Exceptional person on an unforgettable holiday in Uganda !
5/5

Frank is a very knowledgeable, reliable and caring person who took us on a fabulous trip through his country. He knows the places to go (local bars, local restaurants, schools, tribes, nice lodges,...) and gave us a true 'local' experience.
The trip was much more than 'just a safari'. He really brought us in close contact with the local culture as well. We had unforgettable encounters that we would never have lived without Frank.
He drove us through the fabulous national parks of Sipi Falls, Kidepo, Murchison, Queen Elisabeth, Bwindi, Lake Mburo, always looking for big and small animals. He will do everything he can to spot the 'big 5' and to give you an exceptional wild life experience. And on top of that, he is a bird watcher and photographer. He will always look for the right place to allow you to take that one fabulous picture.

From the very first contact (via email and Zoom) one can tell the professionalism of Frank. He will do everything to accommodate the tour to your wishes.

And to make it complete: Frank is a very warm person with a lot of fine humor.
No doubt that we will go back to Uganda and certainly it will be with Frank as our tour guide!

The most reliable tour company ever met
5/5

With Copious Africa Safaris, we went on a seven-day safari during which time we saw the well-known Masaai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli. Our trip was made extraordinary and unforgettable by our guide Daniel, who was a superb driver, guide, and animal lover. Like the back of his hand, he was familiar with every park. All the animals are his coworkers, as he put it, and this love was evident throughout the entire encounter. We were both going on our first safari, and Daniel, who has been traveling for at least 15 years, shared our delight at seeing the animals. Even from a great distance, he could see them, and he always went above and above to take us to the ideal spots to observe. Daniels knowledge of Kenya's history, culture, and economy as well as his ability to respond to any question concerning Kenya left us in awe.
The accommodation and the food provided at each park were some of the best on the market. We always felt quite safe traveling around because the car was so nice and tidy.

AMAZING TRIP!!
5/5

Copious Africa Safaris took us on a 7-day safari trip to the 4 best Kenyan national parks and conservancy regions, beginning in Samburu and ending in the Masaai Mara. The safari was THE BEST of our lives! We had the chance to see all the animals we had always wanted to see, including lions, black rhinos, white rhinos, cheetahs, and leopards (several times), as well as zebras, cubs, elephants, and buffalos. Every lodge was excellent, beyond our expectations! We had been on various safaris before, but we had never encountered a better travel company like Copious Africa.

Everything was flawlessly planned out! I wholeheartedly endorse Copious Africa Safaris. Daniel and I had excellent communication via WhatsApp, and he did a terrific job of anticipating my queries.

Outstanding 6 days Safari with Colours Africa Tours
5/5

Sadly we are leaving today, after having one of the best trip ever.
Every detail from the first WhatsApp exchanged with one of the partners until the last follow up phone call, was really taken care of.
It was a 5 nights / 6 days shared Safari trip with a visit to the Massai village (not a touristic one and very authentic), Tarangire National Park, 2 full days in Serengeti and Ngorongoro cráter.
Most competitive price out of all the other proposals we received (and with the same itinerary).
We immediately bonded with the other 4 people who were sharing the jeep with us and had lots of fun.
The driver (Livin) was friendly, knowgeable, funny, kept us safe all the time and eagled eye in finding animals.
The cook (Nathan) provided delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner we were really surprised of how nice the food was (we all put on a couple of kilos).
Facilities were basic but had everything (in the second camping Simba A there was hot water). The tents we were assigned were very spacious and had zebras grazing around during the night.
I recommend this company 100 %.

Excellent at providing comprehensive package and answering any and all questions promptly.
5/5

My primary goal was to see Victoria Falls, and do a safari (my first) since already in Africa. After research on Safaribookings.com, I found that Gondwana offered the most attractive package. I worked with Mark at Gondwana who not only answered all questions, including those I wasn't smart enough to ask, but also made suggestions to improve the affordability. Final result was an fantastic experience not only at Victoria Falls, but Hwange National Park and Matopos as well. The amount and variety of wildlife I was amazing. And the lodging at Vic Falls (Batonka Lodge), Hwange (Ivory Lodge), and Matopos (Amalinda Lodge) was well beyond anything I was expecting. The service was amazing: they truly do anticipate your needs before you think to ask. With Mark's suggestions, the trip was more affordable than I had expected and everything went according to plan. I have nothing but positive to convey about the entire trip.

