We had a great experience with Afro Dawn. Our guide Isabella was awesome and helped us with every little detail. We did not have to worry about anything. We booked all our excursions with Afro Dawn. She was very responsive and accommodating to our every need.
Perfect camping safari experience
This safari and experience was fantastic! We’ve both been on previous safaris and we were very, very impressed with both our guide and chef that accompanied us the entire safari. Our chef Mussa accommodated three different food allergies and preferences among a group of six like a total pro. The food was incredible - multiple courses for every meal, each of which was delicious — we always left meals extra full and satisfied. Our guide Damien was lighthearted, fun, knowledgeable about all the animals, and always positioned the vehicle in the exact right spot for best viewing and photo opportunities. He clearly knew many of the other guides and companies and was often getting intel on where to find the hardest-to-spot animals. Both Mussa and Damien had phenomenal attitudes, carried such joy, and were incredibly hard workers. This was incredibly reasonably priced for a 5-day safari, although do note this trip encompasses four nights of camping. The campsites in general were beautiful and clean, but the Serengeti location lacked hot water. Alas, you’re sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti which is an incredible experience in and of itself! We didn’t sleep a wink during our night at the Ngorongoro campsite due to Buffalo grazing and sniffing right around our tent but we’d do it again in a heartbeat because that was so cool!!!! Mussa and Damien made the trip what it was. I’d choose Suricata again any day. Don’t hesitate to book!! :))

Reliable and professional company.
We loved our safari. In the months leading up to the safari African Big Cats was very helpful and responsive to all emails. Helped us select the best Safari for our time in Tanzania. We did a private 5 day 4 night comfort safari. We started at Tarangire National park, then Ngorongoro Crater, then two days in the Serengeti, then Lake Manyara on our way back to Arusha. Our accommodations at Eileen’s trees inn and Embalakai Camps we both excellent.
I would definitely recommend staying two days in the Serengeti. And Lake Manyara is lacking but we did have a cool elephant encounter there, otherwise I would skip that stop. Our guide Ernest was excellent and very knowledgeable, we saw it all and enjoyed our time together! Such a memorable trip. I recommend a camera with a good lens, as you will have many opportunities for excellent pictures.

Wonderful and amazing
Really fabulous. It exceeded all my expectations. I hired Gorillas and Beyond Safaris. I had an excellent guide and driver, Baluku, and I was able to see lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, rhinos, zebras and hippos up close, in addition to enjoying the tracking of gorillas and chimpanzees and the wonderful boat ride through the Kazinga channel. All the hotels were excellent, as was the food. I thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. I insist: they fulfilled everything and exceeded my expectations.

Beautiful country, fantastic people and spectacular animals
We had a great time! Thoroughly enjoyed the people, the parks, the mini-safaris and the country. Saw some spectacular animals - elephants, cheetah, leopard, lion, giraffe, zebras, hippos, rhinos, crocs and too many antelope and birds to count. The weather was great. Nairobi and Mombasa were fun. We definitely are going back!
