Excellent planning and implementation
My husband and I planned and recently completed a 5-day private safari with Wakanda. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the team members once again. Only with professional help it is possible to plan the right length in the different national parks. Our guide Felix was unbelievably great, he was there for us the whole day, told us everything we needed to know about the animals and was simply a likeable and nice person with whom we enjoyed spending the 5 days. The people from Africa Tours have done everything within their possibilities to provide us (26 PAX) a fantastic experience and they succeeded. The preparation upfront, the tour itself, the pricing were perfect. All boolings (lodges, flights, transfers, etc..) were correct, on time and beyond all expectations. Professional and well organized
We went on a 3-day safari tour to lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Tarangire and we saw so many beautiful animals (hippo, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes and many more). It was absolutely incredible. Had an amazing time!

Fantastic, intimate and personal experience of the wild.
We had a great experience. Love the way that our guide, Kavi, made each game drive and event so personal and fun. Kavi and his team made every effort for us to relax and truly enjoy our stay. Loved it thoroughly!!! Would recommend it for a personal interaction with the guide as well as the South African bush and it's animals, like no other Safari I have been on.

Pros:
- Very affordable considering the overall experience ($750 / person - all expenses included).
- Amazing food considering all the limitations (no markets, kitchen,...).
- We were able to see 4 out of the big 5s: very close actually - 1m -, we actually saw a rhyno but it was miles away.
- Other animals like: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffe, zebras, warthogs, gazelles, hyenas,.. also close (1m). Cheetah and ostrich was pretty close (30-50m).
- Jeep experience.
1st day = Guide + 7 people.
On 1st day the person close to the driver's seat was not able to have a good experience (no rooftop and limited windows) - however, it was not part of our group, so we did not care.
2-4th day = Guide + 5 people.
On the other days, with 5 people, it was amazing. Space enough for everyone. Everyone has a big window (no middle seat) and we can open the rooftop to enjoy the experience.
Cons:
- The guide for the 4 days was not very passionate about the experience.
- Expected to start the experience before dawn to have a better chance to see hunts. Not really, very lazy guide.
- Long hours until we reach our destination. Half of your day is spent on the road, stops for food, wc,.. Which is normal, but we had the feeling sometimes it was too much.
- Our sleeping bags had a bad smell.. we had to sleep with a lot of clothes.
- Our hostel was changed on the 1st day without proper notice. The one communicated was way better (+swimming pool). Not a big deal but not good communication.
- Taxes for the payment. You are counting with a big value (thousands of €$) and then you have to add +5%. This can be negotiated as most of the time you can complain and pay 3.5%. I get it, but please keep this in mind.

Great experience with Wild Root Safaris
Mathew at Wild Root Safaris looked after our group of 8 really well during our trip. We did a day safari trip to Tarangire, and a 7 day trip to summit Mt Kilimanjaro using the Lemosho route. He was easy to communicate with before, during and after the trip, and his staff are great to work with - well experienced, kind, and always kept us safe. The food was also great during the trip! I highly recommend Wild Root Safaris, and would certainly choose them if we come to Tanzania again.
