Impressive gorilla tour with Paul
Paul perfectly organized our 3-day tour to the mountain gorillas in Bwindi National Park. He gave us a lot of insights into the life and culture of Ugandans, the hotel he chose in Bwindi was very nice, not far from the gate, very good food and service and a great view over the mountain rainforest to the Virunga volcanoes. Paul has an excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna and we will definitely book him again on our next trips to Uganda.
We can unreservedly recommend Paul because we have always felt safe, he drives carefully and has also strictly adhered to the hygiene regulations. We would love to come back to Uganda

1st Time Safari - Excellent Experience - Amazing Photographic Guide and Expert!!!
My husband and I booked our first safari with Legends after our friend Kevin, recommended them. He went on a photographic safari with them in March. With the help of Shaheen we were able to get our photographic safari planned and booked for the end of April. Shaheen was so responsive, always answered our inquiries quickly. We booked a photographic safari, and stayed 3 nights at Elephant Plains and 4 nights at MalaMala. Pravir our photographic guide was with us at both reserves. We were with 3 other photographers at MalaMala, but at Elephant Plains we were the only ones and Shaheen managed to get us a private car. We appreciated Pravir's knowledge as a guide and as our photographic guide. His knowledge of both made our trip so memorable and the best it could possibly be. Both lodges were excellent and the sightings diverse, saw all the Big Five and more! We have and would recommend Legend Safari's to anyone! Booking a safari for a first-timer is so mind boggling when you look at all the information that is out there. Legend Safari's made the process very easy. We were able to get some great specials because of Covid. I highly recommend to go this year!

Unexpected adventure
We wanted to enjoy Africa a long time ago. We finally decided. Before deciding on a safari company, we contacted at least 8 companies. Gosheni was very responsive, responded quickly to all emails, and helped resolve any issues. I really enjoyed the communication with the manager Pendo. The price was OK. Also, payment for the safari was not required 30 days in advance, as some other companies. Pendo also helped with the purchase of the necessary air tickets for the onward trip.
We choose a 5 day safari from Arusha. Our route was Arusha - Tarangire NP - Serengeti NP (2 days) - Ngorongoro - Manjara NP - Arusha. Also, the accommodation offered by Gosheni was super - close to the Luxury level .........
There is a separate story about our safari guide Ombeni ...... It was just super and unique ..... Very understanding and knowledgeable in all things both know how to tell about animals, nature and plants. We wondered how we can drive a car at the same time, find animals on the road, tell us all kinds of stories and still enjoy it all .......... For these 5 days we got a lot of new information about Africa together and its animals and nature. During the safari I really enjoyed the lunch, which was organized in the national parks outdoors in that restaurant ...... We saw the "Big Five". We didn't even feel the time of the pandemic. In fact, it was even much freer than at other times ...... Fewer people. It was possible to move freely in the park. There were 2 people in the car ...... It was super .....
Thanks Gosheni Safaris and personally Pendo and Ombeni ... :)) The price paid repeatedly corresponded to what we saw and enjoyed ........
Of course we will recommend Gosheni to our friends and acquaintances ......
Highly recommend Gosheni Safari and guide Ombeni !!
Rating in 10 points system 11 .....
Thank you

Two days filled with impressions
The trip to Tanzania will be remembered by me and my friends for a long time. We have never had such a bright journey before.
When we were going to Zanzibar, we knew right away that we had to go on safari.
Our choice fell on Uhuru Travel & Tours and we did not lose.
Abdullah selected the optimal program for us for 2 days. Always available via WhatsApp for coordination and always very responsive.
A huge thank you to him, his entire team and our funny guide-driver who accompanied us all the days of the safari.
Our first day on safari turned out to be more vivid, perhaps. Our small group was the first to discover the pride of the lion, which had not been seen by the others for several days. A rich program, a stop for the night at a hotel in the Mikumi Park, and most importantly, we managed to see almost all the animals.
It was a bright trip, well organized. Getting to know Tanzania was a great experience.
Thank you very much!

Jong was excellent in communication, the safari went all well. Vincent was our driver, he was responsible and professional. Fairmont Mt Kenia Safari Club was the best accomodation, we loved most and even visited the animal orphrange.

Lovely safari with a reliable company
We travelled to Kenya last year and the safari was great! We booked a 9 day 8 nights safari, our guide was Mike. Mike was very knowleageble about animals, and showed us best places to see animals. He always find the best place to do shotshoot before other cars, drive stablly, very experienced and nice to everyone. We loved our accomodation for the whole safari, very luxury and comfortable, unique experience from other countries. We heard lion roaring in the night, it was very excited. Thank you for the best memory in Kenya.

Attentive and professional
We are an older couple visiting our son and his family who live and work in Kampala. We will be here for several months so we expect to take several short excursions around Uganda while we’re here. I researched tour companies, selected what I believed to be the five best suited to provide what we wanted, and I contacted them, asking for itinerary proposals. Of the five Grassrootz was by far the most responsive and professional, and their representative here in Kampala, Anne, provided us with exactly what we wanted at a very competitive price. Although they were not the least expensive, I felt they were definitely the most professional, and I was confident in my choice.
Our first excursion included my wife and me plus our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. We did a five day trip to Murchison Falls with Moses as our driver and guide. We were booked at the Murchison River Lodge which we found to be adequate to our needs, but not luxurious. It was quite acceptable. During our stay we did two game drives, a guided game walk, river cruises both upstream to the falls and downstream to the delta, and a drive to the top of the falls.
Although we were very happy with Grassrootz overall I have given them only four stars instead of five for what we felt was one shortcoming in their service. It is true that due to Covid 19 tourism in Uganda has been severely impacted, and lodges and services are only now recovering. As a result we felt that Grassrootz was not quite on top of the situation existing at Murchison Falls which impacted our overall experience. Highway and bridge construction through the park has seriously limited access to the game tracks north of the river, and the river is at perpetual flood stage due to a disastrous water management project. Bridge construction combined with discontinuation of ferry service due to flooding severely limited our ability to do game drives at optimal times as our lodge was on the south bank of the river. The flooding of the river has not only closed the hiking trail from the base to the top of the falls, but it has completely drowned the delta causing much of the birdlife that was there to relocate. I will reserve comment on these joint Chinese/Ugandan projects other than to say that I fear for the future of the park. In any case, I believe Grassrootz should have been more aware of the situation at Murchison, and they should have provided us with this information ahead of time.
In spite of this I continue to have confidence in Anne, and I look forward to working with her in planning more short excursions in Uganda during our prolonged stay. She has already given us a proposal for a trip to Lake Mburo and Kibale which we expect to do next. I believe Grassrootz is a five star operation with quality people, so I will continue to utilize their services, and I will write off our experience at Murchison Falls as just one more casualty of the Covid pandemic.
