Our East African adventure. Kenya and Tanzania very safe and welcoming countries. Organised by Sylvester and his team. He was always checking that our itinerary was going to plan and that we were happy. Any problems were dealt with quickly. We saw so much in a short time, including the big five and more. we were able to get really close up to elephants and lions, which surrounded us in our secure jeep. The hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara was spectacular, and very professionally organised. We saw crocodiles, hippos, and endangered black rhinos. One camp was at the base of Kilimanjaro which is a beautiful site to see. Another was in the centre of the Serengeti, surrounded by wild life. We were protected by Masai warriors who guarded the camps. The food was excellent and plentiful and very fresh. Everybody was extremely friendly. Our trip was well organised, we were cared for by good drivers and guides during the day, and staff and security guards in the lodges and camps at night. Every day was a different experience, after safari we were taken by a short flight to the exotic and historical islands of Zanzibar, where we relaxed in an amazing resort all inclusive. There was lots to see and do there. We did a tour of Stone town, which was included. We also swam with dolphins, snorkelled, and did some jet skiing. On two days we just enjoyed the atmosphere. Then at the end of our trip we were escorted back to Nairobi for our flight home.

We have just finished our 6 nights / 7-day Tanzanian safari with Mama Savana. Our first point of contact was with Alex, the owner of Mama Savana who was extremely efficient in responding to our initial queries and very accommodating to the changes we wanted. We arrived at JRO Airport and was welcomed by Issa (a young lad with a brilliant smile); our transfer driver who took us straight to Arusha Planet Lodge; a lush green resort. Alex was also there to welcome us, and he briefed us on the safari itinerary, which was extremely thoughtful. From day 2 onwards, we were entrusted with Hassan, who we spent most of the time with visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Hassan is very passionate about his job, having extremely sharp eyes and good communication skills when it comes to spotting wildlife and explaining about them. We saw all the of the big5 including the elusive leopard and the shy Black rhino. He ensured our safety at all times and nowhere was it compromised at all. Overall, I would definitely recommend Mama Savana for their professionalism and service.

Great safari
We had an absolutely timeless safari in August 2022. Valence, our guide was excellent, customizing each day according to our desires, allowing us to fully enjoy this unique stay. Magnificent lodges with absolutely delicious food, perfect hospitality and breathtaking landscapes. We are leaving with the family in December 2023 and once again trust African Big Cats safari to make us dream a second time.

Reliable, professional, accessible, flexible.
We can only recommend Bamboo Ecotours as travel agency. Initial contact was very fast and easy. During the booking process we felt well guided by Edison who assured our trust in the payment procedure. The basic rate is still comfortable with own toilet/bathroom in every accommodation. They provided good and mostly organic food. We enjoyed, that we could adjust the travel route to our preferences (e.g. Pick-up in Kigali, drop-off in Kampala). We will never forget the Gorilla trekking and Chimp trekking! You should not miss an overnight stay at lake Bunyonyi.
A special recommendation goes to our driver, Jackson, on whom we could not only rely 100 % but who was also the source of cultural and historical insights on Uganda and who - through his clever and intelligent personality - made longer car trips a very pleasant experience. If you can, pick him!

Amazing Safari Experience
We did the shared safari tour. Meijo looked after us from start to finish with top quality service. The communication was excellent throughout and compared to the other your groups we met I would say they were a great value for your money.
We saw all of the animals we wanted to see and more. Big 5 and more. It was very special to be able to see a rhino and chetass and we couldn’t have done it without Pascal, our tour guide.
The food was great and fresh typical tanzanian cuisin prepared by chef Thomas.
The camping was phenomenal. The views were extraordinary and the campsites were clean and well maintained. We were worried we wouldn’t find the camping clean as there are mixed reviews but we loved every part of it.
Sleeping amonst wild beats is an experience we will never forget.
We even had an acommodation upgrade due to low season. Meijo provided a lodge at the Serengeti, free of charge.
All in all, It was a flawless experience and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

The tour was great! Our guide Andrew made an amazing job and he was always giving us his best to make sure we were enjoying the experience. The accommodations were simple but clean and comfortable and the meals were also very good. We saw a lot of animals and had a great time!

I tried their mountain gorilla trekking experience which included mountain gorilla tracking, boat cruise at Lake Mburo, bird watching and wildlife safari. We had 2 guides including Boaz and Arthur. They were super accommodating and friendly. I had a really wonderful experience and would highly recommend them to anyone.
