East Africa Safari & Seychelles - A Magical Honeymoon
My wife and I worked with Anya Visser of Pembury Tours to craft and book our honeymoon in East Africa and Seychelles and we could not have had a more wonderful experience. Beginning more than 2 years ago, Anya worked with us to tailor an itinerary that matched exactly to the types of activities we were interested in, the resorts/camps we were looking for, all within the budget we outlined.
After COVID cancelled our trip as initially planned for Aug 2020, Anya worked hard to rebook our entire itinerary, and was able to accomplish it without a single cost increase. Leading up to the trip she prepared us well for everything we'd need on the trip, including outlining COVID requirements and coordinating tests/logistics while we were away.
Once the trip came, every detail was thought through and we felt looked after at all times. The level of service was fantastic and Anya was available at all times to answer questions and help us with anything we needed. Each camp and resort was beautiful and Anya had coordinated with each to let them know that it was our honeymoon and to set up a surprise for us. She also set us up with wonderful drivers/guides (Karato Marmo in Tanzania and Norman in Masai Mara, both of Leopard Tours).
Ultimately, it is difficult for us to overstate how great of an experience we had, and it is in large part thanks to Anya, Pembury Tours and the people and places they connected us with in Tanzania, Kenya and Seychelles. We highly recommend working with Anya and Pembury Tours.

Great trip with a professional but still personal operator and guide
We have been on a 11 day safari with Best Memory Safaris at the start of September 2021. To cut it short, overall it has been a very nice experience which did certainly fulfill our expectations.
We organized the trip on short notice just a couple of days before departure. Isaac from Best Memory Safaris has been very open to support a customer itinerary we wanted to have due to both arriving and departing by air from Mombasa. Isaac did put together a schedule which we liked and was very responsive in his communication also regarding our additional questions and requests. We also decided to go for a jeep rather than a a van, which we very much appreciated later during the trip, we certainly do suggest to take a jeep if your budget allows for it. As Isaac was also able to offer a quite competitive price we decided to get into business with him over a couple of competitors which we considered.
We have been picked up at the airport by Isaac and by our guide Anthony. We actually very much appreciated Isaac showing up and traveling from Nairobi for this purpose. We did directly pick up our trip with Anthony and moved towards Taita Hills. We continued over Camp Ziwani, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru followed by Masai Mara, Lake Naiwasha and lastly Tsavo East. I will not dive into all the great experiences we had in the parts as this would be too much for this review. We managed to see all the animals on our bucket list - big and small and also some action. We truly believe a lot of this was due to our wonderful guide Anthony, who obviously has a great amount of experience and knowledge about the parks as well as the roads and was able to spot the animals himself as well as to work with other guides to bring us to them. Clearly this was a great advantage over other guides and groups we have met on the trip. Anthony was very professional in every aspect of his work and also very concerned about Covid-19 safety which we appreciated. Likewise as our trip included multiple long distance drives we appreciated his excellent driving skills on one side but also his careful approach with safety on first place on the other. Actually considering the distances next time we certainly would take one flight from Nairobi or consider taking a local flight or train between the two in worst case. I have to mention that the attention to the jeep Anthony did exercise in terms making sure we have a full tank, balanced tire pressure and that the car is clear did help us to feel secure and relaxed. On top of the guiding and driving skills I have to say that we very much enjoyed the time Anthony as person in long talks with him about life and situation in Kenya as well as in Slovakia and the similarities and differences as well as many other topics which we touched. Thus although the drives were long we spent them pleasantly.
As in every longer trip not everything went smoothly and we had some issues. In particular Sentrim Mara was a disappointment and quite under par of other accommodations we did stay in during the trip. Not working water, pretty poor food and totally shitty internet access did make us sad. Isaac helped us to resolve the problem with water, which made the situation acceptable, even though not desirable. Likewise Setrim Tsavo East was a disappointment. We certainly would suggest to avoid these on a mid-range budget. Never the less we believe Isaac handled the situation properly and hopefully will arrange itineraries considering our feedback in the future.
We liked the trip very much, not only because of the wonderful sights and experiences in the parks but also due to professional services of our guide Anthony and the planning of Isaac. If you are up for a mid-range custom trip we certainly can recommend Best Memory Safaris. All in all this was a great trip and great value for money.

Amazing
We had a wonderful experience in Tanzania thanks to African Spoonbill. We went there in August 2021 and visited Kilimanjaro, lake Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro, and Zanzibar.
Pius Momburi was amazing, attentive and reachable. He was there whenever we needed him and would always help us out and make our stay easier. We are really glad he was there for us, as he made us feel safe and in good hands.
Both the Kilimamjaro and the safari experiences included guides and meals. The guides were friendly, responsible and knowledgeable, and they helped us deepen into the tanzanian culture and traditions. The meals were exquisit too, as we had a great variety of traditional dishes to taste as well as some international food. All the transfers were also in comfortable vehicles and kind drivers.
Overall, we would totally recommend African Spoonbill as a go to for any trip to Tanzania. They are wonderfull and will make you feel at home.

