Fantastically efficient with all our requests and requirements.
Axis were a fantastic expedition company. They were thorough in their preparations of the trip for us. They asked plenty of questions in terms of what we wanted and tried to get the best deal for us. We were on the safari for 4 days, started at Nairobi, Masai Mara, lake Nakuru and Naivasha. Their communication was fantastic as they always got back to us in timely manner. The experience was ethical in terms of respecting the animals’ habitat and the driver was mindful of us being in their territory apart from one particular sighting; we personally felt that the rush of vehicles towards the wilder beasts whilst they were crossing was quite distressful for them. Unfortunately, in that instance, we contributed towards the problem. It would’ve been nice to have viewed the crossing from a distance and thus giving the animals more space. The tour guide was aware that this was a wider issue that the reserve/park faces and he was trying to cater to everyone’s needs in our particular group. Overall, we had an incredible once in a lifetime experience. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the amount of animals we saw was incredible and the knowledge of our tour guide was impressive! Would definitely recommend booking through Axis!

Nature and adventure
I visited the Serengeti Park, Ngorongoro, and the Hadzabe tribe with Bush and Forest Explorers. These were thrilling experiences in close contact with nature and local populations, especially with a people who live as hunter-gatherers. The organization was efficient in every aspect.

Great driver and guide!
With Albert it is a great adventure! He is fun to be with and he is also very good in animal spotting!! Go with him to the Serengeti when you want to spot a lot of lions and you will have a wonderful time there! I have been on a safari with Albert several times. It is relaxed, safe and very pleasant.

Our final guide, Richard, was just as kind and knowledgeable. We really appreciated having different guides along the way—they each brought unique perspectives, stories, and deep knowledge, making every part of the trip enriching. On the last day we decided to do something else that wasn't originally planned in the itinerary and they were able to accommodate that request without any issue.
Every single lodge and accommodation Shanjoy booked for us was stunning—thoughtfully chosen, comfortable, and perfectly located.

Safari and trekking experiences!
I booked all my trips with Travel Africa Safari and had the best experience. Very professional and made your stay very special always being there making sure we were ok. I went on a 2 - day safari which was unforgettable. My guide Godfrey was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Ally was the driver, doing my transfers, a very good driver, friendly and made sure you were safe at all times. I had several day trips in and around Arusha, experienced the local life. I was looked after by guide James, who was extremely good, helpful and reliable and also made that little extra to make your adventure even better. I originally chose Travel Africa Safari for my Marangu trek due to their extremely efficient response to my queries and regular updates during the lead up to the trek and great value for money.
Upon arrival I received an excellent briefing before setting off on my individual trek with my guide Patrick and his crew. I had wondered about trekking alone rather than as a group, however due to the quick pace of the 5 day route, Patrick tailored everything to my individual needs and I’m sure this helped very much to my success and overall feeling of well being throughout my experience!
On such a trek there can always be highs and lows, however Patrick and his crew’s upbeat nature, excellent knowledge of the nature and terrain and attention to detail helped keep me motivated all the way to the summit - and back down again!
Would I choose to trek again with the same crew? Absolutely!

Excellent in every aspect!!!
The communicating before the tour was excellent. Silas gave us many options regarding hotels before we reach decision and nothing disappointed us. Our driver Edward was very professional and punctual and arranged everything in detail. On our arrival to Arusha one suitcase was lost and Silas helped us a lot Songs to relocate and finally get it back later on Zanzibar. The safari is an experience you should not miss. We saw everything and much more than expected. Thanks to the team!!!

Friendly, informative and responsible
Joseph picked us up from our hotel at 6:30am to join up with the rest of the travelers heading to Krueger National Park. He was energetic from the get-go, making us feel comfortable for the short ride. I really appreciate how he explained what we could expect for our drive up and while we were waiting on the bus at the OR Airport terminal, he shared his recommendations for JoBurg.
