About: Tanzania
It was unforgettable!

We were picked up by our driver at 4am and taken to the airport, where we were met other safari travellers waiting to board.
After our hand luggage and passports were checked, we boarded the plane for the short 30min ride to Tanzania.

We arrived directly in Nyerere national part and our driver was waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome. He asked what animals we hoped to see and much to our delight we saw them all - elephants, lions, zebras, water buffalo, hippos, crocs, wilderbeast, giraffes and so much more!
We didn't stop for lunch until around noon, so my feed back to tour operators would be please consider that a lot people are up very early for this trip, so having a flask of tea/coffee and some pastries in the jeep would be appreciated. We didn't have time at the airport to pickup food (anyways it is quite limited) so we were hungry in the morning.

Other than that, the whole trip was well organized, considerate and best of all fun! We absolutely loved it!

About: Tanzania
Tanzania was every bit as good as we had hoped.

We did not know what to expect from a Safari tour, or from Tanzania in general. For us it was a step into uncharted territory.
I’m delighted to say that the trip proved to be outstanding. Our Safari was a remarkable experience and one which I would wholeheartedly recommend. To see so much wildlife in a natural habitat was amazing.
Other than the tour we did not explore Tanzania more widely. We did stay in a hotel in Dar Es Salaam for one night at each end of our Safari. The hotel staff and the hotel itself were very good. In fact a warm and gracious welcome awaited us everywhere we visited our stayed on the mainland and then afterwards when we stayed in Zanzibar for one week. That Safari/Zanzibar combination makes for a great holiday.
Not only was the food good in most places we visited, but Swahili generosity extends to portion size as well - so you will not find yourself going hungry in Tanzania.
If you don’t visit Tanzania you are definitely missing out on a terrific experience.

Review about Nyerere National Park by Andy Bees
Overall rating
5/5

The large area of this park means that the wildlife can be a bit more spread-out and the animals can be a bit more timid of vehicles. But in my opinion that is a good thing and exactly as it should be. Another plus is that the scenery is amazing and appears largely unspoiled. You could easily lose yourself if you were not with a guide. We really liked Nyerere (Selous).

carol provided excellent service for my friend and I planning our trip to Canada. As our first trip adventure to Canada, we had many questions, and each one was answered diligently, thoroughly, and knowledgeably. Every detail....from beginning to end, travel arrangements, transfers to hotels, choices of hotels, camp we stayed at and enjoyed our camping and excursions in and around Toronto, and Vancouver. The entire trip (one month) was wonderful and meticulously planned. We visited museums parks, art galleries, hiked etc without any problem. I would highly recommend kameraz of Africa as your preferred travel partner ✨✨

Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru adventure
4/5

This was an amazing experience. We could not find a better Safari compared to the price. Jimmy was a great guide and was a pleasure to be around. We strongly recommend spending some time at the Masai Village at the Masai Mara as well.
Pros: Good price, on point pickup and drop off, great game drive program.
Cons: Food was of low quality.

We feel we saw everything that you need to see of safaris in Kenya - so dont hesitate to book.

Great value for the money
5/5

We did the mid-level accommodations (Jambo Mara Safari Lodge) for 2 days / 1 night and upgraded from a shared group tour to a private tour for $100 US, which was very worth it. On the group tour you depart Nairobi at 9am and begin your return at 9am from Masai, only getting 2-3 hours of game drive per day. For the private tour, we left Nairobi at 6am and departed Maasai at 11am, meaning we got 5-6 hours of game drive the first day and 4 hours the second day. Additionally, we were a group of two, so the vehicle was much more comfortable with the extra space and ability to move around. We were often the first people to find cheetahs and lions, so he would call other guides to let them know where to go.

Suggestions to others booking:
1) When coordinating the trip with Karibu Safaris, use whatsapp. They were quicker to respond there.
2) Ask for the driver's number upon confirming your booking so you can communicate during pickup. We were expecting a 6am pickup but the driver arrived around 6:20am.
3) Bring snacks. We did that and it was important since lunch often doesn't happen until 1-2pm.
4) Ask to stop somewhere for lunch on the return drive. We were given a pre-packaged lunch of a basic sandwich and fruit, which wasn't great. All other meals were good, but lunch during the return was below average.
5) Bring some warm clothes as it can get chilly in Maasai Mara at night/morning, as well as in the vehicle when the wind is rushing in.

Perfect safari
5/5

We had an amazing safari with Widman Tours. There were some very last minute changes fom our side, but they responded quickly to our messages and made requested adjustments. Communication was smooth from the beginning to the end.

The value for money was great. We saw all imaginable animals and even spent some extra time at the national park, which was wonderful.

Overall, very reliable and professional tour operator. Couldn't have asked for more perfect safari experience. We highly recommend Widman Tours & Safaris!
