Pilanesberg Safari Day Tour

Wonderful Safari Tour
We have booked Jocky Tours & Safaris as it seemed the best price for the value, and it indeed fulfilled our expectations.
We have done 6 days of Safari and visited 3 locations. Each day we have seen many animals and took some amazing photos.
Our guide, Jeff, was always accomodating to our needs and wishes and is very knowledgeble about the animals and their way of living.
The accomodation at all three locations was pleasant, there was a variety of food offered for each meal.
Overall was the safari tour very enjoyable experience, I would certainly highly recommend Jocky Tours & Safaris and their guide Jeff!!!

Amazing Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari
Imelda did such a great job of organizing our Kenyan Safari for us that we asked her to organize one in Tanzania as well. She prepared a 5 day, 4 night custom, private tour with 2 nights at Serena Serengeti and 2 nights at Serena Ngorongoro and it was wonderful. Jojo with Shidolya tours was our guide and driver and he was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. He was amazing at finding animals. We saw a mother cheetah with 2 babies, 4 Leopards, many Lions including 2 sets with Cubs, elephants, jackets, hyenas, giraffes, buffalo, hippo, zebra and so many birds. The lodges were both lovely. Both rooms were nice and had balconies, the views at Ngorongoro were amazing. The food was good at both places with vegetarian options for us. The people were friendly and helpful. Everything went as planned with no problems. On the last day Jojo dropped us off and helped us catch a bus to Kondoa. We would highly recommend Dream Africa Tours, Shidolya tours, Imelda and Jojo.

The hot air balloon ride and champagne breakfast, the relaxing lodge and attentive staff, the experience and professional guide, and most importantly…the animals! We submitted a request to Safari Bookings a little over a month in advance of our trip to South Africa. Within a day of submitting the request, Janine from Gems of Africa responded to our inquiry with multiple options available that met our initial parameters. Throughout the correspondence, Janine was very prompt in her responses to me, even with the time change. She was able to provide great insight and I felt like with the information we were provided, we were able to make the right decision for our vacation. Upon booking our stay with Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve, Janine provided us with detailed instructions on where to go and when we needed to arrive at our destination. The experience we had at Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve - staying at the Kuganha Luxury Tented Camp felt like the right price that we were quoted/charged by Gems of Africa. If we return to South Africa in the future and need to book another safari, I will be working with Gems of Africa again!

Our first safari was a wonderful and unique experience thanks to the tour operator and especially the guide (Greetings to Abdalla).
The 3 day tour to Tsao Est and Amboseli with 2 nights accommodation exceeded all our expectations.
Our guide was very well organized and always ready to help with our concerns. Thanks to him we also saw animals that we would not have seen otherwise (Leopard). We enjoyed flora and fauna. In this sense

Professional, helpful and reliable. I booked a 4 day Manyeleti safari and it was great.
I travelled in the safari shuttle from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit. It was a long 6 hour drive but but not boring.
There are other guests to talk to and some interesting stops along the way including a stop at a quaint farm stall where you can also buy refreshments and local produce.
When we arrived at the Kamogelo center in Hoedspruit my guide Mpho was waiting for me. My real safari adventure began as we entered the Manyeleti game reserve. We were welcomed by velvet monkeys, Nyala buck and baboons. I had a sense of wild excitement.
I was told Manyeleti (place of the stars) is geographically part of Kruger but the area of land known as Manyeleti is owned by the Mnisi tribe and the reserve is managed separately by the local tourism authority. I stayed at the Main camp. They have camping facilities as well as chalets and some dodgy fencing. Main camp is a bit raw and wild. If you like luxury, fancy lawns and fountains, main camp is not for you. If you like raw and authentic it is. Even though some buildings were dilapidated the main structures such as the chalets, restaurant and pool area were in good condition.
The game drives were fantastic. We saw a pride of lions, bull elephants facing off at the dam, crocodile at the waters edge and some hippos. Manyeleti is a vast reserve and there are times you can drive for several minutes without seeing anything other than the landscape. But sooner or later there will be surprise such as a leopard in a tree or large groups of antelope.
Birdlife is also abundant. At camp i enjoyed watching the blue wax bills hopping around and i was delighted to see the famous yellow billed hornbill. One night a hyena came into the camp and caused some consternation among guests.
I enjoyed all elements of my safari. The accommodation was basic but comfortable. But most importantly things that need to work such as hot water, lights and refrigeration did work. My guide Mpho was also great.
The booking process and organization of my safari was also smooth and professional.
I can recommend Manyeleti as an authentic safari experience with excellent game viewing.
