Rose was absolutely the most professional, efficient and thorough organizer we could have hoped for.
My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I just returned from an amazing 14 day African experience. We contacted a number of safari companies asking for a proposed itinerary and cost breakdown as we were unsure as to where we should go and what to expect. Rose Hipwood came back with the most exciting and thorough proposal of all and after reading the reviews on Luxury Safaris and Rose, we decided to go with this company.
Our trip was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. If someone was supposed to meet us, they were there. If a plane, jeep or boat was to transport us from one place to another, they were there. We had excellent accommodations at all three camps including friendly staff, delicious meals and cocktails, experienced guides and drivers.....it could not have been better.
Throughout the planning process, Rose was ALWAYS available and responsive to our questions and concerns and helped guide us through the travel challenges we were presented with due to the COVID pandemic.
We would all highly recommend Rose and Luxury Safaris to anyone interested in visiting this amazing country. We experienced fantastic adventures which provided us with memories that will last a lifetime.

Extraordinary service
5 Stars Safari tops almost everything we have experienced yet in 15 years of intense travelling the world. Owner Mandy Strauss provided for our 26-days-trip through Namibia an extraordinary service: 1. Before the trip: Responding within 24 hours at least, being very transparent about her moves on our behalf and about quotes of lodges or flight services, knowing REALLY a lot of people in Namibia (she is a former journalist), listening carefully to every single wish of ours, answering to ANY kind of questions and comments we had, having been as flexible and fair as possible to adapt her pre-Corona payment conditions to the accurate situation. 2. During the trip: having prepared a charming welcome gift (a cook book) and a VIP welcome with a guy from the Namibian ministry of tourism for us, staying in constant touch with our overwhelmingly caring driver/guide Mr. Andrew throughout the trip and being available almost around the clock.
This was professionalism at its best - it was a pleasure to be her clients. Beside that Namibia appears to be currently the better South Africa: beautiful sceneries, excellent food, kind people, animals, BUT no rivalries between the tribes and no tensions between Blacks and the descendants of German and Dutch immigrants. For German speaking tourists Namibia offers also a surprisingly big foot print of the German culture: buildings, shops, farms, restaurants, cleanliness on the roads, safety even in towns. THANK YOU! We do want to come again.

Outstanding service during a challenging time!
We booked and paid for our Safari long before any of us had ever heard of covid. Five of us originally planned to go May 2020 and after anxiously waiting we were finally able to go in May 2021 and it was perfect in every way!
The entire staff at Jumbari was outstanding to work with during the booking and planning stages, but what really impressed me was how they handled the situation during covid. There were so many unknowns, but they stayed in touch during the long year of waiting and they rebooked for us without additional costs or fees.
They coordinated the details and logistics of covid testing and made the entire process stress free.
We went to Victoria Falls, the Panorama Route, Kruger and Sabi Sands. We loved the accommodations and planned activities.
This was my fourth booking of a company found on Safari Bookings and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service provided by Jumbari. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them as a trusted partner.

A quality tour, but room for improvement
Maraka Tours and Safaris gave us a great time in Uganda. However, they lacked strong communication and preparedness at times. For example, important documents were often misplaced which delayed our travels, we had multiple vehicle issues, some preventable, and we were often arriving very late to our lodges. While no African Safari is without issues, some issues we had on our trip were completely preventable and this is what left us feeling frustrated at times. It is my hope and wish that Maraka will continue to improve their service in order to better demonstrate preparedness to all future clients.
While I still recommend Maraka, I encourage all future guests to understand there will likely be hiccups and to make sure you understand the full itinerary and the very long drives. I hope Maraka can continue to improve as they grow and help make future safaris even better!
I will also say that the staff at Maraka are excellent and very kind. While we did have the issues, they were always trying to work through them. Again, as they grow I hope they will straighten out some things to help make their tours run smoother.

Picked me up from my house and dropped me off there as well. The whole experience was excellent, They booked us in one of the best Hotel in the Masai Mara. (Jambo Mara) Everything indicated in the package was included. The game drive in the Mara is a worthwhile adventure. I highly recommend them, they are experts in what they do. Book with them for your next trip without any kind of doubt

The most wonderful safari in Tanzania
The whole safari was perfectly organized and the communication was quite effective, fast and this company's coordination is quite commendable.
The Game Drive was amazing. We saw a lot of animals and different beautiful landscapes. Our guide was really friendly and understanding not to mention his knowledge, he really made the 5 day safari worth every shilling we spent. Above all he made us feel really comfortable,he also told us a lot of interesting facts about the animals, landscapes and Tanzania in general. Everyday was a greater experience than the previous day! We hope to return to Tanzania and work with this tour operator again.
Our nights were wonderful and we felt welcome there from the first second we arrived, the location was also amazing. It was the perfect place! On the last day our driver got us safely back to the airport. It was a perfect safari.

Mohamed was absolutely amazing and made sure that we had a wonderful experience
The most amazing thing about the trip was that we got see the big four wild animals. Mohamed was very informative about the animals and the service was amazing. I won't forget about the food during the trip it was so delicious and it felt like I was in a hotel and not a campsite. If I was to do the trip again I will definitely do it with Telly safaris. I Highly recommend them. Also very professional

I reached out to John to discuss several itineraries for Mount Kenya. He was always extremely responsive and willing to provide more information and answer my questions. Working with him to arrange the trip was seamless, even as we added more trekkers to the group a few weeks before the hike. They were extremely accommodating to our group with people coming from Nairobi and Nanyuki.
We selected a 4 day Mount Kenya trek up the Sirimon route and down Chogoria. The inital plan was to stay in huts, but at my request, John and his team quickly set up a trip where we could camp and see Lake Ellis. The guides and porters were absolutely phenomenal! They were encouraging, supportive, and provided us with everything we needed to make it to Point Lenana! The food was amazing as well. I have zero complaints and would highly recommend Keshi Tours to anyone!
