Extraordinary once in a lifetime experience
5/5

Our safari with Waldon was extraordinary. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, caring, patient and motivated to give us a great time from minute one until the end. Serengeti took our breath - the endlessness of the park, the vast amount and diversity of animals… We didn‘t expect to see every animal so our joy about ending up seeing a leopard in the tree with his prey, a cheetah family, and lions mating in front of us (I‘m not kidding) was even bigger! We would recommend a safari with Avocet to anyone - we cannot think of a better value for money. Keep your expectations low and you will have a once in a lifetime experience.

Easy to book, communicates well, amazing price for what is offered.
5/5

Gosheni Safaris is truly one of a kind and will come highly recommended to all my friends. Each day, our amazing guide, Ombeni, would tell us the plan for the day. He easily spots animals that blend with the bush.

Our first day in Serengeti, we saw the Big 5! He has been a guide for years so he communicates with other guides to give us the best chance of seeing every animal. The following day we literally drove through the Great Migration. He was patient when we wanted to take pictures or just take in the sights. Never did I feel rushed or on a timeline.

The lunches were all delicious. Each day we got a hot soup with an actual warm meal. Not a sandwich or a cold meal. We had wine and cold soft drinks available throughout the drive as well.

The accommodation choices we booked were each unique and truly one of a kind. Each place makes you feel like as if you are the only guest.

If you’re looking for an amazing safari where you are taken care of from your pick up to the drop off, do not hesitate to book with Gosheni. You won’t regret it!

Incredible Family Experience from start to finish
5/5

Axis Africa delivered on every level from ease of booking, communication, value for money, quality, family friendly and flexibility.

We were a group of 6 on a private tour - a family with a 2.5 year old and a 3month old baby. Travelling with young children can be difficult but Axis were so accommodating and answered all our questions prior to booking with ease and clarity which was really reassuring. Axis were able to provide us with a car seat for the toddler and we brought our own for the baby. Our guide Kikatou could not have been more amazing if he tried- he treated us like family and knew safety of the little ones while on the road was important to us. He was so flexible with timings always checking what worked for us and the children but also making us aware of what the best options were so we didn't miss out on anything.
We certainly didn't miss a thing thanks to his amazing knowledge of the land and nature - seeing everything we could have hoped for and more. Seeing the big 5 in the wild really is something. Not only did we get up close to all the animals in the wild but we were also taught so much from Kikatou. No question went unanswered whether it was about the land, the animals, the culture or the places we visited. We had the trip of a lifetime and can't thank Kikatou enough he really made it memorable.

All of the accommodation booked by Axis was extremely accommodating and fully prepped for our arrival cots, spare beds and other requests were ready and waiting meaning we just turned up and enjoyed the experience. The hotels were all lovely, extremely clean, great service and good food which was all included and of great variety for everyone. The drive from each reserve was quite long however there was plenty to look at and Kikatou kept us entertained with interesting information whilst also allowing us space to talk amongst ourselves.
The overall experience was incredible! Value for money - We all said it was the best money we have ever spent. Our 2.5 year old has talked about her adventure and all the animals non stop since we returned as have we.

Incredible safari experience - highly recommended.
5/5

We recently (April, 2022) enjoyed a 6-day wild life safari in the African bush. We’re happy to share our impressions of this wonderful experience, especially with anyone planning or considering something similar.
All arrangements, bookings, etc. were made through Greatest Africa. Vanessa Walker was our personal travel consultant, and she provided exceptional service and assistance every step of the way!
We spent 3 nights each at Motswari Lodge and Kapama Buffalo Camp. These are private game parks, separate and independent, located in the greater Kruger National Park area.
Both provided first class service overall, and are absolutely 5 star destinations in every respect. Following comments apply to both/either of these Camps.
Food. Tasty, nutritious, ethnic/local and international cuisines. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
Drinks. Wide selection of local juices, wines, beers, and local/international spirits.
Meals were served in beautiful boma type environment.
Game drives. Each safari vehicle (customized Land Rovers) allowed a maximum of 6 guests per vehicle, and was staffed with 2 knowledgeable and experienced rangers/trackers. Each drive (2 per day) was approx 3 hours’ duration, including early morning drives (with coffee and rusks) and sunset drives (with tasty snacks and sundowner drinks, each day an impromptu stop somewhere romantic or idyllic, to watch the sun set over the African horizon.) There are never guarantees when it comes to game spotting, but we were very fortunate to see the Big 5, as well as many other animal species, on numerous occasions. Thank you to the very professional “bush” staff.
Accommodation. Private, secluded, stand-alone, suites (some tented type, and others rigid structures, but all glamping at its best) all with AC, king sized beds, luxury indoor/outdoor bathrooms, mostly thatched roofs and often built in African, rondavel style architecture.
We could ramble on and on describing all the features. But, in summary, this was a memory making experience. Without any doubt our recommendation is to go ahead, indulge yourself, it’s worth every penny spent.
Thank you to Greatest Africa, for your wonderful service and excellent advice.

