Amazing holiday of alifetime
With covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world, we decided to travel to Africa for our anniversary after the reopening of airports in most countries globally and Uganda was our desired destination. We searched around for our trip management company and Mukisa Safaris emerged as our company of choice. We're extremely happy that we chose Mukisa Safaris. The company exhibited much professionalism during our trip organization and execution. During the pre-trip communication, Richard was exceedingly helpful and would reply very promptly to our queries. On arrival at the airport, we were picked amidst observing the SOPs directly to our booked hotel where we started off our safari in the morning. We visited several places including Murchison falls, Kibale Forest and Bwindi and we were in the company of our guide Veronica and John. These two are wonderful and amazing people. They were so friendly, courteous and professional. Veronica was so knowledgeable about Uganda and her knowledge about birds and all the animals was breathtaking. Ugandans are loving and kind. They made our stay in Uganda so memorable. I highly recommend Mukisa Safaris.

Good wildlife, good company!
I had an excellent trip to Uganda a two years ago with Tom. He had planned our itinerary meticulously and was an excellent photography guide - Always willing to offer advice without being pushy. Different primates and colourful lizards were everywhere, but the highlights included a trio of lion club at Murchison Falls that had been left hiding alone in the long grass, a large troop of chimpanzee eating from a fig tree in Kibale, and just how close you could get to the rhinos at Ziwa.
It is definitely only a question of when I head back to Africa, rather than if, and I am already browsing Pictus' 2022 catalogue for inspiration.

Exceptional service and attitude
Perhaps your are planning your safari trip and trying to choose between dozens of similar companies. I made requests to three different companies and eventually picked Safari Soles. Although their offering was a bit more expensive, I am so glad for my choice.
First of all, if you have never been to a safari, you should definitely go and try it. You will see endless fields full of different animals, living in peace and harmony. You will see elephants and lions just two meters near your jeep. And hyenas will be singing you lullabies at nights :) You'll also see stunning sunrises and sunsets. After this trip you will not want to go to Europe for a holiday, and definitely you'll never go to a zoo again :)
So how are Safari Soles different from other companies?
1. Bryson - the person is charge - was very quick. He provided me with the most detailed reply to my questions, and his reply was the very first. Other companies just sent me their standard replies ignoring my questions at all. Bryson also was very helpful and polite. He recommended us and drove to an exchange point with good rates, and even borrowed us money on our first day :) Upon our request he also recommended us a great guide on Zanzibar. He could address all our questions and queries.
2. Accommodation. One night at a hotel before our safari trip was included in the offering. I know that usually companies accommodate their clients at very budget hotels or even at hostels. In our case the hotel was quite good. The room was very comfortable and had all necessary facilities. There was a pool at the hotel, and the restaurant was very good too.
3. David, the guide. David was just amazing. He could easily spot lions and cheetahs in 5 kilometers. The "big five" was not a challenge for us, but a trivial task. We also saw dozens of elephants, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, buffalos, wild beasts, impalas, jackals, pumbaas, zebras, and many many other animals and birds. David is also a very positive person and has good vibes :) We also could stay as much as we wanted near animals we liked. There was no rush and we felt very freуlly and comfortable.
4. The trip. Usually a group consists of 6 persons. We were lucky and on the first day we were just alone with David. We spent the first night at a budget lodge with a pool, which I think is better than a tent (near Tarangire). On the second day two more people joined us, and we were four. We were very lucky to met those wonderful people and enjoyed their company. It was very comfortable to travel in a group of four, much better then in a group of 6.
5. Salamon, the cook. I saw that people in other groups would eat potato with sausages. We would eat spaghetti Bolognese, beef stew, Tanzanian pizza, national cuisine, etc. We went to Zanzibar after our safari troop and sometimes the food at restaurants there was worse then our dinners on the safari.
The trip was a real adventure, which I will never forget. I am very grateful to Bryson, David and Salamon, and miss my group very much :) That was one of the best days of my life.

An unforgettable experience and best Safari Trip ever!
We've decided very spontaneously going to Tanzania and got a few quotes from different companies. Justice from African Big Cats responded very quickly and everything was well organised.
Emanuel, our Guide has welcomed us very friendly at the airport and did take care of us during the whole Safari Trip. He has a great knowledge about the areas in the Parks, the Nature as well as all the animals. We really enjoyed our trip and had a lot of fun. Perfect and impressive 15 days - safari and primate trekking
Together with my wife I spent 15 days with "Gorillas and Beyond" and the owner named Wyclef in Uganda. We visited different national parks, went on safaris - watched the Big 5 (lion and leopard!), Went gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, saw beautiful lakes and got to know local villages.
It was an absolutely great experience - thanks to our guide Wyclef
After spending 15 days with him, it felt like leaving a friend. In addition to his great knowledge of Ugandan culture, its customs and Uganda's history, he can answer almost any question about Ugandan wildlife and even their birds.
He knows where to find the best restaurants and lodges - and he has a lot of contacts in almost every place in Uganda. There won't be a problem that he can't solve.
The main reason I would recommend Wyclef is because of his character - he's totally trustworthy, has a good sense of humor, and you are just comfortable around him.
Also, its prices are better than similar operators and far better than major international operators.
If you plan to return, Wyclef would always be my first choice.

An incredible experience - the best company in Kenya
From first communicating with Robert at Beacon Safaris, until the end of our six-day safari with Antony, the whole experience was excellent. Robert was always timely and clear in his emails, offering an incredibly good-value package and providing so much useful advice, including by making it so easy to navigate current requirements around COVID testing for travel, and with being really flexible and understanding about the need to change the dates of the trip due to travel restrictions, which Robert did for us with no difficulties at all. Antony was the guide for our six day safari across Amboseli, Nakuru and Maasai Mara, and was a better guide than anyone could hope for. As well as being kind and good-humoured, and taking us for amazing game drives across all of the parks, Anthony is phenomenally knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in all the parks, being able to name the most obscure birds, and somehow finding incredible wildlife to track, such as a pack of cheetahs hunting a hartebeest in Maasai Mara, a huge pride of lions, and so many roving herds of elephant. I cannot recommend Beacon highly enough. I hope to return for another safari with them, and will be strongly recommending them to friends and family. Thanks to Antony and Robert!

The BEST trip of my life
This was my first safari experience and it was absolutely AMAZING!
I traveled from the US and worked with Peter to plan the trip and make my payment and he was so professional, kind, and prompt with his responses so he made the process very smooth and comfortable. My tour guide was Edward and he is the BEST! Edward knew so much about the animals and the land we were exploring. He does his job SO great and I’m so happy we had him as our guide. We got to see ALL of the Big 5 and Edward even taught me some Swahili! I would highly recommend this adventure for anyone, you will absolutely love it!