Absolutely fantastic group -- thanks to Norah & Hubert for an incredible vacation.
5/5

Norah (agent) and Hubert (guide) were absolute rockstars. All the reviews here are spot-on; definitely use this company for your safari. Norah was incredibly patient in helping craft a perfect itinerary and very responsive (from when we first booked in 2019 through COVID and ultimately through our trip in Sep '22). Hubert was phenomenal in coordinating with the guides to make sure we were in all the best spots at the right times. He even sped us around the Northern Serengeti to make sure we got as many river crossings as possible (we got lucky with five!).

A few tips when planning/coordinating with your tour guide:

- Do some research on the options the agent gives you for lodging. We trusted Norah and got lucky with awesome spots, but worth looking at the options she offers with a bit more detail. 3* typically means tented camps (which have generators that don't go 24/7), 4* typically means tented lodge (full power, but you can't walk around at night bc you're in individual units in the middle of the wild), and 5* typically means lodges (e.g., Serena). Huge fan of the tented lodges (4*) with a few lodges (5*) sprinkled in.

- Tarangire is ok. I'm glad we did it first because it seemed cool at the time, but looking back, it was by far the least interesting day of our safari.

- If you go during the migration (Jul-Oct I think?), a chance at the Mara River Crossing is worth the extra 1-2 days to get the Northern Serengeti. We were lucky to see FIVE crossings in a day and a half. Super cool to see.

- Go to Zanzibar to relax afterwards and if you're looking for a 5* property, maybe ask for alternatives to the Melia and do some research. We weren't super impressed by it, but maybe that's actually the best option.

Wandering Thru makes it easy to plan an Amazing African Adventure!
5/5

I am usually an independent solo traveler, but the sheer number of choices – of locations and lodging – for an African safari was overwhelming even for me. For my first trip to Africa, I decided to take advantage of some local knowledge and expert guides to help me choose and plan the adventure. After a simple email message, the team at Wandering Thru put together a few options from which to choose and, after I chose the itinerary, they made all the arrangements, taking care of logistics in South Africa and Botswana. All I had to do is book my international and regional flights, let Wandering Thru know my arrival/departure times, and look forward to the experience. The journey was so amazing – relaxing yet exciting – that my first thought upon my return home was “I’m ready to go again.”

For part of my trip, I joined a preplanned privately guided safari with Tristan Dicks. The idea of a trip with Tristan or one of the other Wandering Thru private guides is what really convinced me to finally fulfill this bucket list experience. Check out Safari Live episodes from 2018 and 2019 on YouTube for examples of their guiding expertise. The time spent in the Sabi Sand Reserve was special not just for the intimacy of the wildlife sightings but also the time spent with a small group of wonderful safari goers and guides.

Since the long journey to Africa would hardly have been worth it for just a few days, I decided to add on a couple of other locations in Botswana – near Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta. Even though these were not part of a planned Wandering Thru trip, the team at Wandering Thru made all the arrangements, from picking the lodges, suggesting the amount of time to spend at each, and coordinating all the logistics. The lodges, landscapes and wildlife sightings were all amazing.

I will definitely use Wandering Thru again for my next trip to Africa.

Best Safari Vacation ever
5/5

The Safari tour was very well organized and planned from the start which was pick up from Nairobi to finish which was drop off at westlands . We were fortunate to witness some wildlife migration across the Mara river. For us that was the highlight of the safari, seeing hundreds of wildebeests and zebras dangerously crossing the crocodile infested waters. The tour was very exciting because we had boat safari and several morning and afternoon game drives throughout the days.

Ben was our tour driver and guide, he was very professional and had a unique interest and respect for nature and wildlife. He was very friendly, punctual patient and told us amazing things about the culture and game. We had great spots for taking photos and the accommodation was also very nice and located close to the wildlife. Everything was fantastic, both food and service.

The trip was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the Landcruiser drives and I would honestly recommend this company to anyone who wishes to have a Kenyan safari experience.
