Eddy on a Mission
Eddy was our guide for the day, and he was fantastic—full of energy and enthusiasm. Before we started, he asked us for our “menu” of what we hoped to see, which made the experience more exciting and personalized.
Expect an early call time, as the safari begins right after sunrise. The morning drive was freezing cold in the winter, so I highly recommend dressing in layers and bringing a blanket to survive the early morning breeze. By the afternoon, however, it gets quite warm, so be prepared to adjust your clothing throughout the day.
One important note: meals are not included. There was no breakfast or lunch provided, so it’s best to bring light snacks and some cash for meals at designated rest stops inside the park.
The game drive itself was incredible, with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife in their natural habitat.

incredible, unforgettable, above expectations
We recently returned from an 9-day, 8-night safari for our honeymoon, and the entire experience was outstanding. From the planning to the final game drive, everything exceeded our expectations.
Jeremiah did an excellent job coordinating the trip. He listened to what we wanted, worked within our budget and timeline, and still managed to line up incredible lodges and experiences. His organization and communication gave us complete peace of mind, and everything ran seamlessly.
Our guide, Champion, made the safari unforgettable!! He kept us laughing, made us feel welcome from day one, and shared his deep knowledge of the wildlife and parks. (we must of asked him a 1000 questions) Thanks to him, we saw far more animals than we ever imagined and he listened to what we liked and what we’d spend less time wanting to see. His ability to navigate the landscape, manage crowds, and position us perfectly for each sighting was impeccable. Every drive felt both exciting and relaxed, and we learned so much along the way.

Champion and Jeremiah made our dreams come true
We spent 9 days and 8 nights in Tanzania on our honeymoon safari with Serengeti Smile, and it was absolutely outstanding, far exceeding even our highest expectations.
A safari had been our dream for years, and since this was such a special occasion, we wanted to be sure it would be unforgettable. From our very first conversation with Jeremiah, our Serengeti Smile coordinator, we knew we had found the right company. He was incredibly responsive, always quick to answer our questions, and gave us excellent advice while tailoring the itinerary exactly to our wishes. He even made several adjustments along the way to ensure everything was perfect.
Our journey took us to Tarangire for two nights at Tarangire Ndovu Camp, Ngorongoro Crater for one night at Melia Ngorongoro, Central Serengeti for two nights at Melia Serengeti, and Northern Serengeti for two nights at Lemala Kuria Hills. Each accommodation was wonderful, and the pacing of the trip gave us the chance to fully enjoy every location without ever feeling rushed. Serengeti Smile also arranged our flight to Zanzibar and our stay on the island, and Jeremiah continued to provide updates and support even after the booking was confirmed, which we greatly appreciated.
And then there was our guide, Champion, who was absolutely phenomenal.
We had asked to avoid large crowds as much as possible, and Champion delivered beyond our imagination. Thanks to him, we saw more wildlife than we ever dreamed: over 100 lions, cheetahs with cubs, four leopards, two incredible river crossings at the Mara, and countless elephants, hippos, giraffes, and more, often with very few other vehicles around.
Champion is not only an expert guide but also a joy to travel with. He is funny, insightful, and passionate, teaching us so much about animal behavior and Tanzanian culture. Spending time with him made the experience even more memorable.
If you want a safari that is truly once in a lifetime, do not hesitate to book with Serengeti Smile, and if you can, request Champion as your guide. You will not regret it.

Very deep knowledge about all the safari animals!
The safari was amazing! We crossed Tarangire National Park from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and saw lots of different animals. The guides shared many fun anecdotes about them and had all the equipment needed for a great day. We stopped for a picnic with a meal provided by the guides, which was very enjoyable.

Amazing safari experience - Highly recommend!
We had the most amazing time with Tubale’s 10-Day Uganda Wildlife and Primate Tour! It was an incredible experience from start to finish. Planning with seamless – our trip planner, Annette, was quick to respond to emails, answered questions thoroughly, and was extremely accommodating, which made the process stress-free.
We were greeted by our guide, Arafat, at the airport once we landed in Uganda. Arafat is outstanding! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent at spotting all the animals we hoped to see. You communicated clearly about each day’s plan, which helped us feel comfortable and excited for what was ahead. One of our travelers is diabetic, and Arafat went out of his way to help support during a low blood sugar moment. By the end of the trip, it felt like we had built a genuine friendship with Arafat.
The trip itself was a perfect balance of wildlife and cultural experiences. Seeing animals up close was unforgettable, and the cultural experiences gave the trip even more depth. Overall, Uganda is a stunning country with warm, welcoming people.
This is an absolute must do trip! We would absolutely book with Tubale again, and highly recommend them to anyone wanting an amazing experience in and around Uganda.
