5/5

We had a great time! Thalo was a very good driver and friendly. We had a wonderful time and saw everything we hoped for and more. The food was tasty and the tents were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend Sekanka!

Excellent overall experience with the Suricata team
5/5

We booked a private 3 day safari with Suricata Safaris this January, and had a thoroughly amazing time. Since this was our first safari experience, we did a lot of research to finalize upon them , and the Suricata team certainly lived up to & in many cases exceeded the expectations that we had of them.
We connected with Tizia initially and were assisted very promptly in identifying the best options for the Safari given we had a 2 year old with us. They took care of every aspect from the airport pick up, to every meal we had while on Safari, till we were dropped off at the airport at the end.
Our 3 day safari experience which included Tarangire & a stay within the park, Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro was superb, and Rockie our guide/driver ensured we saw everything including a prized sighting of the Big 5! He was extremely knowledgeable & very engaging even with our 2 year old son, and we know we made a new Rafiki

Agency that brokers stays at Game lodges in South Africa
4/5

I was a little late looking for a Game Lodge close to Cape Town and somehow ended up with Gems of Africa.

They were not able to get me a stay at one lodge, but the stay had to be split on two lodges. Due to a storm one of those than had to close for a longer period for renovation and Gems got me an alternative - unfortunately with a 3-4 hour drive instead of 30 min. In the end the drive was not too bad, since I got to see a little bit of the country. Bad thing: I had to pay extra, because the alternative lodge was a little more expensive. Well, it probably also was a little more luxurious.

Gems of Africa handled everything nicely. Thank you!

Incredible and very welcoming and kind
5/5

My friends and I (4 people, 21-22 years old) went together with Cha Cha, Anaeli and their team and had the most amazing experience. Everybody were really welcoming and kind, and gave their advice on everything necessary and gave us options all the way to the top. They really did everything they could to make is as good an experience as possible for us. As well as that the cook Peter made great food and really did his best to make any and everything we could want (and also asked us to just say if we wanted different things to accommodate us). Further all the porters were extremely nice and helpfull and included us in both dancing and singing all the way.
And to end the review I would also like to mention the to upcoming guides who went with us and Cha Cha and Anaeli to the top, they did a great job at keeping the motivation up in the dark hours of the night before the top.

In general the entire team were great and both me and my companions warmly recommend the team.

Great organization, great car, great guide
5/5

We had an extraordinary stay and super well organized by gladiola. We rented a car with a driver-guide (Omari) who speaks French. He was great. Great reservation process, they answered all our questions. Landcruiser car with removable roof very well. We did the Taranguire, Manyara and Ngorongoro with a toddler. We saw a lot of animals including many elephants and lions and even a leopard!
Highly recommended! They are great, on top!

EXCEPTIONAL 5-Star Planning & Service!
5/5

My husband and I worked with Sophie and Rose to plan our 3-week honeymoon (Safari, Cape Town/Winelands, and Seychelles). This was the first time ever working with a travel agent. We cannot recommend them more highly - from the first outreach they were super professional, knowledgeable, personable, organized and responsive. They took the time to understand what we wanted to get out of our honeymoon over the phone, then put together a draft itinerary in a couple of days (with several different options for each part of the trip). There was ample back and forth to revise the itinerary to what we were looking for. Since we were set on the Seychelles for part of our trip, they partnered with their sister booking company (Hummingbird), which was seamless. All in all, the honeymoon was the trip of a lifetime -- absolutely incredible from start to finish! The safari lodges were very high end, chic, exceptional service, small boutique feel (20 guests max), and we saw the most incredible wildlife. The hotels in Cape Town & Winelands were 5-star boutique hotels that had great local feels to them. And the hotel is the Seychelles was the most magnificent place we've ever stayed. All of the transfers were handled for us flawlessly, people greeted us at the airports -- I must say it was so nice to have all of the domestic flights and travel handled on our behalf in a foreign country we weren't familiar with. When we do another trip back to Africa, we will definitely use Luxury Safari Co again -- thank you for everything Sophie and Rose!

Incredible Guide and Tour!!!
5/5

Sep. 2022
Oh my where to begin.....the stars were certainly aligned for me when I first started to plan our "African Adventure" and when doing a "Google" search in January 2020 stumbled upon the name Wyclef Rushaju and his small travel company "Gorillas and Beyond". I started corresponding with Wyclef on a regular basis as we planned our tour of Uganda and Rwanda for the fall 2020. Delayed two years due to the Covid pandemic my husband, Darren, and I finally arrived in Entebbe on September 12, 2022 for the start of our tour that included 14 days in Uganda and 3 days in Rwanda. By the time we met Wyclef at the Pineapple Guest House it felt like we were reconnecting with an old friend. When we said goodbye in Kigali on September 28th it was with most grateful hearts and a few tears as Wyclef was not just our tour guide but also a treasured friend. Our tours of Uganda and Rwanda included visits to: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchinson Falls National Park, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mburo National Park, Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga National Park, Volcanos National Park and Genocide Museum in Kigali. We saw an incredible array of birds and animals, witnessed stunning sunrises and sunsets, trekked to observe chimpanzees, mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, enjoyed learning about the Bigodi and Batwa people during community walks, climbed Mt. Bisoke in pouring rain, stayed in lovely lodges, ate delicious food....the list is endless. While all of these experiences were amazing we will also remember how much Wyclef taught us about Uganda and Africa....he is one of the smartest people we have ever met...roadside stops for fresh pineapples and little sweet bananas when he learned how much we loved them, steady supply of cold Coke Zero for Darren (bought by Wyclef and supplied to the lodges we stayed in so Darren could have his daily fix), patience while he helped me learn to identify dozens of birds, surprise lunch with his lovely wife Lydia and two young sons, staying in his beautiful Bweza Gorilla Lodge just outside of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, tireless days and evenings at the wheel to ensure that we experienced amazing game drives and his ever present smile and humor! If you get the opportunity to do a tour with Wyclef and "Gorillas and Beyond" you will be very lucky!
