About: Fede Tours
Fantastic, well organised safari!
5/5

We had a 7 day safari in Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Martin from Fede Tours was brilliant. Everything ran smoothly. We were amazed as to how many animals we saw. This was made more interesting by all the information Martin could tell us about them. Martin was very friends and patient and went out of his way to seek animals which we wanted to see. He was also flexible with the schedule and timings of the safari, tailoring them to our needs/wishes. Definitely value for money! It was an experience of a lifetime and I would definitely recommend this tour operator.

Great itinerary and guides, and but a couple things need to be tightened up.
4/5

Generally, for less than a two week trip, the itinerary was perfect to get a great flavor and feel for what South Africa has to offer. Essentially the first week is for a Safari out of Johannesburg with the second portion being a number of days in Cape Town. We cannot say enough great things about the guides and drivers at all locations. Top notch! They went above and beyond what could have been expected catering to our schedule and “off tour” trips and experiences.
The price was really a great value considering all that was included. You get to see and do so much. For a ten day tour, you come away feeling that you have accomplished a lot of what you need to say you have seen and gotten a feel for South Africa.
However, there are a couple things which need to be tightened up to make this a true five star experience. There is no way to say this that doesn’t sound like an entitled tourist, but here goes. The bar set up at Hamala Lodge has to be updated to service its guests. One example. on the first morning of our several day Safari tour based at the Humala River Lodge, one of our party ordered a Bloody Mary. The bartender, a great young gentleman named Blessing, could not have been more accommodating and was able to make several Bloody Marys. The other half of the group also staying in the Hamala River Lodge at the same time, heard our order and also ordered Bloody Marys. Turned out that the 6–7 Bloody Marys completely wiped out the bar’s ability to make Bloody Marys for the rest of our stay. It would appear to be a very easy fix to have either a greater supply of Bloody Mary mix available to the bar or have someone run out the approximately 45 minutes – one hour to the town right outside the reserve to resupply the bar with Bloody Mary mix. Again, not a big deal, but such an easy fix.
The seafood restaurant for lunch in Cape Town prior to the boat tour should be deleted from the itinerary. It’s a tourist trap with no real flavor or anything special to either Africa or Cape Town. A more traditional African restaurant would be a much better option.
More importantly, there was some transfer issues that, again, would appear to be easily addressed and corrected. On the first day on our arrival from the US following a 14 hour flight, 9 passengers were transported from the airport in an 8 passenger van to the Seasons Resort. The last thing I needed was to have to sit on an armrest of the van for about the hour transfer to the Resort following that long flight. Again, not. a deal breaker, but Go Touchdown knew how many would be on the transfer, and could easily have provided more suitable transportation.
Lastly, one of group was completely left off the flight to Cape Town. Fortunately, we caught the error and we’re able to have the fourth person in our group added to the flight. Inexplicably, that same person was given a different flight back from Cape Town to Johannesburg. We were unable to get them on our same flight. They had to take a much later flight which was delayed causing a big rush in Johannesburg to make the flight home. Lastly, and again, as all the flight arrangements had to be left to Go Touchdown, and particularly after leaving this person off the flight to Cape Town, not having them booked on the same flight as the rest of our party to Johannesburg is just inexcusable.

Exceptionally helpful, accommodating, and well-organized
5/5

Peak Cruise Safaris was extremely helpful and communicative before I booked the trip. They answered all of my questions, were patient while I made my decisions, and gave me multiple payment options. During the trip, everything was perfectly arranged in accordance with my itinerary. All of the arrangements were made for me, there was no hassle at any of the hotels, parks, or restaurants. Peak Cruise took very good care of me. Special thanks to the organizer, Jennifer, and the driver, Abdul. They were a pleasure to work with and provided a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

My entire experience with Odyssey Safaris was amazing! They did a great job of organizing the trip and making it an unforgettable time. My driver David was especially great during the safari portion of the trip. During the hike of Mount Kenya our guides were phenomenal especially Kim, Sammi, and Bonnie

Excellent
5/5

We didn’t do anything except swipe the card and show up, all the rest was done by the team.
Very profesional and informative.
I wanted to visit Serengeti safari since 7 years now and decided to simply take one day safari tour from Zanzibar as we were vacationing there at the time. They were so kind to gift us an over night stay at the tent/camp side with dinner and breakfast included which was super generous of them. As if they knew that we will get super tired from all the excitement of seeing the wild life. ☺️

Immanuel was awesome through the whole safari!
5/5

My husband and I chose to go on a safari to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a great choice to make! We chose Lion King tours because they offered everything we wanted at a reasonable price. Our tour guide Immanuel was so knowledgeable about all the animals and plants we encountered. If he didn't know something he had the resources to look it up. He took us all around the Serengeti where we saw so many beautiful and sometimes very rare animals. When he found out it was our anniversary Immanuel even arranged to have a cake brought to our table by the joyously singing wait staff. Our accomodations were exactly what we wanted as well. We had such wonderful time on our adventure.

Great tour and best people.
5/5

We are very happy that we chose this company. We spent a great time on Safari in Mikumi Park and Udzungwa Moutains. We saw all the animals including a lion and had an adventure with elephants that were one meter from our car.

The people working for this company are great. We highly recommend.

Great two day trip in Tarangire Park and Ngorongoro Crater. We had excellent driver with decades of experience in the field. Night stay in Lake Manyara camp site was pure luxury in the middle of nature.

Thanks Lion King. Immanuel is the best!
5/5

This experience was a bucket list item, so we had very high expectations. This trip far exceeded those.

Our guide, Immanuel, was wonderful. He was eager to show us everything, and to explain what we were seeing. It was about more than the "big 5" for us so he never hesitated to stop when we asked to take a picture of simply to be in the moment. We did get to see the 5 by the way!

More than that, we learned about Immanuel, Tanzanian culture, and he patiently listened to our stories of our homeland.

We explored Massai and Hadzabe tribal villages and shared those experiences. We learned that there is a lot of water in the Serengeti, even in the dry season. We saw elephants challenge hyenas, hippos fight each other, a leopard eating wildebeest in a tree, part of the wildebeest migration as they stampeded across the road, over 25 lions over a few days eating zebra and sleeping, 5 cheetahs, and three black rhinos.

Beyond that, Immanuel answered every question: "what is that tree; what are they selling; what was that bird; etc." So many questions from us, all answered patiently, and sometimes more than once.

What we will remember is the little things, though. Laughing and joking with Immanuel enhanced or experience. He even got lodge staff to bake us an anniversary cake and sing us a song. We mentioned our anniversary in passing the first day.

Sitting on the deck in front of a tent inside the Serengeti, drinking white wine, or sitting around a fire and meeting other travelers. There is just too much "amazing" to discuss.

A trip of a lifetime!
