AMAZING. This was the trip of a lifetime to us, and Mama Savana was excellent. Mama Savana delivered to our expectations with their honest communication and high quality service in every aspect:
Planning and communication: right from the start, Alex was very honest, accommodating, understanding, and cooperative. He answered all our questions and listened to all our requests, and built us an amazing custom itinerary to meet all our requirements. The communication started by email, but I would recommend contacting him on whatsapp too especially when confirming the itinerary and cost (for extra security). Closer to the trip start, he kept us informed with the latest entry health checks, forms, visa applications. We were picked up from the airport to the hotel in Nairobi, and Alex called us before the start of our safari to ensure that we were comfortable and had all we needed, and was available on whatsapp for whenever we needed to reach him. There was a miscommunication that led to a change in activities for one day of our safari, and Mama Savana team handled it very professionally and even went as far as to offer us dinner and a city tour after the safari as an apology. Overall, they went above and beyond to ensure that we had the trip of our dreams, and we could not be happier.
Car and driver: Mama savana use 4x4 land cruisers for their safaris. The car fits 7 passengers total, with a fridge for cool water and outlets for charging. The seats were comfortable and our driver never had any trouble navigating the terrain of different parks all over Kenya. Juma (Jay) was our driver during our 10-day trip and we could not have asked for a better driver and guide! He kept the car clean, organized, and smelling fresh despite the dusty game drives. Jay made the long drives very comfortable and fun. He is punctual, respectful, and is taking care of us and accommodating all our requests. We enjoyed his company very much and we already miss him!
Animal viewing: We saw amazing animals during our safari, more than we even expected or hoped to see before our trip! We saw the big 5 and special 5 and had the BEST viewing spots for the river crossing. Jay was a great asset here because of his amazing experience navigating through the parks and spotting animals with unmatched skill. Most times, he’d see the animals from far distances without even needing binoculars. He also made sure to get as close as safely allowed to the animals, and we got AMAZING shots.
Our experience in Kenya has been truly exceptional, and we are very thankful we chose Mama Savana. 100% recommend, you can’t go wrong with them. Ask for Jay!

in two days we saw the big 5 thanks to our guide but I recommend a longer stay because all the landscapes are different and a multitude of animals to discover.
They are also very responsible for the welfare of wild animals so no worries on that side.

A truly incredible and unique experience! We chose the 4 day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and it was really all perfect! We saw a lot of animals up close! Rocky, our guide, is truly a special person, he welcomed us and guided us in every place with great passion and knowledge! An added value also goes to the chef Ben who cooked excellent typical food for us every day! Last but not least Ally who was always very helpful with our every request and even helped us solve the problem of lost luggage! Super recommended! We were really lucky!

The organisation, the route selection, the safari vehicle and choice of hotels were fantastic. However, the real asset which made the safari outstanding was our guide Mwita.
We travelled in a group of 4 adults and two 12 year old children. Mwita adapted the program to our needs and was extremely attentive especially to our children.
Our daughters said, that he is very funny and appreciated the games he invented to keep their attention. They said they would recommend Mwita to all children making a safari.
Mwita found a vast selection of animals which we had the impression other groups did not see.
Our days were full and extremely well organized by our guide.
We found Mwita to be a very good and responsible driver. His experience of the locations in the parks from his childhood and outside as well as his knowledge of animals and how to spot them made the safari with him an unforgettable experience.
We saw lions, cheetahs, leopards and 15 Baby lions and many more but we only saw them because of Mwita who mostly was the first who found them. He always asked us wich animals we wanted to see and then we saw them very very close next to the car. Before the safari, the office was very reactive to design our safari to our needs and was quickly available to answer our questions.
The safari vehicle was very well suited for us 6. We could leave all our luggage not needed for the safari at the Arusha planet lodge leaving more space in the car.
The accommodations (in our case Arusha planet lodge, Eileen’s tree inn and Serengeti heritage tented camp) were very clean, large and well suited. The Serengeti heritage tented camp was for us a highlight; to stay in the nature with the luxury and safety of very comfortable rooms.
The food in the accommodation in the morning and evening was buffet style and of high quality. For lunch we were provided with warm meals to be eaten during the trip while on safari.
We can highly recommend lion king adventures and our guide Mwita.

What a great trip!! Pembury, specifically Anya was fantastic to work with. She took all my ideas - which were all over the place, and incorporated them into a well-organized, seamless, once in a lifetime experience. Anya was available and responded immediately to all my concerns prior and during our trip. All connections ran without incident and the properties she booked for us were all excellent - better than we expected! Our trip ended up with just the two of us - instead of the original 6. It was so personalized and our private tour guides were knowledgeable and fun to be with. I looked into a number of companies and am so happy I decided to go with Pembury.