About: Topy Tours
The staff was very friendly and helpfull
5/5

The communication was always easy and everything went according to the expected. As soon as we arrived Jackson was waiting for us and everytime we needed something he always helped us, even with a flight problem we had. Tour guide and cook were also very nice and friendly. The only aspect they could improve is the amount of meat/fish per meal that should be more.
A very good experience.

Seriousness, Competence, Prudence, Kindness: Extraordinary journey
5/5

We have barely been back for 8 days and still can't manage to take down the hundreds of photos that the CHALEMA SAFARIS agency allowed us to take during these 8 days of safari. (1900 in all).

A 9-day trip to the 4 most important parks with one of CHALEMA's best employees and guide: Chabani.

A 28-year-old young man who knows all the corners, all the tracks, all the water points from Tarangiré to Nogorongoro and who leads you for sure to the place where the lions take a nap, or the hippos bathe, to the tree where the leopard languishes. This guide, known to all the others, is really a little prodigy of the savannah!

Would give 6 stars if we could, 100% recommended ★
5/5

We booked a tour for Amboseli and Tsavo East, we stayed at Kibo Safari Camp and Salt Lick Lodge. Everything was arranged perfectly, also with regards to some allergies I have - Tammy passed on everything and everything was taken into account by the hotel managers.

Our driver, Morris, was amazing too! He knew a lot about the environment and all the animals, was very kind and helpful and helped us spot almost all animals we wished for (unfortunately, the leopard stayed hidden..). Before, during and after the trip we had contact with Tammy during WhatsApp, and she even came to visit us at the end of our trip to check if everything was okay.

We already recommended Tammy Tours to our friends in real life, but once again online as well: if you're looking for a perfect safari, this is your place to be!

The BEST of the best!
5/5

Bernhard & Hennie Bekker deliver it ALL! From the moment we arrived at Kruger, they worked their magic and made our private safari one of the BEST vacations we have had...EVER!

The Bekker brothers know Kruger. They know where the animals are and are masters at finding them and getting the safari vehicle in the perfect position to get amazing photos. Their knowledge of the myriad of species in Kruger is impressive; they have their iPad ready to go, so in the rare event they do not know the species, they look it up!! Both are accomplished photographers so really know how to work with the light to give you the best chance at nailing the perfect photo. Their open safari vehicle is a photographer's dream, equipped with mounted tripods and bean bags. And their ability to spot animals constantly amazed my husband and myself. They seriously must have 10/10 vision...lol.

We spent 6 amazing days in 2 locations ; Satara and Skukuza. And we saw it all...lions, Casper the white lion, leopards, wild dogs, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hyena, black-backed jackals, dozens of bird species, and even a flap-necked chameleon! Every day we were more amazed than the day before; it was a safari photographers and animal lovers dream.

Traveling from the U.S. with the current chaos with air travel, we had 2 flights cancelled and ended up getting to the park 2 days late. Bernhard and Hennie took care of the reservation changes needed in the park making our delay no big deal. They were even able to extend our trip with them 2 extra days to make up for the days we missed due to our cancelled flights. They picked us up at Skukuza Airport, and also picked up a 600mm lens I had rented from Hilton Kotze with Africa Photographic Services so it was ready for me to use as soon as we arrived. Bernhard even met us in the park at the end of our trip (we spent an additional 12 days on our own in the park) to retrieve the lens so I didn't have to deal with returning it.

If you are considering a safari trip to South Africa, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Private Kruger Safaris. This was our 2nd trip with them, we will most definitely be back, and I wouldn't consider using anyone else. They really are the BEST of the best!!

Amazing trip made by an amazing guide
5/5

We had an incredible adventure that is difficult to capture in words. Firstly our guide, Andrew, was not only a fountain of knowledge on wildlife and local culture (being half Masai himself) he was also very kind, humble and funny sharing many great stories with us over a cold beer. He went the extra mile to make sure we had the best experience and we left with the feeling we’d made a good friend. Secondly, we had the chef par excellence, Abdullah, who made sure we had delicious food every day and were the envy of other tour groups.

Coming from South Africa I’ve done a lot of safaris but this was extra special, and I’d recommend it to anyone that wants an adventure with kind, knowledgable and thoughtful guides. You won’t regret going worth Wakanda that’s for sure!
