A must do safari experience add on when visiting Zanzibar
From booking the Safari tour directly with Uwanda Tours, the communication was good from the start. The price was a very good all inclusive package including round trip airport transfers.
We were picked up directly from the airport landing strip and straight into the safari jeep, great welcome and first impressions. The jeep seated 6 but we had it privately for a group of 2 which we loved. Our guide Mr Martin, was amazing, he asked our preferences and did the best job of finding all the animals for us, as well as being very knowledgable and giving lots of useful info about Tanzania, the animals and everything else. The game drive was above all my expectations, i really did have an amazing day, so much so that I will be rebooking for a full safari trip at a later date. The lunch on the game drive was also delicious and I am a fussy eater!
The accomadation provided was spacious and clean, with a lovely pool too. we had lots of visitors - monkeys! all around the resort. my only issue with the resort was that there was no restaurant menu, there was only 1 dish provided for lunch and dinner, so if you have any dietary requirements you will need to prepare in advance.
Day 2, we absolutely loved the Maasai village tour, however didnt love the river cruise, I found it quite boring, so given the choice I would choose a second game drive!
my only issue for the whole trip was the lack of communication at the airport leaving Zanzibar, there were multiple flights, no boarding passes and lots of confusion!
But overall we had an amazing trip and was a great expereince and also great value for money.

Very professional, kind and well mannered
As Italian I appreciated they speak my language very well so there are less misunderstandings. The initial approved budget was respected and the accomodation reflected the comfort level chosen. A special experience without complications.

Exceptional safari, great guide
My husband and I did 2 nights in Samburu, 1 night in Nakuru, and 3 nights in Masai Mara, and it was a memorable experience.
Our guide was John, and he played an important role in making the trip exceptional. John is knowledgeable, knows the parks and wildlife well, is a great spotter, and an excellent driver.
At Samburu, we saw lions, leopards, cheetahs, and most of Samburu’s Special Five. Only because of his judgment did we have a great sighting of a cheetah at Samburu. At Nakuru, we saw a pride of lions feeding, black and white rhinos, and many birds. At Masai Mara, we saw countless lions (more than 20 every day), cheetahs, leopards feeding, lions feeding, and lions with small cubs. And to top it all, we even saw a river crossing at Sand River, again because of John’s judgment. He never rushed us at any sighting and never got tired of showing us animals, even when it was a long day of driving for him.
He was very pleasant and informative, and he was friends with most of the other guides, which helped with sightings. Above all, he was very kind to everyone around him, both animals and humans.
We stayed at Sopa lodges at Samburu and Nakuru, both were excellent, at Masai Mara we stayed at Jambo mara, rooms were good but food was not.
Moses from Jockey helped us in planning, email replies were quick. Only thing to note is that Jocky charges extra for card payments, clarify this. They gave us best deal.

We had an absolute blast and David looked out for us every step of the way. We were fortunate to see many rare things and have lots of fun while spotting them. High level of service was experienced throughout and definitely high value for money. Even when there was a slight hiccup with breakfast one day we were so glad to have David looking out for us and making it right with the camp.

Excellent safari
Suricata safaris were excellent. I joined a group safari as a solo traveller at the last minute. I was fortunate to have different guides across the 5 days (Amuss, Steve and Amiri). They were able to iron out a scheduling issue remotely and each of them was able to find bucket list animals, provide information, answer questions and line the car up for the perfect photo or view point.
I thoroughly recommend the camping safari. Tents and beds were set up on arrival, food was excellent and it's amazing to hear it even wake up to animals around the camp.

From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, everything was extremely well organised. Axix Africa gave me my money's worth and were flexible with customisation
The tour was well structured and executed. We had an excellent vehicle, comfortable stays at good hotels and got to sample well laid out meals.
The high point of our tour was our tour guide, Mr Collins Sempele, who is knowledgeable, experienced and very helpful.
Because of him we were able to get excellent sightings at Amboseli,Ol Pajeta, Naivasha, Nakuru (where we were lucky to get multiple lion sightings) and Masai Mara. We saw all the Big five Game animals and in addition got a leisurely sighting of a cheetah, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos and many more game. Will carry back some beautiful memories of Kenya !
