A fabulous experience
We got a new safari vehicle which was huge and very comfortable. Our driver 'Dickson' was a gentleman. I did feel safe with him with but the driving in Nairobi is generally quite scary!
Our first safari drive day 1 started at 4.30pm and within the first hour we saw 2 male lions sleeping!!
Day 2 Masi mara we saw more lions (5 brothers), two cheetah, Elephants up close!! Wildebeest, zebra, topi, Giraffe. It was incredible. Everything I expected and more.
The first camp was Lenchada tented camp. I loved my tent. It has an extremely comfy double bed with lots of blankets and was very clean. At the back of the tent was a full tiled bathroom. There was even hotwater for the shower! Electricity for lights comes on at 6.30pm.
After reading reviews on trip advisor about the Golden palace hotel, which was our day 3 accommodation I requested to change and I got to stay in a lovely hotel at no extra cost.
Overall everything was amazing.
My only slight negatives were I didn't feel we got much information before the safari. I was told by the man who picked us up from the hotel on day 1 and took us to the Jocky Tours office that the journey would be 3, maybe 4hours but it actually took 6!!!! Dickson never mentioned how long the drive would be.
I also was not happy that on day 3 Lake Nakuru once you got dropped at the lake, the only options was to pay extra for a boat ride $20 and $30 for a walk! If you decided not to do these you had nothing to do all day. That was very disappointing and I felt putting the customer in a difficult position to feel presured to spend more money.
I also would like to have known that despite the temperature in Nairobi being 16 degrees and cloudy and cold that once we got to the Mara it would be 26 degrees and hot. We were only told to bring warm clothes.
Overall I would recommend Jockytours and definitely do a tour with them again

I felt they were unprofessional.
I felt the communication was poor, and our guide was unprofessional. Our driver was at the wrong airport to pick us up, even though I had sent a screen shot clearly showing the airport we were flying into. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area's ecology, but I felt his behavior was overly attention-seeking and unprofessional. Would 100% not recommend this company. We had a vehicle breakdown at one point and joined another company's vehicle. I felt the difference in the behavior and attitude of their guide compared to ours was shocking. Both my daughter and I felt on edge and uncomfortable with our guide for the whole trip.

Amazing guide - very flexible, knowledgeable and responsible - we enjoyed our adventure with Khalifa
We had a fantastic 6-day safari experience, truly unforgettable thanks to our guide, Khalifa. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs.
Khalifa didn’t just show us the iconic wildlife but also told us fascinating stories about the animals’ behaviors, habits, and preferences. What’s even more interesting is the insights he shared about local culture, making it also an educational trip!
He was very flexible and responsive, making sure we were comfortable and having fun the whole time. We shared a lot of laughs along the way, and his warm and humorous personality made the experience truly enjoyable.
Highly recommended! Thanks to Khalifa again for a wonderful adventure!

A real trekking adventure with friendly staff and great food. highly recommend.
Excellent value for money. As you approach Mt Kenya summit from one direction and then exit the park from another, there are different routes to the summit.
Good camping gear, great food, encouragement and sharing of lots of local info along the trek. Pickup from hotel and travelled from Nairobi to Mt Kenya accompanied by guide on public 8 seater bus (fun experience) , although understand normally private transport is used from Nairobi. Tent and mattress setup for your arrival into the campsite with hot chocolate awaiting. Staff very helpful. Last day distance (summited at dawn followed by down the mountain and then walkout of national park) was about 29km total and was the hardest days trek.
Recommend taking two good pairs of gloves as wind chill at top of Mount Kenya more than expected given published ambient temps.

Very helpsome
Been om several safaris but first time trying out budget. Cant say nothing else than it was amazing. George had everything planned for us and changed things to our liking. We had Emmanuel as our safari guide and Meshak as our chef along the ride, both was incredible. The tour gave us all we wanted and I would highly recommend choosing Ecogreen for others.

Highly recommended - had an amazing experience
I had an amazing experience with Golden Rwanda Safaris. Frank, the owner, was incredibly responsive as I booked and coordinated the trip via both email and WhatsApp and Sufiane was an absolutely amazing guide. He was extremely friendly, fun to hang out with, and had an amazing knowledge of the park and all of the animals that we saw. His ability to spot animals and point them out to me was insane. He spotted a few lions in the tall grass and was very patient with me as it took me more than 5 minutes to see them myself.
Overall, the experience was incredible and I plan on booking with them again the next time I'm in Rwanda.

Snapping Stunning Shots and Loving Every Minute in Africa
This trip to Kenya with Amlana Safaris was my Third time in Africa, and it was absolutely amazing—I can’t imagine a better experience! As a 25-year-old who loves taking photos, this journey checked all my boxes.
Every day was so packed with fun and exciting things to do, which meant I had endless opportunities to snap stunning pictures. Whether we were driving through the savanna spotting animals, exploring small villages, or stopping at beautiful viewpoints, there was always something Instagram-worthy to capture. My camera roll is now filled with so many incredible shots that I can’t decide which one to post first!
Our driver was the best part of the trip, hands down. He’s super chatty and knows everything about the animals. Even from far away, he could tell exactly what species we were looking at—like, he’d point to a tiny spot in the distance and say, “That’s a Thomson’s gazelle, not a Grant’s,” and then explain the differences. He also told us all kinds of cool facts about their habits, like how lions sleep most of the day or why elephants never forget. Listening to him made the whole experience so much more interesting, and it felt like hanging out with a friend who just happens to be a wildlife expert.
One of the highlights was watching the sunset in Serengeti. It was like something out of a movie—pinks, oranges, and purples painting the sky, with the silhouette of acacia trees in the foreground. I took a million photos and sent them to my friends right away, and they all texted back saying they were so jealous. It’s a memory I’ll cherish forever, and I have Amlana Safaris to thank for making sure we were in the perfect spot to see it.
Overall, this trip was everything I hoped for and more. Amlana Safaris did such an amazing job planning every detail, from the daily activities to the driver they assigned. If you’re a young traveler who loves adventure, good photos, and learning new things, you have to book with them. I’m already planning my next trip with Amlana Safaris—this is just the first of many African adventures for me!
