Amazing coordination and logistics for a once-in-a-lifetime experience
Our family trip with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris was incredible. We traveled with a large group of 14, and despite all having different arrival and departure times, as well as different budgets, they were very flexible and accommodating. Everything went so smoothly, from airport pickup, to checking into the Nairobi hotel, to taking us to Wilson airport, and finally picking us up from the airstrip and taking us to our camp and around Maasai Mara. From the office, we worked mainly with Cynthia, and she was very responsive, both over email and WhatsApp, and was very patient with all our questions. Our group had two driver guides, Jack and Sir Charles. Two couples stayed at a different camp than the rest of the group, and the four of us mostly stuck with Sir Charles on the 6 day safari. He’s been doing this for 16 years and his experience absolutely shows. He is incredible at anticipating animal behaviors, which was so advantageous to help us get prime viewing spots. We were able to get some amazing shots of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and many other animals thanks to his expertise. He’s also an expert at driving a manual transmission. My husband was very impressed that he never stalled. Overall this was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience thanks to Axis!

My family and I did a 6 day safari visiting Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. We had an amazing time on our safari – it was truly an unforgettable experience! Both of our guides, Thomas in Kenya and Yassin in Tanzania, absolutely made the experience what it was. They were both so friendly and knowledgeable, and we learned so much about the animals and Africa from them! They were definitely the best part of our experience. While we were on our game drives, we could easily see the difference in engagement, excitement, and knowledge between our guides and others we saw in the parks. Both of ours were truly exceptional and we cannot thank them enough! Of course the animals were also amazing! We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 during our trip. This trip is something we will never forget!

We would like to share our honest review of our safari trip across Kenya and Tanzania.
First of all, David responded to our messages promptly and patiently throughout the pre‑trip communication, and he offered us a favourable pricing. Our drivers and guides were responsible during the whole safari. Special thanks to Gilbert, our young guide in Kenya. Though he was quiet‑spoken, he tried his best to spot wildlife for us and worked extremely hard.
There were a few unexpected drawbacks on our journey. Our schedule in Tanzania was delayed. The outdated vehicle broke down, so we missed the early‑morning game drive. We only started our safari after 8 a.m. In Kenya, we shared the vehicle with other travellers; the car was packed with 8 passengers, which felt rather cramped.
Despite these minor inconveniences, this was still an incredible overall trip. We spotted a great variety of wild animals during our safari. We are truly grateful for this unforgettable journey, and we will always miss our days across East Africa.

Very nice and cost-effective
The itinerary was well-planned, with two days spent on the grasslands before returning to the city to rest. Most of the budget accommodations were quite good, but a few lacked hot water for showers at night, possibly due to the grassland environment. The highlights: Our Kenyan guide, Gelbert, was excellent! Very professional, he led us in animal searches from dawn till dusk, making the Kenyan trip perfect. The only minor drawback was the daily lunchboxes; I felt they could have offered some variety, especially the roasted chicken leg, which became a bit repetitive after a while. Otherwise, I think it was excellent for a high-value tour. David, the main person in charge, was particularly helpful, closely monitoring our itinerary, communicating quickly, and promptly resolving any issues we encountered and meeting our needs. Greatest experience of a lifetime, exploring Mikumi national Park with Nuhu was an amazing thrill
The people here are amazing, and had great hospitality. We were so comfortable and everything was better than expected. Amazing and warm people, great food, beautiful place and good lodges.
