to shopping center and to two small museums, it was interesting. We visited also Maasai village , but it looks like tourist trap and it could be skiped. Just one little remark, there could be some more info for the animals and the parks during the drive. But overall the experience was great and we are really happy with all. Eugen helped us to saw 4 of the big 5 :), and it was great. We catched great moments and saw really specail animals. We don't have a base to compare, this was our first safari from this kind, but I think all was good. Lion King are professionals and we recommend on 100% theis service - from the guide to all organisations. Also the lodge was perfect, 10/10. If we come back for longer safari in Serengeti, we will call them again :). Hakuna Matata!
