Easy to arrange, reliable, friendly and knowledgeable
We made a last minute decision to book a safari and didn’t have much time to do any research. So we just trusted Axis and selected a tour that would cover the main things we wanted to do. It was really easy to arrange the tour with Lennox, he answered all my questions on what’s app and was super friendly. Arrived on time at agreed pick up in Nairobi and then off we went!! Our guide was Sir Charles, he was perfect for us, relaxed, easy going, full of knowledge and experience. We liked that he was happy to adapt to things we wanted to do, such as the chance to be outside the jeep at times, and to plan in relaxation time aswell. We don’t get chance to holiday together very often so it was good to spend time in the beautiful lodges aswell as in game drives. We saw some incredible sights, lions, leopard, cheetah, elephants, rhinos and many more. Seemed like Sir Charles had a secret knowledge of where to go because we always ended up at the right place at right time!! Unforgettable memories, a beautiful place and a great company with lovely friendly guide to do it with, thank you!

Very nice and helpful people
With a small group of friends (5) and driver-guide Peter I made three tours in Uganda. First a one-day trip to Entebbe, the Zoo and Botanical Garden, and Kampala: the Royal Palace and the Grand Mosque. The second trip was a three-days trip to the west of Uganda, Front Portal, Queen Elizabeth Natural Park, etc. and the third one: a one-day trip to Jinja and the source of the Nile.
I enjoyed the trips very much, the people of Lion Tours and Travel are professional, very helpful and friendly, nice people. The driver-guide Peter, a very nice man, made me feel welcome and at home. I liked that he participated in the group is one of the members. Peter is a good driver and he knows a lot about the country, I liked talking with him and listening to him.

Great Operator!!! I definitely recommend!
We organized our trip online from germany. After first contact, we had the chance to organize everything with Jackson on whats app, which made it very easy for us. I was already feeling comfortable, when he was asking about tiny details like allegies e.g.. He and his company will do anything that you will have the best stay. Our guide was a nice and fun guy speaking good english and the cook made on every meal great food. Of course we saw the the big five and had a great time on the safari-jeep.

Perfect trip with Amanya and Bamboo Ecotours
Going with guide/driver Amanya from Bamboo Ecotours on the 2-day-tour from Kigali to Bwindi National Park seeing mountain gorillas.
Nice person, good at telling about Rwanda and Uganda, the trek and so on - and a safe driver.
Would definitely recommend others to go!

Nothing short of incredible.
We expected it to be good and it covered all that we could have hoped for. The experience itself was special but what made it incredible was our driver/guide.
I can't compliment Khalid enough, such an interesting guy with huge passion for what he does, friendly, excitable, attentive and an all round pleasure to be in the company of.
I would not hesitate to book again and would be sure to point any friends and family if your direction should they look to take a similar trip.

Incredible experience with incredible people
Everything about this trip was pleasant. Coordinating the details of my itinerary with Noel was easy and communication was fast and clear. Airport and hotel pick up and drop off was on time and organized. Noel the came to my hotel after I arrived and walked me through the tour details.
Most importantly our amazing guide Issa made this trip unforgettable. He took care of all of our asks and worked really hard to find all the animals that we wanted to see (cheetahs, leopards, the black rhino).

Discover Africa Safaris helped organize the perfect vacation for my family.
In mid-2022, my 73 year old mother decided that she wanted to take a trip after being cooped up in the house for several years. She had gone on a safari in Kenya back in the 1980s and wanted another adventure along those lines. I suggested South Africa and the rest was history. Discover Africa Safaris was actually one of the first tour companies I came in contact with while looking for the perfect trip to accommodate our group: me (31), my mother (73), my cousin (38), and her father (71). We were a group of varying energy levels & ability, so I was somewhat worried about finding the right fit. It was not long after contacting Discover Africa that I realized my fears were unfounded. They took care of everything -- even making suggestions and moving things around for us that I had not even considered. I've done a considerable amount of solo travel & backpacking where I've had to personally organize every single aspect of the trip, and it felt wonderful to just let it go and let the professionals take charge.
Our agent Alice was excellent -- she always responded to our questions quickly & thoughtfully (despite the pesky time difference) and organized an unforgettable trip across two lodges (Arathusa in Sabi Sands & Jock Safari Lodge in Southern Kruger, respectively) where we met wonderful people, ate incredible food, made lifelong contacts, and experienced wildlife and nature in a way that I can only describe as spiritual and life-affirming.
As I mentioned before, this is not necessarily the style of travel that I'm used to so I don't have the best reference point for overall cost, but I believe that the value and quality of tour we received was well worth the money spent, especially with such a wide range of ages in our group. Not once was I ever worried about our group's safety, health, or the overall quality of service we received on this trip. It was the perfect way to sit back, relax, and experience the beauty that this world has to offer.
