Exceeded Expectations
5/5

Safari: This bucket list adventure was well worth the trip! Kenya was the place to do it and June was a lovely month. Even from our first 5 minutes into Maasai Mara, we saw a parade of elephants which was magical! Guides in the parks connect on walkie talkies and make sure they communicate on where animals are. They all support each other and were very friendly. We saw SO much wildlife - it was incredible! Having a nice camera is good, but nothing too extravagant is necessary. Phones work well for pics and videos, too!
Guide: Our guide, Richie, made the trip! He made us feel comfortable and prioritized us getting the best experience. He shared nice binoculars with us, taught us so much about Kenya, cultures and traditions, and the animals and plants. He was well-liked and regarded by other guides and helpful when cruisers got stuck in mud. We were so grateful for his knowledge, professionalism and friendship.
Vehicle: We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our cruiser was. Each night, Richie cleaned the outside and inside. There was so much space and it was perfect out on the game drives. We loved having a private tour to be able to spread out our things and move to different seats. On our long game drives, it honestly didn’t feel like we were in a vehicle for hours. It was fun to switch between standing and sitting.
Food: I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were fed very well and the meals provided were sufficient. We didn’t see a need for snacks since we were given large and delish meals (consisting of protein like chicken and/or beef, vegetable, rice or ugali, chapati, and usually fresh fruit for dessert. Places had beer, wine, coffee, juice, and more.
Accommodations: Staff at campsites were fabulous and friendly. We appreciated the high quality service at each location. Campsites were more like ‘glamping’ and it was nice to have a real toilet and shower connected to the tent. Hotels were very nice! Happy with the options and supposed with how nice the budget option was that we selected. We were worried about bugs, but they weren’t even an issue.

Overall, I would recommend this to people who are open to immersing themselves into and love learning about other cultures. Those interested in flora and fauna will enjoy all that you will see. If you want a more personal tour, go with a group and get a private tour. We appreciated the communication from
Alex and the company throughout the booking process. The price was perfect for what it was. Thank you!

Good value, great experience!
5/5

MoAfrika offers good tour packages in Johannesburg, and I joined the Full Day Ultimate Open Safari tour at Pilanesberg National Park. The customer service was helpful and responsive when I asked about the differences of packages, and they're very patient with my questions.

The tour included return trip to Pilanesberg National Park, lunch as well as the park fees, so you don't have to worry about paying anything during the tour.

Our tour guide/ranger - Wisdom, is a very nice guy, he shared some info about the wildlife, and he's good at spotting animals..We managed to see white rhino, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, hippo, etc..We did received some info about lion and cheetahs, however, we didn't get to see them..Wisdom did all he could to hopefully look for the animals though, thanks for his hard work..

We also went to two photo spots for some photos, specifically the water hole area is nice, though none of the animals was there for water at that time..still nice to see and enjoy the scenery though..

Overall a great experience! A must do if you're in Johannesburg and you only have limited time and not able to visit other bigger national park.. Pilanesberg is great a a 1 and 2-day trip!

Perfect
5/5

I had the most incredible experience on this safari everything was absolutely perfect. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and thanks to his experience, we were able to see so many animals up close in their natural habitat. The chef also deserves a huge shoutout every meal was delicious and added so much comfort to the trip. From start to finish, it was seamless, exciting, and unforgettable. This is an experience you simply can’t miss.

Unforgettable
5/5

Daniel and his whole team were amazing. We visited Bahir Dar, Gondar and Lalibela and Daniel organized our domestic flights and accommodation. The hotels where we stayed were wonderful and even though we had trouble with delayed luggage and missed flights Daniel had the patience of a saint and helped us immensely. He uses different guides at the different destinations and they were experts in their different fields. I have to mention Henok at Gondar where I celebrated my 50th birthday who made my birthday the best one ever. I highly recommend Daniel.

Very attentive and responsible, the driver made us feel safe.
5/5

They responded to us very quickly and answered every question we had! Due to budget constraints, we only booked a 4-day, 3-night itinerary, but we were still lucky enough to see the Big Five! Coming all the way from Taiwan to Kenya, our dream came true 😆 It was a wonderful experience!

Spectacular Safari Experience with Stanley at Shengena Adventure
5/5

We were blown away by our 5-day, 4-night safari experience with Shengena Adventure and our guide/driver, Stanley.

Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend Shengenad an excellent experience on safari. From the time he picked us up at the airport in the early morning to the time he dropped us off four nights later after 12 hours of driving, he made sure that we never had to worry about any inconvenience no matter how minor.

In the parks, Stanley was an expert guide and frequently noticed and identified animals before we had seen them. He was very knowledgeable about the animals’ behaviors, habitats, and relationships and helped us understand how the different pieces of the ecosystem fit together.

In addition, Stanley is an extremely capable driver. Whether navigating traffic in rush-hour Arusha or simply positioning the jeep to get the best angle for a photograph, Stanley displayed consistent driving expertise. We always felt safe with him behind the wheel. This skill truly matters when you’re in the vehicle for so many hours each day!

Above all, Stanley’s great attitude made a huge impact on our time on safari. He always had a smile on his face and his positivity was infectious.

The administrative staff and Shengena also contributed to our once-in-a-lifetime safari experience, sending multiple itineraries based on our complex travel plans. The customized itineraries made it clear exactly what sites we’d see each day and where we’d be staying each night. When lodging fell through at the last minute, they helped us book alternative accommodations without missing a beat.

Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend Shengena Adventure if you want a truly magical experience and great support through every step along the way.

A dedicated service which goes above and beyond expectations
5/5

Our safari with Loren was outstanding in every way. From the pick up at Kilimanjaro airport to the departure from Zanzibar, Loren looked after all our arrangements without a hitch. Every day was planned to make the most of our time tracking animals and learning about them. We saw a huge range of wildlife including the Wildebeest migration across the Masi Mara river. Accommodation and food was of a high standard and we enjoyed the treats in our cooler box in the Jeep. You won’t be disappointed if you book with this company and you will be supporting the local economy .

Thank you for the memories 🥰
5/5

I have to say that I wasn't an easy customer this time... I missed a flight and the one that actually took me to Johannesburg was 2h late. Ruben was super flexible from the beginning and found solutions to all my issues super fast. One of the best customer care I came across in my travels. Ruben contacted me every day with additional details or just for a quick feedback of the day.
Everything was as advertised, super well organised, pick-ups and drop offs, all the drivers are super helpful and chatty, the safari tours were amazing.
The guides were enjoying the tours just as much as we did.
Or guide for the full day Kruger experience was Eddie. Great guy, super funny, used all the tricks he new to show us as much as possible, he actually found a leopard for our group, woow.
100% reliable, great value for money, amazing service.
