Very good tour, friendly guide, lots of animals
Long drive but worth it to see the animals. Guide/driver was great. Drove up, around the park, lunch was good, more driving around the park then dropped at the train for the journey back to the hotel. Big 18 hour day but we ticked all the boxes seeing the amazing animals

Ken ia a very nice person, always happy and making jokes. makes you feel welcome
The communication is good, if you know a little English you are fine.
I think the money you pay for the tour is good for all that is included.
I loved the safari, Ken does the possible and the impossible for you to take the perfect photos.
The accommodations and the food were great too.

Unmatched experience that was catered to our liking
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Morningstar Tours and Travels for our recent safari in Kenya! From the moment we started planning our trip from Seattle, Dennis Kimeu, their Operations Lead, was outstanding. He worked closely with us to personalize our itinerary, and his communication was top-notch—always prompt, even during late-night hours in his time zone. His responsiveness and professionalism made planning a breeze.
Our safari guide, Willy, was equally exceptional. Incredibly polite and easy to talk to, he offered thoughtful recommendations whenever we were unsure and tailored each day to our pace and preferences—whether it was early game drives or relaxed mornings. His deep knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife, culture, history, and the Maasai people made our longer drives fly by. We had the surreal experience of seeing lions up close in Maasai Mara—so close we could have petted them (though we didn’t!). Willy, who calls Mara his “second home,” made that possible.
He also shared valuable insights for the future, including the best times to visit Kenya’s parks for optimal wildlife viewing (hint: not July–September), which we’ll be passing along to our friends and family planning their own adventures.
The Land Cruiser we had was in great condition and handled all terrains comfortably.
If you’re considering a safari, skip the foreign middlemen and book directly with a local company like Morningstar. With Dennis’s thoughtful coordination and Willy’s unmatched guiding, you’re guaranteed a phenomenal experience. Highly recommend!

Michelle is a really professional and knowledgeable operator who overdelivered on our expectations
We decided to use Michelle, as a local South African-based travel agent who had first-hand experience, rather than an Australian agent operating from a desk and screen, and we were not disappointed. In fact, Michelle far exceeded our expectations in every way.
We gave her an outline of where we wanted to go and suggested that five-star experiences is what we wanted, without going over the top. Her communication was outstanding, including a couple of phone calls, and her suggestions and attention to detail, particularly with tour, driver, accommodation and meal options.
The itinerary and tours that she planned was amazing:
We arrived in Cape Town, from London and stayed at the beautiful Victoria and Albert hotel at the Waterfront - so convenient to everything. We did wine and Cape Peninsular tours, along with Robben Island and Table Mountain and we even squeezed in a rugby game.
At Victoria Falls, we had superb accommodation at Ilala Lodge, where we could see the mist from the falls. A Zambezi River cruise, with dinner after. The helicopter ride over the falls and upstream and downstream was spectacular. A guided tour of both sides of the falls and a walk across the bridge was followed by lunch at The Lookout Cafe, downstream from the Falls and then to a the amazing Dusty Road Township Restaurant for dinner. Then a day tour to Chobe, including a boat cruise and game drive and a lunch at a local hotel.
We then flew to Kruger and overnighted at Oliver's, a beautiful boutique hotel located on the White River Country Estate, where we wished we could have stayed longer to at play the renowned golf course.
The two game lodges we stayed at were sensational with amazing accommodation, meals and, best of all, great guides - we saw not only the big Five of Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffalos and Leopards but also Cheetahs and Wild Dogs to make the Super 7, plus Giraffes, Zebra, Impala, Hippos, Monkeys and amazing birdlife.
At Inyati Game Lodge, in Sabi Sand, we had a beautiful chalet near the river, with monkeys and Impala wandering through, great food and twice daily game drives. Our day two post on Facebook: Walk to the Giraffes, a pair of Leopards (mating), Lions resting after a kill and more elephants - a cute baby that got startled when our guide started the engine and it gave out a trumpet and charged three metres at us as we slowly drove off. He looked quite proud of himself and will dine out on the story for years.
After three nights, it was a three-hour drive to another of the private game parks in the Kruger, Thabamati Luxury Tented Camp in the private Timbavati Nature reserve, for three nights. Wow. This was Luxury personified, with only four rooms. Our "tent" was absolutely stunning, just metres from the dam. We arrived in time for tea, before the evening game drive, to be greeted by a herd of 25 elephants, of which many also come for tea at the dam every day, much to the annoyance of the resident Hippos and two Egyptian geese.
Our, too short, tour ended with a flight to Johannesburg and then back to Sydney.
Thanks, Michelle for a real "Bucket list" experience.

a terrifying trip
It was a terrifying trip, and I still can't help trembling when I think about it. On the last day of the return journey, the driver parked the vehicle on a slope but failed to apply the handbrake after getting out. The car quickly rolled backward, crossed the entire road, and eventually overturned. The four of us in the car were injured to varying degrees. The travel agency refused any compensation, including for our personal items crushed under the car in the accident. When we requested to see our insurance documents, they refused to provide them, making it highly likely that they had not purchased insurance for us. The accident caused the fuel tank to burst, and diesel spilled all over the ground while we were trapped in the car. Fortunately, it was the rainy season, and a sudden downpour prevented the vehicle from catching fire. I still feel terrified now, and the travel agency's ability to handle emergencies is extremely poor.

Top rated tour operator with expert guide, John!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Unforgettable Safari Experience with Guide John!
Our Jungle Roam Safari was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the real highlight of the trip was our tour guide, John. His deep knowledge of the local wildlife, keen eye for spotting animals, and friendly, professional demeanor made the entire experience both educational and exciting.
John went out of his way to ensure we had the best views and photo opportunities, while also keeping everyone safe and comfortable throughout the journey. His passion for nature is infectious, and he shared fascinating facts about the animals and ecosystem that really enriched the tour.
We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, and so much more—all in their natural habitat. The memories we made on this safari will stay with us forever. If you're planning a safari adventure, I highly recommend Jungle Roam Safari—and definitely ask for John as your guide!