Special, unique and beautiful experience
What an amazing and once in a lifetime experience. Isa and his team provided a first hand experience of the wildlife that Botswana has offer. The knowledge, hospitality and beautiful wildlife we were offered on our trip made it very special.
One of my favourite memories was being able to see a pack of wild dogs. Isa and his partner managed to track down the den of this pack and we were able to see newly born puppies. A very special time.
Along with the amazing wildlife, the team provided excellent service and kindness to all of us. The amazing stories together with beautifully set up camping spaces made the experience even better. Offering us unique spots to watch the sun go down was special.
I would highly recommend this experience to anybody who has a passion for nature and animals. Wildlife is such a precious thing and I feel so lucky to have been able to see so many amazing animals.
Thank you to everybody involved in making this time so special. I hope to one day relive this!

Lifetime experience
We have booked individual 6-day tour. The communication was easy and profesdional from the booking time and onwards. We were met in the airport just in time. Our guide, Tomas, is an amazing, very professional and experienced guide and driver. He was always polite, ready to answer any questions, very punctual. He knows every meter in the parks, every animal and bird. He sees 360 degrees around at the same moment - he pointed to the animals we could hardly find with binoculars! Food and living were very good, everyone tried to do our vacation the best. And the safary itself was a miraculous experience! Every day was different: we saw fighting elephants, hunting cheetahs, lions bypassing the jeep... And much and much more impresssions! This was definitely a lifetime experience. We are very grateful to the guys from Migration for making our dreams come true.

An amazing company to book with!
We enjoyed our time with Axis Safari! Truly an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend this company! We travel all around the world and have amazing experiences like: diving with humpback whales in Tonga, bungee jumping and seeing the glow worms in New Zealand, diving with sharks, manta rays, and whale sharks in Hawaii and Cancun, caring for elephants in Thailand, chilling with wild kangaroos in Australia, and much more...but this trip has been our top favorite! Non stop adventure and endless experiences. It was our first trip we didn’t rent a car, and left it up to someone else to completely take control. Axis safari did an amazing job taking care of us and being our guide in Kenya! They pick you up at the hotel/airport and take care of you from there. We got to pick our lodging each night and didn’t regret one place we stayed at!
I chose our stays based on wildlife and we saw it all! First two nights we stayed at resorts, and the last 3 nights we stayed in canvas tents and got the African experience! I love adventure and enjoyed the last 3 nights staying in lodging that was in the open with animals roaming around at night, and hearing the lions roar. We saw so much on are game drives! We saw attempted hunts, animals born within mins, animals feeding on their latest kill, hyenas try to take over a lion pride, so many babies and their mamas, and saw every animal you could thing of. Everything that I imagined Africa would be, this was it! Our guide Khalifa went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable! We loved him as our guide. We enjoyed eating meals with him and laughing til we cried. We consider him family now, and he gave us an incredible 5 days! #GBT!
We packed, and brought goodies for the kids, and throughout our tour, we would stop and hand them out to the kids. We will never forget seeing those sweet smiles! The last day on our safari, we visited a Maasai Village. They greeted us and had us participate in their dance, go into their homes, and let us hand out some toys, and paint the girls toes❤️. We were also able to visit a school and hand out stickers to the kids! An experience we will never forget and will hold those memories close to our hearts! If you are still trying to figure out who to book your safari with, hopefully this review has convinced you to book with Axis Safari! The only regret I have about our trip....is not taking our 3 kids with us on this adventure! We will be back with them and want them to have the same experience we did!

Attentive and friendly
I went on this tour with 5 friends. We had an awesome time. Our guide spent the time to make sure we saw all the animals on our list. I would book with them again. 5 stars for sure.

Highly recommend
Shadrack was very easy to work with. Responsive, and helped us to customize our trip of a lifetime. Our driver/guide, Francis, was also knowledgable and funny. We enjoyed being with him.

Fantastic tour and perfectly organised in these troubled times
We picked Uganda as a substitute for a trip we had to cancel. I believe we even had a better holiday than what the original one would have been. Uganda is not a substitute, it is a Nr.1 destination! Pleunie was competent, friendly and quick to respond. We changed a standard itinerary to fit our wishes, she made some very smart alterations to my plan, which turned out to be brillant. We had to change it 2 more times (blame Covid-19). No problem for Matoke. Once in Uganda all went well, our driver Anatoli was great fun to be with, and a never ending source of information. With friends everywhere he always got us the best rangers and spots on the tours. We have traveled extensively in Africa and Uganda is the most beautiful country I have visited. The wildlife viewing may be a bit better in RSA and Botswana but you have to come see this stunning country for yourself! It is amazing and very safe !
