From the first time we got in touch with Darren regarding planning our trip to Kenya and Tanzania, he was very responsive and was able to design a itinerary that fit our interests and budget. Excellent from start to finish
We just got back from an amazing safari, first safari for us, but surely one of the most memorable journeys. We are very glad to have found Axis Africa Safaris as everything was perfect from the very beginning. Jackline was very helpful with organizing the trip – we got several options to choose from in terms of the hotels and had no issues whatsoever with anything. I can actually say that the travel direction starting with Amboseli, then Naivasha, Nakuru and lastly Maasai Mara is the one I would highly recommend to everyone.
But, of course, the man we could not make a memorable journey without, was our guide and driver and a friend Yasin. We saw not only the Big Five or Big Nine but basically every animal available from great angles and in large amounts. In one week we saw three lion hunts, a lion and leopard together in one tree, herds of giraffes and elephants, plenty of rhinos, hippos and several cheetahs. While one can argue this is due to pure luck, Yasin knew the behavioral patterns of the animals, such as the movement trajectories, which allowed us to get the best angles for the photos. In addition, we were interested in local birds, and, when told, Yasin did his best in showing a lot of different species – we even had a special “hunt” for the Secretary bird and surely managed to find some.

Excellent organisation and helpful
Excellent communication before the trip. Edward my guide went out of his way to make my safari a wonderful experience. He worked extremely hard, was a careful driver and he was a positive and respectful guide. My wildlife viewings were fantastic saw many lions, witnessed a cheetah make a kill, saw a number of animals eating their food after a kill. Edward was always very patient as we often just sat and spent time observing nature. My accommodation arranged with the tour company and with my ideas taken in consideration and budget were all very good. Highly recommended.

Incredible safari experiences in Tarangire and Ngorogoro
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Travel Africa. From Mariana (our contact who instantly provided us with answers to all of our questions), to Ally (our excellent driver) and Justin (our wonderful safari guide), we really felt that we were in the most capable hands throughout. The safaris themselves were spectacular, we saw all of the Big Five and the meal provided on both days was delicious. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Kenya Up Close and Personal
Wow! Our fearless and knowledgeable driver, Moses, led us through rugged terrain with ease, pointing out wildlife along the way. He named the animal and fauna and pointed us to descriptions of each one in his safari books. He took us off road so we could get the best views of moving wildlife in their natural habitats. He was personable, thoughtful, and fun always reminding us to hydrate! It was a magical experience! I felt comfortable and safe. When I return to Kenya, I will only choose this company for any of my tours.
