A lifetime of memories!
5/5

This is a trip we'll remember forever! Lion King made it so smooth and easy - all we had to do was show up and everything was taken care of. Our guide, Fred, was fantastic. His many years of experience shows - he knows the parks intimately and was skilled at finding & identifying animals. He was a smooth driver on the notoriously bumpy roads. He always checked in to make sure we were getting the experience we wanted. I would recommend Lion King and Fred to friends and family!

Extremely happy that we picked Nhlalala to handle our Kruger park experience
5/5

We did 4 day Kruger Park and Panorama route experience and stayed in Kruger Gate Hotel.
It was the first time for us doing the Safari so we wanted to make sure we chose the good tour company. We have contacted more than 5 different tour agencies offering Kruger park packages and after looking into the packages and accommodation options each company offers, we decided to go with Nhlalala. One of the main reasons was that we were very interested in doing Panorama route, however, many companies would only offer a few stops on Panorama route. After receiving the itinerary from Norman, we felt this was more personal and well though through tour experience which also included all the Panorama points we wished to see. Another reason for choosing Nhlalala was that they offered the hotel options we liked the most and they had different choice in comparison to other tour companies that seemed to offer the same accommodation.
Initially we planned on staying at the 3 star accommodation but in the end we decided to go for 4 star accommodation which was Kruger Gate Hotel. We think this was the best choice we made. The hotel is beautiful, feels luxurious and the pictures do not do the justice. Most of the hotel's common and room areas are on the platform which gives a nice jungle feel with the amazing dinning area. You can dress up or dress down for the evening which is a great bonus. The food choice is superb and the staff is super friendly. The hotel is on the border of Kruger park so you can see Kruger park while having cocktails by the pool area. On the first day of our arrival, we spotted buffalos just outside the hotel and we were told elephants come to drink water nearby every evening. We were never bitten by any mosquitoes which was a huge surprise for us, especially in the evenings!
First day we arrived we had a sunset safari drive where we managed to spot 4 out of big 5 animals and others such as Zebras and Giraffes and the following day we saw all big 5 during the first part of the day. We were told we were very lucky, however, we think using the local safari tour guides is the best option because they are familiar with the Kruger park as well as they communicate with each other where they spotted the animals so they can take you there quickly. During short safari trips we shared the car with 4 other people, however the vehicle was big and it had plenty of room for everyone. On the full day safari tour, we had smaller vehicle and it was only two of us in the car. Even though sharing the vehicle with others is fun, we enjoyed very much having the vehicle to ourselves as we were able to switch seats and hide in the shade from the hot sun.
Norman has been looking after us throughout the whole trip, he would meet us each day in the mornings or after the safari tours just to check on us and follow up with the next day plan. Norman took as around Panorama route too and we had so much fun! He is such a kind and gentle person and it was our pleasure to have him as our tour guide. Also, knowing that he was born and raised near Kruger park makes it more special for anyone wishing to have a truly local tour guide.
We highly recommend this tour agency. The experience we had exceeded our expectations.

Warm welcoming with full explanation.
4/5

Our guide Ramsoh and his staff were really friendly with us.
He could answer all questions we asked him, even about the plants, flowers and trees.
We will never forget his delicious local food.
And, of course, all animals we could see.

Professional but with a warm and loving smile: Lomo was great. A lovely welcome with sparkling wine and a snack at the airport, a good and elaborate lunch during the tour, a committed and kind guide: a very warm atmosphere. Any time!

Very good value for money!
5/5

Great great experience from start to finish. Great communication with our contact point, Noel! He did everything he could to help us and made our trip easier. Also, our driver and guide in the Safari, Bakari, was an excellent professional with very good knowledge of the animals that we saw. He also did everything he could in order for us to have the best experience possible.

Definitely recommend these guys!

Unforgettable experience!
5/5

I spent a week in Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater with King Solomon as our guide. It was an amazing adventure and we had some of the best wildlife viewing in large part thanks to King Solomon. He always knew the best spots and was very knowledgeable and patient. He was well-connected at the parks, with other tour guides and at the lodges, which definitely helped. The highlight of the trip was seeing the great migration. A good tour guide makes all the difference in a safari and we were fortunate to have King Solomon!

An amazing safari experience
5/5

Very well organized tour and excellent tour guide.
We had 2 days Safari with two game drives. Communication from the begging to the actual day was very good and Justin ( person with whom we had started communication) was responsive and supportive. He provided us advises about tour activities and made requested adjustments, all questions were solved. The tour was exactly as agreed, accommodation was lovely with local flavors.
But our tour wouldn’t be so amazing without our guide Elly! He is an excellent guide with deep and comprehensive knowledge about African wild life, person, who really loves nature with a very nice science of humor on top of all. His stories about animals and birds life, habits and rituals, as well as about local people and traditions made our tour unforgettable .
In terms of value for money compared to other tours this was very good.
Overall an amazing experience and I fully recommend.
For travelers: be prepared that in January could be really very hot and sunny, so thin long sleeve clothes are highly recommended.

Great experience! Highly recommended!
5/5

Our experience in Tanzania during January 2023 with African Big Cats was really amazing. The guide (Endeni) that travelled with us during the trip made our experience even better. He spoke perfect Spanish which for was very important for us in order to understand everything. We were able to see all types of animals (including the Big Five). We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommended.
Thank you African Big Cats. We look forward to coming back to visit you guys very soon.

About: Uganda
A wonderful destination in every way
Overall rating
5/5

If you’re considering a safari, Uganda should be your top choice - it's a beautiful country in every way. Amazing food, diverse wildlife, friendly people and very safe compared to some other countries in the region. Weather and vibes are perfect, and Uganda offers some stunning accommodation options - whether that be in a jungle, by one of their enormous picturesque lakes, or out on the savannah. A highly underrated holiday choice!
