Our most beautiful journey
We tend to be cautious and particular when it comes to entrusting the planning of a trip to an agency. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of organization provided by 'Expect in Africa.' Everything was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations, thanks to the meticulous work by Lawrence and Richard. From the moment we arrived, we felt a genuine connection with our guide, Raymond, which truly enhanced our journey. The selection of accommodations was astounding, likely among the most luxurious, all while maintaining a reasonable cost compared to competitors offering basic tent accommodations. Whether it's about comfort, services, food, or facilities, everything matches the standards of top-notch hotels. The remarkable difference? All of this is offered right in the heart of the savannah!
As for our exploration in the parks, we had an incredible experience under the guidance of our delightful guide, Raymond, whose keen eyes helped us spot and admire all the wildlife living in these parks! Raymond is a true scholar when it comes to wildlife and flora. Whether it's the animals, trees, plants, reptiles, or insects, he'll provide you with a detailed explanation, supported by credible sources, including books aboard the vehicle for those eager to learn more. Speaking of the vehicle, it's a recent model, excellently equipped, and comfortable, ensuring we lacked nothing on our journey.
We can't thank the entire team enough for the incredible experience they provided. We look forward to reuniting with them on our next adventure. We highly recommend this wonderful family-owned business that genuinely cares for its customers.

Always helpful and making sure we are satisfied.
Marurumi Safaris will do everything to give you an amazing and a comforting stay.
We booked a seven day safari through all of Kenya.
Saw the Big Five, herds of all different animals, lions and hyenas with their prey, as well as the Masai village and the big city of Nairobi.
The main reason for our great adventure was our Guide Robinson.
Very commited, always caring and making sure we are happy and safe.
He was always in a great mood even after a 6 hours car ride.
Sometimes traffic can really slow down your journey to the next destination.
When that happened we switched the plans to still be able to go for a walking safari and fun boat ride.
Communication was good and clear. I would recommend getting the number of your driver at the beginning of the itineary to make sure you can contact him if needed.
The car was spacious and Robinson made sure it was clean every single morning.
Lots of drinking water is available so there is no need to worry.
On our last day Robinson surprised us once again when he not just drove us 5 hours to Nairobi, but also spend the rest of the day with us at Sarit Mall and then drove us to the airport at 10:30 PM so we don't have to be bored at the airport for our late night flight.
So all in all, we had an amazing week with a great guide and a supportive tour operator.

Great customer service
From inquiry to the safari all was handled effectively and on time. Risper is quick in responding and providing all information through email. Our driver/tour guide William was fantastic. So glad we got to experience our safari with him.

DON’T BOOK WITH THEM
Purity was the operator that I was talking to by email. At the beginning she was answering quickly to my questions so I decided to book and pay the amount she told me. Once I paid I had to wait since 31st May to 29th June to have my confirmation. I had to send several emails (without answer) and that was feeling like a scam. After that, I had to write her a few days before to make sure everything was fine and that was when she told me the planning had changed “because the government increased the price of the entrance fee”, so we had 1 day of 5 without visit to any park. Even that happened and I was informed two days before arrival, the price stayed the same. When we arrived there hopefully we met the best driver ever, Ken, who was working for another company and took care of us with all his love. The last day he informed us that we were going to change into another car to arrive at Namanga border where we were supposed to take a bus that would bring us to our hotel in Arusha (final destination). We met that second driver at Amboseli’a date. He came driving his van very fast and shouting at us and at Ken. We couldn’t understand anything but finally he left us there without explanation and left driving unsafe. That was a nightmare for us, that were about to lose our shuttle bus and were scared. We had to change into a third van and arrived at Namanga border where we met Abbas, the man that was going to “help” us within there. He asked us the name of the hotel in Arusha and said Arusha wasn’t safe so they will going to bring us our hotel. Finally we took the bus but our destination changed again without explanation as he left us somewhere in Arusha. We had to take a taxi after being in the middle of 20-30 men trying to force us to go with them on their “taxis”, in a very unsafe area. When I reached Purity on WhatsApp she seemed surprised and worried but when I asked for the amount of the taxi she turned the same: no answer, no help, so I had to talk to my lawyer to start a process against the company. Sometimes you go for the cheapest and that turns into the most expensive experience. Think twice before booking…

Awesome, highly recommended
What an awesome trip. The communication from the company was timely and the level of service was excellent.
Noel picked me up from the airport and we hit it off straight away and had lots of laughs. He gave me a good tip to only pack what I needed for the safari in a big rucksack, and to leave my suitcase, which they'd kindly look after.
The accommodation was exactly as booked and was really good quality, all the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Cannot recommend Serengeti Luxury Safaris highly enough, definitely use them for your next trip.

An 8 day super exciting safari-trip through Tanzania’s Serengeti area with Mussa Harrison
We have booked our self compiled Safari at Matoke tours. We have travelled 8 days to Tarangire, Serengeti, we saw the great crossing, and after that the Ngorongoro crater with Mussa Harrison as our magnificent guide/driver. What a great kind and warm driver, with his sharp eyes he spotted the Leopard but also the Cheetah. All his knowledge over the different areas and residents, mostly Masai and his knowledge of all the animals, made the Safari unforgettable for us.
The highlights which we saw were the great crossing (3 x), the leopard, the cheeta’s with children and all the lions hunting, eating and sleeping.
The hyena took the prey from the cheeta’s, the crocodile attacks the gnu, what have we not seen ?
The timing, the place to be, is the result of Mussa’s knowledge, experience and devotion. Mussa again many thanks for this unforgetable Safari tour.
The accomodations Planet Lodge Arusha, Tarangire Tortilles Camp, Serengeti Tortilles Camp, Serengeti River Camp and Ngorongoro Tortilles Camp are all above expectations (Jambo Jambo Karibu). One remark for all, the beds where a bit too hard for us, but all the people/staff/teams were friendly and very helpfull. We won’t forget you to make this an amazing trip.
