Knowledgeable guide found the big 5!
I had a great 2-night, 3-day Maasai Mara safari experience through SafariBookings.com. Thanks to our exceptional guide Raymond, a true professional with 15 years of game drive experience, we had the privilege of spotting the Big Five. Raymond's knowledge enriched our journey as we witnessed the mesmerizing wildebeest and zebra migration, observed a cheetah on the hunt, and marveled at the elusive rhino and leopard.
The Maasai Mara itself is a stunning park, and even though there were numerous other safari companies present, competing to get to the sighting first. Raymond's expertise ensured we reached the sights before others, adding an extra layer of excitement for us.
The camping site provided much-needed comfort after a day of exploration, offering amenities like hot water, comfortable beds, and charging facilities.
While the food was substandard, it was understandable considering the reasonable price of the trip. My partner is a fussy eater and struggled more than me. Day 1 we had lunch in buffet style on the road, with dinner in the camp, day 2 was breakfast and dinner in the camp with a packed picnic lunch while out on Safari. Day 3 was breakfast in the camp and lunch on the road. We opted out of lunch on day 3 with our whole group wanting to get back to Nairobi ASAP!
Our schedule included a thrilling drive from 4:30 PM to 7 PM on the first day, followed by a full day (7 AM to 6 PM) on the second. Unfortunately, the third day's visit to the Maasai village didn't match the excitement of the rest of the trip. While enjoyable, the very touristy village visit came with high-pressure sales tactics for overpriced items, slightly dampening the experience.
Raymond later dropped us directly at our hotel.
For fellow travelers, bringing cash is recommended, especially for buying beverages at the bar and offering tips to campsite staff and guides. If the group intends to visit the Maasai village, be prepared for additional charges.
Raymond went above and beyond, assisting us with ATM trips and money exchange when we fell short.
Overall, the SafariBookings.com Maasai Mara adventure with Raymond was fantastic, despite a few minor downsides.

Don't look further than Mazingira for your Safari in Tanzania
“My wife and I have recently returned from the most amazing trip to Tanzania to witness the “great migration”. We were in Mombasa for a wedding and dreamt of witnessing the great migration, visiting the Ngorongoro crater and seeing all the Serengeti had to offer. Online navigation of the various tour companies is a minefield but we liked the look and sound of Mazingira Eco Safaris; and boy what a great choice this turned out be. We had a complex “wish” list, difficult logistics given we were in Mombasa for a wedding and a need for some adventure. Jacob at Mazingira responded immediately to my email, we were on a long whattsapp telephone call shortly after and had a full itinerary agreed in jig time. Jacob and his company were amazing from start to finish, they arranged our collection from Mombasa (by road to Arusha…an adventure in itself!), all the accommodation/lodges/hotels, all meals and every bit of flexibility we wanted. Truly great service and everything went like clockwork…not a hitch, never a delay. I can’t say I wasn’t concerned with sending such large sums of money as deposits and final payments prior to arriving in country but these concerns were completely unfounded. And a last note of appreciation goes to the Mazingira guide that Jacob assigned to our trip…Lucas. You spend an awful lot of time with your guide while on safari. Lucas was deeply knowledgeable of the wildlife, it was incredible how much he shared with us, not just the names of more obscure species but behaviours, habits and histories of nearly everything found on the Serengeti….but much more than this, Lucas helped us understand Tanzania, the people and the cultures, he was incredibly fun to be around and we had some great conversations on all variety of subjects. Lucas was amazing! So, if you are looking for a tour company in Tanzania, Jacob and Mazingira should be your first choice….

I cannot speak more highly about this Expedition. I went to a tour spanning 3 locations Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar over 9 days.
I honestly had everything covered. Paul is an excellent manager who was available 24/7 from a year prior to the safari (when we first booked it) until the last day as we flew back.
The team was OUTSTANDING we felt safe, and taken care of at all times and all accomodations were unbelievably well priced

Fantastic Experience
We did a 6 day safari across Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro and Lake Manyara in August 2023. Everything was organised incredibly well.
Our guide Saidi was excellent at teaching us about these beautiful places and creatures. We were lucky to see both leopards and cheetahs up close additionally to scores of elephants and lions. The mix of lodge and camp was a great balance and good value for money. A key highlight was also the hard work of the chef Victor that cooked us superb meals throughout the trip.

Our tour consultant Susan was fabulous - put together a great itinerary and was very responsive.
We set up a trip to visit CapeTown, Stellenbosch, Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls. That was a lot to squeeze into two weeks, but we wouldn’t have dropped anything off, just stayed a little longer so we would have had a minimum of 2 nights at every stop. The highlights were wine tasting in Stellenbosch, touring CapeTown, our fabulous stay off the grid in the Okavango Delta, game drives in Chobe, and seeing Victoria Falls. We had a group of 16 so no small task to get an itinerary that suited all, but Susan was very patient as we had to shift dates due to school schedules. We had 7 children in our group and everyone along the way was very accommodating. Our group was very compatible however, so all in all we enjoyed the camaraderie. No big issues along the way - just some minor problems. Some of us got sick for a day but it passed quickly and we only had to drop off a game drive or two. The food was wonderful and every place we stayed at set up one big table where we could dine together. Susan kept in close contact along the way and fixed a few things for us. The trip was great value for the money! Can’t wait to go back!!
