We had a great experience with Colours Africa. They replied swiftly to any queries we had and were always ready to help with any issues we had even if they didn’t pertain to the tour booked with them.
The guide and cook they provided were wonderful. The food was amazingly tasty and the guide very knowledgeable and he managed to show us most animals we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend this operator as we had a smooth and good experience with them!

Wonderful tour, excellent operator!
Daniel is very good at replying swiftly with a lot of helpful information. Once I told him my interests and availabilities he readily put together a schedule that perfectly reflected what I wanted to do. He was always available for additional help and gave quite a few very valuable tips.
Once I got to Zambia, he was also my guide and showed extensive knowledge of the country, its people and its flora and fauna. He would catch even the most hidden of animals and be able to tell you a lot about them. Additionally, he took great care of his guests regarding food and accommodation and noticeably put a great effort toward making sure everybody would leave happy. I would do a tour with him again without thinking twice and warmly recommend him!

Wild Portraits Safaris is the best of the best in all aspects!
I have been on multiple photography tours, both to Africa and other places, and let me just say that the photography tour that I just took with Wild Portraits Safaris (WPS) ranks up there with the best of the best. Everything about the trip was simply spot on perfect. From the very beginning communications, through a need for me to reschedule (my own fault, not theirs), through to the final minutes of the tour...everything was smooth, easy, well-communicated and perfectly executed. I went to Amboseli, Lake Naivashu, and the Mara. I was set up in great accommodations, with special consideration on making sure that we were able to get out into the field in the shortest amount of time. A few things that set WPS apart from other tours. First is the ability to personalize the tour to your interests. Unlike other safari tours with set schedules and specifically timed-itineraries, just let James, the owner/driver/ tour guide, know your interests and he'll continually plan and look out for opportunities and present options to you. For me, he knew I was interested in experiencing as much as possible, so he made sure that we had all day game drives while in the Mara. Second is the fact that James is an excellent photographer, himself. That means that he is constantly looking for the perfect lighting, angle, and composition to hep you get your best photos. Third, you cannot find any tour guide with as much passion for his job. This has led him to learn as much as possible about the land, the conservation efforts, the animals and how all of the factors integrate with each other. Each day wasn't just a photo tour: each day was an immersive learning experience. You definitely can't find a tour company that tries as hard as WPS to make sure that you get every ounce of opportunities in the short time that you are there. For instance, he added an impromptu visit to Nairobi National Park, because I had a lot of extra time before my outbound flight. And lastly, James is an extremely nice person. If you go on safari with WPS, you'll leave with tons of photos, memories, and a friend. I've already planned my next trip with WPS.

Exceptional
After several weeks of looking for quotes with other agencies, we finally came across safari avventura, which is a local agency. This defies all competition at all levels (price, services, insurance). We went on a safari with our French-speaking guide Calvin who was an exceptional guide, speaks French very well, looks for the best places to see the animals, capture rare moments (hunting for example). He cares about you in any situation. The lodges reserved by safari avventura are incredible, in terms of comfort, staff, food… Then we had our mountain guide David who accompanied us for Kilimanjaro who is a patient, pleasant, always smiling guide. And finally a local guide Johnson for the village of Moshi rich in culture and discovery an extraordinary trip with safari avventura do not hesitate any longer.

Great organization, fantastic company
Everything was really well arranged for my tour. I kind of booked last minute (3 weeks before arriving), but Peter made sure he also arranged the items I did not even look into yet. What I really enjoyed was the combination of luxury and community lodges on the road. It was not Peter, but Derrick who went with me as a guide and he was wonderful company. I learned a lot about the country, the culture and Africa in general. I would (and I do) absolutely recommend this company.

Amazing experience
We had such a great time in our safari thanks to Suricata Safaris. Everything went well, the overnight stays were good as well as the food. We had Rocky as a guide and he was absolutely amazing.

Best Safari Guides, amazing!
The guide from Suricata Safari was totally amazing (his name is Rocky) and the company took good care of us all the time. They organize pickup, drop to airport, all accommodations, warm food during safari, its amazing!
We also saw lots of wildlife and got lucky to see all the Big5.

Fabulous!!!
From the very beginning when we where researching safaris, Lion King was the only one that got back to us in a timely fashion, and stuck to our budget. They provided very clear options, reminded us along the way to apply for visas, etc., and booked everything except our airfare - even all of the airport and hotel transfers. In addition to the safari, they booked us several days at two different hotels in Zanzibar (Gold Zanzibar and another in Stone Town, Maru Maru). We were able to stay in one of the new Lion King properties, Nyota - oh my goodness, this is glamping on steroids!! Indoor and outdoor showers, and each tent has it's own solar operated hot water heater! Excecellent food, gracious staff, we felt like royalty! From the planning of our trip with Pendo, to meeting the owner James at Nyota, to our fabulous guides Salehe and Gilbert and all the staff we met in between - cannot say enough about Lion King. Absolutely, hands down, the best vacation ever. Completely worry free, all the details were handled, and it all ran so smoothly. The guides were so incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the wildlife! I loved every minute, and you will too!
