Kind, calm and went above and beyond to make our experience better.
5/5

We had a great time on safari with Karim at Migration Venture Africa, and would recommend to anyone thinking of going. Our guide was very informative, very safe and he made our entire experience great.

A bunch of deceptive individuals
1/5

Booked the tour via Get Your Guide. On the day of departure, the tour was cancelled for extremely vague reasons. We were told we'd be transferred to another tour operator, who doesn't even work through GYG and would require us to pay by card directly. Their website was unreachable — the whole thing felt completely off. Extremely poorly organised. It felt like we were being scammed. Do not do business with these people.

Great to deal with.
5/5

Anya was wonderful in helping plan our first trip to South Africa. She took the time to find out what our interests were and what we hoped to see and then planned a great trip based on this, starting with 3 nights in Kariega Game Reserve which was a fantastic introduction to the wildlife, and then followed by a private Garden Route Tour which was excellent. Everything that Anya organised for us ran smoothly and she was often in contact with us before and after the trip to see how we were going and answer any of our questions. We would happily use Pembury Tours and Anya to organise future trips to Southern Africa for us.

Amazing family trip
5/5

Absolutely fantastic service, Sarah-Jane was truly wonderful from start to finish. She understood our needs, and recommended wonderful value (but high quality) options to suit our budget. The welcome package at our first accommodation (Boschendal) was a lovely touch, and Sarah Jane was in touch throughout our trip when we needed any support (eg additional bookings, transfers etc). Would 100% recommend booking your trip with JourneyTo.

Any Africa adventure for my family and friends in future will be in Mr. Shafino’s hands.
5/5

We chose Africa to celebrate my son's graduation from primary school — and I have to say, it was an adventure like no other!

We spent 12 days on the savannah, following the footsteps of wildlife every day. My son and his friend saw countless animals and landscapes they had only known from zoos or TV before. They were amazed by the world’s beauty and brilliance, and it sparked in them an even stronger desire to explore the unknown.

We became very good friends with Mr. Shafino, our dedicated guide who planned well-thought-out routes for us each day — sometimes have to driving 300–400 km daily. My son and his friend adored him; he’s like a living encyclopedia of this land. Before we said goodbye, the kids drew him a picture, a moment that left a deep impression on me.

My son and Shafino made a promise: when he graduates at 18, he will return to Africa — and Shafino will once again be his guide!

The entire team at Golden Trips were friendly, hard working, fun, and went above and beyond!
5/5

JOEL at Golden Trips put together an unforgettable African Experience! I would 100% recommend using his company and crew and, if I get the opportunity when my kids are older, I hope to use them again one day. He customized the trip to our groups' preferences, and even changed it several times with no complaint when we added a couple more people last minute. Our trip was in two parts: A safari the first week and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro the second.

During our first week, we took a Safari in Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater, and also included a cultural experience with 3 local tribes. Our Safari guide ERIC worked really hard to make sure we saw as much as possible. We didn't see all the big 5, but we saw pretty much everything else, including rivers full of hippo, thousands of zebra, the wildebeest crossing the Mara River, several male lions (extremely close!), a female lion hunting, and so many baby animals (elephants, giraffes, lions and more!). We had many personalized experiences including a walking tour in Tarangire NP, a night tour in Lake Manyara NP, and the hot air balloon trip over the Serengeti (highly hightly recommend this). Each of the camps we stayed at were clean, well serviced, and relaxing. The food was delicious and the people were a lot of fun. The value for the cost was very good!

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was memorable to say the least! It was challenging and extremely rewarding. The crew that took us up was perhaps one of the best on the mountain. DICKSON and NOAH were our guides and I highly recommend requesting them. They were good sports and a lot of fun with our crazy group! The crew carried our gear, cooked our food, set up and took down our tent every day, and still had great attitudes, taught us about the mountain's history and ecology, and managed to make us laugh a lot. CHEEKS was our chef and he makes a mean zucchini soup (I still want that recipe!) and AY was my personal porter and our group waiter. He was up every morning to wake us with hot tea and warm water to wash with. He was unbelievably strong and I am grateful to him for helping me be successful on the mountain!

On summit day, one of our group got some mountain sickness at the top and lost some of his coordination. Dickson and Noah rushed into action, took him arm in arm, and rushed him down the mountain to safety. One of our porters, Ay, also helped a lot to bring him safely down. I don't think we would have been able to help him descend by ourselves, so I owe a debt of gratitude to our guides for the safety of this member of our group. I know if he were in critical condition, they would have had the means to call for additional help. They pushed us enough to be successful, but kept each day at a pace that was tailored to our skills and needs. In the end, we all summited and made it home safely.

All in all, I would absolutely recommend this group for their reliability, good communication, excellent customer service, providing a great product and just genuinely great people. They work very hard to give you a memorable experience, and they certainly succeeded for us!
