There aren’t really words to say how much we loved our canoe safari. Except to say I wish my every day looked like those three days. Immersed in the silence and symphonies of the bush, surrounded by indescribable beauty and wildlife. Our guides were AMAZING. I wanted to cry when we left them. They felt like friends by the end. Friends who know every flora and fauna in this piece of paradise and whose entire existence is to make you feel safe and comfortable. They were outstanding. It was Worth every penny and more. I hope we can do it again.

Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic safari in Tsavo and Amboseli with Meander Africa Safaris. We were picked up at the airport by our wonderful guide Evans upon landing in Kenya with the welcome Kits Labelled Karibu Kenya Hakuna Matata. Evans was very knowledgeable on the wildlife and Avery pleasant person. The accommodation was also beyond our expectations. We recommend Meander Africa Safaris to anyone who wishes to make a memorable safari like us. Can’t wait to come back to Kenya again.

An Exciting Adventure in the African Bush
Having travelled with Peter, my guide, on many occasions, I knew I was in for a fabulous safari and this adventure lived up to all expectations. I left London on a dreary, February day and was met bright and early at the airport in Nairobi by my smiling host, ready to guide me on a tailor-made itinerary to some of the most quintessential National Parks and game reserves in Kenya. The first week went ahead as planned, staying in much-loved camps and lodges in the Tsavos and Amboseli where we were treated royally with traditional warmth and Kenyan hospitality. We saw lions feasting on their kill, large numbers of elephants coloured red with the Tsavo dust or black from the swamp at Amboseli, leopards patrolling their territories, a sea of pink flamingos under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, visited the elephant I sponsor at the SWT reintegration unit and watched elephants and a leopard at a floodlit waterhole overlooked from the dining area as we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the luxury of our beautiful lodge. Although we had originally planned to visit the Maasai Mara, the day I flew to Kenya many parts of the Mara suffered severe flooding and due to his wide experience as a guide and his consideration for my safety, Peter was able to rearrange our safari at very short notice and we enjoyed the nature and scenery at Samburu, Sweetwaters and Naivasha instead. The amazing wildlife sightings continued with many highlights including following a pride of lions along a track where we were the only vehicle observing this majestic family, a close encounter with the last two remaining Northern White Rhinos and hippos and an abundance of waterbirds seen whilst on a relaxing boat ride. Our final, stunning sunset was spent with a pride of eleven lions as they climbed trees and made their way along the dam and through the golden grass. Peter's expertise, enthusiasm and ability to always find the prime position at each sighting, combined with his understanding and prediction of animal behaviour, enabled us to make the most of every precious moment of a wonderful safari. Unforgettable!
Despite the current conditions, we made the choice to go on vacation to Tanzania.
Bartho (our organizer) was easily reachable by phone to answer our questions.
We were two families with 4 children aged between 5 and 12 years old
He adapted a tour for our two families.
We made a 10% deposit payment to confirm our trip through Paspal.
We were met at the airport by our organizer Bartho and our two guides Simba and Andrew.
The atmosphere of the trip was given from the start with local fields and learning on the way a few essential words (jumbo, Mambo, Poa, Pole pole ...)
Our French-speaking guides as well as our chef Dullah with his healthy, delicious, varied and balanced cuisine have done everything to ensure that we can spend pleasant moments with friends and family.
The accommodations lived up to our expectations.
We were able to see a lot, a lot of animals.
The last day we had the chance to see the leopard on three occasions.

Magical Northern Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris
My wife and I decided on a whim to do a safari in Africa in early October 2020, and didn't leave ourselves more than a couple of weeks to set everything up. All we knew was that we wanted to do Tanzania and we were recommended Gosheni Safaris by a friend of a friend and decided to go with them.
I got in touch with Peter from Gosheni. From the start, Peter was prompt and helpful in setting it up. Due to Covid, our flights were rescheduled multiple times, but Peter was accommodating - always happy to rework the itinerary. Since we hadn’t done a full-blown safari before, 8 full days of it for our first trip to anywhere in Africa seemed too much. But it went more smoothly than any holiday I can remember.
We were to land early one evening, be met at the airport, start the safari drives the next morning and be dropped back at the airport 8 days later. William was our friend, philosopher, guide, driver and window to Africa - and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
We did Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area, Central and Northern Serengeti and Lake Manyara. William is an excellent driver, a great wildlife spotter, knowledgeable on birds and animals across the entire area, extremely punctual and very patient. We spotted and photographed over 140 different species during our safari.
William was always aware of what we would prefer to do. Within a few hours he had figured out our interests (we are avid photographers and aren’t particularly fussed about when we eat or what we eat), and went out of his way to ensure that we always had what we wanted.
Accommodation and food was excellent throughout. The staff we met at the various lodges were friendly and talkative, and we had fantastic service and food the entire time.
I strongly encourage people to travel to Africa and go on safari. The experience is magical. And go with Gosheni. They went above and beyond expectations to make sure that this bucket-list item would be ticked off in style.

Customer sensitive and friendly
My sister and I had an amazing 5 nights safari with Meander Africa safaris. Ebby handled our requests, she promptly provided responses to all our questions and concerns. The level of professionalism was top notch and this made us book through Meander Africa. On the day of arrival we were picked up by Fred - a very friendly guide. He was our guide for the entire trip and he is so knowledgeable and very very cheerful. He is a very good spotter and ensured we got nice photos of animals. The game drives were fantastic. We saw almost all the big five, we managed to see a kill by the cheetars. The camps we stayed in are so beautiful, the food and staff were all wonderful and all made our stay in memorable – in all the parks we visited, that is Samburu, Lake Nakuru and the famous Masaai Mara.
