Very reliable, addresses individual wishes, and fast responses
5/5

We have done an 11-day private tour with destiny explorers covering Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, the Lake Natron area, Serengeti National Park and Lake Manyara National Park. Time flew by, we've enjoyed it so much and completed the Big Five - and saw many, many more fascinating animals! Communication was very smooth, we swiftly received responses and both the organiser and our guide were very reliable and kind. Overall, we can definitely recommend Destiny Explorers!

Amazing!
5/5

I’m so glad to have booked with Imara for our wedding anniversary trip. They went above and beyond throughout the trip , starting with such a warm welcome by the entire team at the airport. Met Lewis and his lovely wife Wendy, we were gifted some goodies to be used during our safari. The team also went above and beyond on our arrival when our baggage was delayed and delivered them to us before we set out for our safari.

Similarly, having such an experienced safari driver was a plus, Patrick has over 18 years of experience which was evident by the way he drove us as close to the animals as possible giving us the best view. He also gave us great knowledge about each animal when sighted. He was very friendly and accommodating when we asked for anything. And found the perfect balance of being informative without being overbearing which is a fine balance many drivers won’t have.

Imara also planned some special surprises for us which made our trip even more memorable! We went for a more customised package thus covered Nairobi, Aberdare forest, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara. They managed to meet all our accommodation choices unlike other Safari companies we came across. Would recommend them to anyone and looking forward to book with them in the future to cover other parts of Africa :)

On the last day, we really wanted to try local food, the team went out of their way to take us to their local favourite spot. We were joined by Patrick, Lewis and Wendy for lunch which made it a wholesome experience.

Amazing holiday!
5/5

I just wanted to say a HUGE Thank You for organising the most amazing holiday for us in Kenya and Zanzibar. Our trip planner, Filipa, was just incredible, so efficient and attentive, the email communication was really good, all my queries answered super-quickly. When we got there, everything was just perfect, from our amazing driver Konana who was just brilliant with the game drives in the Masai Mara, he was so knowledgeable and just so easy to get on with, he went above and beyond for us to see all the animals and have the best experience.

Very good

Had a fantastic safari experience. A very experienced guide who did everything he could to show us and show us as much as possible. I only booked the excursion a day in advance, and yet everything was exceptionally well organized down to the last detail. Highly recommended!

A wonderful experience
5/5

I did a one day Safari trip to Akagera and it was a highlight of my trip to Rwanda and Golden Rwanda Safari played a HUGE part in this.

First of all, it was very last minute. I decided to do it based on friend's experience and I booked it the evening before the trip. It was the only possibility for me and they accepted my request, no problem.

Second, my driver Mico is such a nice guide. He will do everything he can for you to have a great experience and see as much as animals as possible. I felt really at ease with him.

Third, the breakfast was excellent! So much choice!

Finally and most importantly, the Akagera park is beautiful and you will get to see so many animals in their habitat. I saw a mama Rhino and her baby and it was incredible.

I can only recommend Golden Rwanda Safari. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible
5/5

Excellent service, very friendly guides, and the transport from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi was comfortable and fun with our guide Isaia, who was always attentive and kind to us. The hotel was very clean and the staff treated us very well. The only downside was that we had to pay for drinks at dinner, even though everything was supposed to be included. Other than that, everything was great.

Amazing experience

My best friend and I went on the 3 day safari and I cannot recommend it enough. It's the perfect introduction to the park and safaris in general for those (like us) who would not have the faintest idea of what to do and where to go. I strongly recommend it, especially if it's your first experience

Lovely experience - but didn’t see the river crossing
5/5

I had an amazing trip with Axis safari tours and Dickson as our guide and driver.
I went mid July to spend my birthday weekend as a solo female traveller and had a short but sweet and super rewarding trip. Dickson was a great driver and guide, always super positive, friendly and humble, making sure we are all comfortable, despite the long hours and tiring journey. He’s also always in contact with other guides so if someone has spotted a lion or another cool animal nearby, he’d know to rush there, and drive us as close as possible to take good shots.

Axis tour was also super helpful - I reached out to multiple companies prior to choosing them but they were the most responsive and always provided very thorough answers making me feel ensured. I asked many many questions and they were always able to accommodate to different requests and answer professionally. They picked me up from the airport early morning, then brought me to find an ATM that works (the one in the airport doesn’t work for local currency, only works if you take usd), and also dropped me off on return, making it a very seamless and safe journey.
It turns out they group you with different companies on the same Jeep depending on which tour you choose, but the customer service / sales experience was the best from Axis which made it feel like a safe and smooth journey.
I am a female solo traveller and obviously concerned for many reasons. But even for the allocation of group they tried to group us with other solo travellers and it was a great match - there were 2 other female solo travellers onboard! I was given the opportunity to select my preferred accommodation (which is very important especially for the campsites if you go for the budget option) and they even offered me an upgraded option for 30usd/2 days extra which was a life changer compared to where the others were allocated. At least there was hot water (even though you need to run it for 10 minutes) and the place was very clean and workers there felt like family, super warm and welcoming. Everyone in my jeep group booked with different companies and even though we went with the budget option, they said they couldn’t choose their preferred accomodation, not even subject to availability.

Unfortunately, I was told the great migration had a very high chance to be witnessed in July (during the days I went given I booked only 1 week ahead) but we only caught the start of the migration where there were large groups of wild beasts on their way from Tanzania but the river crossing scene was completely empty… our guide told us the best time is more mid August. I also heard from different groups that went around those days that they had to wait in a spot for 2-3 hours to see the river crossing but we didn’t get to experience this at all - the river was completely empty of wild beasts and we were just brought to look at hippos and crocodiles from afar, in the location where we were meant to see the river crossing - so that was a bit disappointing. But anyhow, I’ve enjoyed my little long weekend getaway and my first ever safari experience!
