Amazing safari with Safari Direct Tanzania, highly recommended.
I had an unforgettable and amazing safari with Mufasa and Safari Direct Tanzania in late
August 2022. Mufasa took care of everything, so that all we had to do was
sit back and take in the splendor of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro
Crater. This was my 5th safari, but my first one in Tanzania. And
this one did not disappoint. I saw lions, giraffes, and elephants up so
close that you could almost touch them. The highlight was seeing approximately 500,000 wildebeest crossing the Mara river at one time.
Yes, you read that number right, that is the estimate that Mufasa and other
guides believed crossed the river that afternoon. Another highlight was a
hot air balloon ride over the Mara river and of course, 2 nights at the Four
Seasons Serengeti are unforgettable. Thank you Mufasa for everything that
you did to make sure that this experience lived up to my high expectations.
I highly recommend Mufasa and his team at Tanzania Direct for a world class
safari experience.

Excellent value for money
We travelled as a large group over 2 vehicles. Castro and Maurice were both professional and accommodating towards our requests and confidently answered every question we had about the parks and the animals. They were both very friendly and personable towards our group. The entire trip was well organised and despite being delayed on arrival, our guides ensured that we completed everything on the itinerary and more. Their ability to find animals was very good and the information shared with us was informative. Many thanks to Castro and Maurice’s efforts for making it an unforgettable trip.

We did a 3 day, 2 night safari (Serengeti/Ngorongoro Crater) with Crater Explorer, Tours, and Safaris and LOVED it! Emanuel was super helpful in communicating with us before hand, answering any questions and concerns we had. He met us at the hotel the evening we arrived, and was there the morning of our safari, introducing us to our guide and our cook. Pascal was an awesome guide, full of information on the animals, trees, plants, and more. He made sure we were comfortable and got the best out of our time. Our cook, Emanuel (another Emanuel) was incredible! We had so much delicious food and he spent so much time making sure we were well fed and taken care of. We saw lots of animals, and the trip was an affordable price! All in all, it was a great experience! I would highly recommend this company!

Crater tours was fantastic
Our driver was Pascal and our cook Emmanuel. From the minute we were picked up from the airport till the end of our tour we were greeted with kindness and respect. They made it their mission to make our trip memorable. We stayed in a hotel far nicer than I expected when picked up from the airport and then the next morning we were picked up at 7.30 for our drive to the Serengeti by Pascal and Emmanuel. Pascal was so much fun as our driver,very knowledgeable and went over and above to help us find as much animals as possible and every day we had like a 5 course meal of very delicious food cooked by the talented cook Emmanuel. We opted for the 2 night 3 day tented accommodation and they were surprisingly comfortable but please believe them when they tell you to dress warmly,it really does get cold at night!! Warning if you are scared of heights like me close your eyes when going up into the serengeti and into the Ngorongoro crater ,it's really steep but so worth it when you get in..first night we slept with hyena,s as our back ground noise and 2nd night we actually had a elephant and zebra,s in and around our tents

My husband and I are in our mid to late sixties and have a wonderful time wild camping in Botswana this October. We have been to Kenya twice, Uganda and South Africa, but this safari beat them all. We wanted a different experience to the previous ones and we certainly got it. Before we have stayed in large tents and lodges but this was proper camping in a 2 person tent with camp beds. We were a bit concerned if we could cope with this - because of our age, but it was fine.
It was such a great experience camping, just the two of us and Rock and Tebogo. To see elephants, in the delta, at night around your tent, so close you could almost touch them was amazing, one night it was a mother and baby. Another night in another camp a leopard actually walked behind our tent and we got to watch it. We saw so many animals, the stand out being beautiful lions. We also saw Wild Dogs for the first time.
Our guides, Rock and Tebogo, were great, they knew so much about the animals and their behaviour. Rock seemed to find us the best sightings everyday so we had a lot of time watching them before other vehicles arrived. (There were far fewer vehicles around us than we have experienced on our other safaris, which was a huge plus.) Rock also cooked fantastic food with a lot of variety, and Tebogo showed us things that we otherwise would have missed including the smallest owl that I have ever seen. He also had great knowledge about the night sky and stars. The two of them could not have done more to make it an unforgettable time in Botswana.
We would highly recommend this type of safari. Camping in the bush, hearing the animals at night was unforgettable.

They were perfect in each detail.
It was a great safari experience. We booked it for 3 days. Suricata safaris made all arrangements perfectly. We had enough game view for 3 days. Airport pickup and drop was handled by Mr Tee(Tulip). He waited for us with a patience even If we delayed for an hour. Tour guide Max was very easygoing chill person, he gave enough explanation about the animals. I cannot recall the name of the cook but he was very clean with the food and a hardworking chef, thanks for the delicious food. I will definitely repeat it again with Suricata Safaris, but this time it will be for 5/6 days.
